?? years ago – the middle man between Ethan and the CIA is killed

?? years ago – It was Hidemi’s job to introduce a new middle man “Barney”

4 years ago – Ethan dies to protect Hidemi and cement her place in the BO, Barney kills himself in front of Gin and Vodka

Ch238-242 – Vermouth is called to Japan to assist Pisco in the murder of politician Nomiguchi Shigehiko

<1 year ago – Chris begins to visit Dr. Araide with plans to kill and impersonate him, FBI tracks Vermouth to Japan

<1 year ago – Shibuya Nastuko (28), elementary teacher, helps Jodie out with teaching skills while she is posing as an English teacher

<1 year ago – Jodie fakes Dr. Araide’s death which makes it easier for Vermouth to impersonate him, Araide and family sent to live in America

Ch255-257 – Both Jodie and Vermouth have taken their positions in the school

Ch287-289 – The same day as the bus jacking the altered police files were stolen along with extra files, Akai says “target (Gin?) did not appear”

<1 year ago – Kir visits Vermouth several times while she was disguised as Araide, Jodie witnesses this

Ch325-327 – Akai calls James to Japan to assist with the investigation, presumably against Gin

<1 year ago – Jodie sneaks into Araide’s hospital and copies the photos of Conan, Ran, and “Sherry” (happens sometime after ch340)

Ch379-383 – Akai was positioned very near the train station where Conan attempted to complete Itakura Suguru’s deal with BO

Ch420-422 – By this point both Vermouth and Akai have bugged Agasa’s house

Ch429-434 – Showdown between Jodie and Vermouth at the shipyard

Ch500-502 – Jodie and James aid Conan in preventing the assassination of Yasuteru Domon,

Ch503-504 – Kir is captured by the FBI, Akai helps to prevent assassination of Kogoro

Ch595-598 – FBI outs Kusuda Rikumichi as a BO spy at the hospital and chases him until he commits suicide

<1 year ago – Conan and Akai reveal Hidemi as a CIA agent to Eisuke and form a plan to return her

Ch600-603 – The main arc of Clash of Red and Black, Kir is returned to the BO

Ch608-609 – Akai’s death is faked thanks to a plan concocted by Conan

Ch622-624 – “Okiya Subaru” appears, his apartment burns down and he moves in to Shinichi’s house

<1 year ago – Yukiko begins to visit Subaru in order to teach him how to cook

Ch638-640 – Kir informs Jodie that an agent named “Bourbon” is now on the move

Ch677-679 – Scar Akai appears and follows Jodie into Teito bank as it is being robbed, He saves Conan’s life, and Jodie takes note of his hat

Ch700-701 – Jodie tracks the hat, Camel sees Scar Akai, Scar Akai leaves a note for Jodie “Run! This place is dangerous”

Ch702-704 – Okiya observes Scar Akai from a distance, Jodie chases Scar Akai at the end and bumps into Okiya but doesn’t notice him

Ch778-780 – Camel and Jodie think that Sera Masumi reminds them of someone, James is the only person to get her gender correct first try

Ch812-814 – Subaru figures out that Conan is really Kudou Shinichi (Akai only)

Ch850-852 – Conan tells Jodie that Scar Akai is really Bourbon, a man named Amuro Touru, aided by Vermouth

Ch891-893 – Jodie and Camel see disguise-less Amuro in person for the first time, Camel lets slip information about Kusuda Rikumichi

Ch894-897 – Amuro Vs Akai, Akai is revealed to be alive to Jodie and Camel, Amuro’s real name is Furuya Rei

Ch898 – Akai tells Jodie and Camel that he got a text from Kir about Rum, someone even more important that Gin…..

 

 

Shrinking

It’s really unclear what the FBI knows as a whole on the concept of shrinking. Jodie clearly noticed the similarities between Haibara and the person in the photo on Vermouth’s wall, “Sherry”. However it seems like she knew that the photo was of an older person. She asks Vermouth how the two are connected and it would seem that she never got a clear answer. James Black is the first FBI agent to actually refer to Haibara as “Sherry” while talking to Jodie in the hospital in the aftermath of the shootout in the Shipyard. James gives off the impression that he knows about many things, but it’s really all speculation at this point (because even Camel has gotten more screen time than James at this point). As far as we know, Camel does not seem to know much about the hunt for Vermouth, as he was still in America, and would not have any of the information needed understand shrinking at this point. Akai has clearly figured it out though. He has had the chance to meet Shiho in person, up to 5 years ago, while she was working inside the BO. With whatever knowledge he has of that time, he seemed to come to the conclusion really quickly that Haibara is Shiho is “Sherry”. With that knowledge, upon moving in to Shinichi’s house as “Okiya Subaru”, he tried to prove that Conan was also a shrunken person. When Ran comes to the house during the paper airplane case, he literally tells her that he had searched the house for proof of Shinichi, because things like clothing and photos had been removed. Later during Yusaku’s cold case, he is finally able to prove to himself that Conan is Shinichi.

 

Tequila, Pisco, and Itakura Sugaru

As far as I can tell, they do not know of the events involving these characters. Conan never tells them about these events on screen, presumably because they might give away to the FBI something about shrinking. The true nature of Itakura’s program is still unknown. However I do want to note that immediately after Conan attempts to complete Itakura’s deal with the BO, that Akai was present outside the train station where the deal went down. He was also listening to the news through some headphones that state that Itakura died. We do not know if Akai actually new about any of this, but it is possible that from his time in the BO that he might have known something about Itakura.

 

The CIA

Information gathered by Jodie and Conan leads them to conclude that Ethan Hondou was a member of “the company”, The CIA, and was infiltrating the BO. Other information gathered by Akai, from a hobo, concluded that Ethan had been killed 4 years ago by a member of the BO once he was found to be a spy. Later it was found of that the situation was different. Mizunashi Rena was also a member of the CIA and secretly Ethan’s daughter, Hidemi. It was her job to infiltrate the BO to introduce a new CIA middle man to Ethan. However, the BO had planted a tracker and to prevent her from being found out, Ethan stages the area to look like he had been murdered by her, and then kills himself. Currently Hidemi is infiltrating the BO as a CIA agent, but also passing along messages to the FBI.

 

Sera Masumi

Jodie and Camel both seem to recognize her, presumably because she resembles Akai (and they both resemble their mother?). However because they both got Masumi’s gender wrong on the first try, they might not have actually met her before. James Black however, both got her gender correct, but also tried to deny knowing her. This has led some to believe that James might be the person secretly funding Masumi as she is back in Japan.

 

The Faked Death of Akai Shuuichi

Both Jodie and Camel remained fooled until the end, when Akai literally appeared in the back of their car during Scarlet Arc. James however, happened to meet with Akai as he was leaving to go meet with Kir and noticed that Akai had glue on his hands and that something was amiss. He was able to keep this a secret from the rest of the FBI.

 

RUM

At this point, all Jodie and Camel know is that an agent called “Rum” is on the move and that he is even more important than Gin. It is very probable that Akai knows more than he told them.

Mistaken for American Randy Hawk, claimed to have come to Japan to get animal strap, was supposed to meet Akai at the animal show, has a British accent, claims to have been born at Baker Street but raised in Chicago, has a lion plush in his car, is capable of creating a code on a moments notice (325) Able to predict Conan’s groups actions to save him, meets with Akai explaining he was called to Japan by Akai (327) James visits Jodie in the hospital after the battle at the shipyard (435) Apparently James save a mans life a long time ago and now that man is the head of the hospital where Kir is being hidden (596) James becomes aware that Akai has a secret plan for when he goes to meet with Kir (607) James comes to the conclusion on his own that Bourbon’s target is Haibara due to her proximity to the FBI when Vermouth tried to kill her (677)

Yeah, I will have to flip the names and wikilink them and the episodes/chapters up and stuff. No worries there. The ?? notation can probably stay as is. A similar format was used in the Akai family timeline.

 

 

James is shaping up to be pretty competent. I wish he actually did some stuff. I feel like he is the FBI's Yuusaku, but with more secrets. There has got to be some backstory between him and Jodie's dead parents.

I went a head and flipped the names around on the user page. 

 

EDIT:

Potentially some of that Akai family timeline could eventually be added to this one,

because Akai knows would know it and James might know some of it, but it will get revealed to everyone at some point.

I really hope we do get a James back story at some point

also, I wonder if Gosho will elaborate on how James saved that guy who ended up being the owner of Haido Hospital

That just seemed so random and a really easy way to explain how the FBI got to use the hospital
