Well, this is another turning point in what passes for my existence here, namely the last one. From the time I was briefly active here (minus the previous years lurking, and the multiple years of hiatus in between, I have basically decided to hang it up. It's a bit of a polarized decision, given the fact that most of my activity was actually spent at the neighboring DCTP (which I'm most likely leaving as well) my having still made a few acquaintances here, given that my RL is even more miserable, it's actually just as frustrating staying. A number of factors have added up to this, and ultimately, it seems this is simply another chapter in my life I must bring to a close. I thank those here who were supportive and I thank those who I was able to engage in some interesting dialogues with. US

That's definitely the answer for that part. How did you find that out? If that's true, then the culprit and the explanation for the using too much condiments should be...

Exactly. The animation staff didn't know at that time, and probably still don't, how many years the series would continue. The editors didn't know either. Gosho didn't know either, he just kept writing the scenario of the series as he was drawing it. Sera wasn't planned in Gosho's mind, he had to add many cases in order to let her incorporate the main storyline. That's why he never answers the questions about Conan's length, may it be when he was asked in the first Super Digest Book, or in the last one. A few years ago, Gosho was saying that the manga will not exceed 100 volumes. Starting from 2013 or so, he started saying that it could exceed 100 volumes. So even if what Ikeda said in episode 500 was true at that time, it may have become false. So claiming that the series will end between volume 114 and 115 just because of that one non-canon line Shuuichi says at the end of one episode is a bit far-fetched. ^^"

Coincidentally, that would be the one that I manage The participation in the community, unfortunately (despite 415 members) is extremely lacking. It's that way with all of the DC communities on G+. That said, G+ has a lot of neat and non-limiting features that don't extend to many of the other popular social media sites. Hopefully someone will find it of use!

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, gonna have to stop you there. To preface, I don't really know you. I don't know if you've been lying about your age, or any of the things you said, or etc but regardless of whether or not your words hold any water, I can't not throw my two cents in on this. Assuming you aren't lying, don't do that. Speaking from firsthand experience it doesn't help, and the guilt and paranoia that accompany doing so aren't worth it. You also risk getting an unnecessary infection. Even if they're not visible, living with the scars isn't exactly fun either. Just don't do it. There's healthier coping methods out there like talking to someone, exercising, napping, writing things down, spontaneous showers, holding ice cubes, drawing on yourself, and etc etc. Assuming you're joking or not being serious or whatever, don't do that either. You don't know who will hear you. Though the term's been bastardized by tumblr, you could actually trigger someone by bringing such a thing up. You also might be heard by someone like myself or by someone who, rightfully so, takes things said like that seriously. Or if you meant that in the third way that just occurred to me, ignore what I just said and be more careful when holding sharp objects.
