Definitely for! Great idea plus we would be putting our calendar to good use! We could even add many more events if we want as long as it's related to the Anime and/or DC realm. For example, we could list the next concert dates of Garnet Crow or Mai Kuraki (even if it's only in Japan), or we could list releases of DVDs, Books, Music CDs, etc. Anything that's somehow directly or indirectly relevant would be welcome. So, I'm all for it!

They're blank because we haven't come about to adding content there yet. So, yes, definitely, feel free to provide plot summaries to the manga chapters. The chapters and case names are there to provide a basic structure upon which you can extend by filling in the blanks. Thanks for the help btw.

I was actually planning to start a thread lol. Well, thanks for the initiative CC! It's pretty cool. Basically, here's what I wanted to say: ------------------------------------------------------------- Detective Conan World has come a long way since its creation! It first started as a pretty basic website based on the famous blogging platform Wordpress. But it already had cool features like a very advanced and attractive Watch section, a wiki and a forum. The motive behind this all was that I was unable to find a lot of resource on the web dedicated to DC. And being the avid fan as I am (and also a Web Developer ), I thought we should really address that situation by ensuring that this great show that is Detective Conan had the honorable place it deserved on the net. A place people from all around the world could gather, have fun and eventually contribute into making the site the number 1 Detective Conan resource. Basically, the one-stop destination for everything DC-related. Anyway, like I was saying, we did come a long way since the grand opening in April 10th, 2009. Here is a list of the biggest events and great achievements we've accomplished (with the help of the community of course): I. The Site - On December 16th, 2009, the site went through its very first major overhaul with a complete redesign on both the front- and back-end. Not being powered by Wordpress anymore, it's now running on CodeIgniter, a fast and popular PHP framework which I have quite some experience working with. This really allowed greater flexibility in both code and design customization. And the result is what you can see right now: a clean, simple-looking, user-friendly and beautiful site! - We've had to take down the popular Watch section at some point for many reasons. Please, refer to the corresponding thread in the News section of the forum for more details. II. The Wiki - The first focus of the wiki (at the time pretty much empty) was to add information about the characters of the show. It went pretty well and is still ongoing. - We've created some awesome and unique templates that you probably never saw in any other wiki. Some examples: * http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Season_1 (Simple yet detailed table about the episodes of the season) * http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/An_Idol's_Locked_Room_Murder_Case (Cool scrolling Cast frame which makes it very reader-friendly. Also, we have cool Profile boxes on the right for many different pages and sections) * http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Setting (Probably the most unique page in the Wiki) * http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Ai_Haibara_Appearances (A custom extension was created for DCW to provide detailed statistics about character appearances. Great source (and organization) of information!) * And many more... - We currently have 823 articles which is just awesome for only 1 year of work! III. The Community - It started quite slow of course, just like for any new start-up. I remember the day our very first member joined: CarpetCrawler! It was quite overwhelming I'll admit as it was a confirmation that I was not the only one supporting the idea of building a great DC site! He's also been a great wiki contributor! To sum up, DCW was already shaping up to be a great community site, truthful to its goal! Then more people started to join and here we are. Thank you again everyone for your support and contributions however small or big they might be. It's a real pleasure to be part of this adventure with all of you! Happy Birthday DCW!

As most of you probably already know, FUNimation may be discontinuing Case Closed (the US franchise) after Season 5! It seems that they are not getting the results they were expecting and may be giving up for good on the series. See Napshot64's post for further details. For that reason, I've added a new section called "Shop". This will not only allow you to show your support to the series by buying books, dvds and more but will also be a great way to start building your very own personal DC collection of, well, anything or everything! The section is also very well categorized to make the experience as pleasant and easy as possible. And if you would like to see more categories (or items), feel free to let us know. As always, feedback is most welcome! Another interesting thing is that a very small commission will be given to DCW for each item that you buy. If you can't donate, this would be a great way to support the site and help pay the bills! And who knows, maybe on the long term, we'll be able to move the site to an actual dedicated server that would be much faster and provide more possibilities and features! More details on the Support page. Therefore, it's a win-win-win situation. Win for the producers and licensees, Win for DCW and Win for you! Let's show our support to the Case Closed franchise! It would be sad to lose the English version of the series. It's always great to have a variety of versions that only constitute an enrichment to the experience and make the series much more accessible to people from all around the world who have yet to discover the wonderful world of Detective Conan!
