What I do is update the watch section with new episode in the "future". What I mean is that even episodes that haven't been released yet get added (we have up to episode 543 right now - which I updated recently I'll admit). This way, as soon as they get released, then translated, then uploaded onto Youtube for example, anyone can start submitting links for them. This whole process can take up to 1-2 months. Hence why I try to update the list only once every month or 2 months. That was quite useful! I updated the "orange" links in the Watch section with it. I'll eventually update the wiki too. Thanks. Both forum and wiki now use the same login information. Therefore, if you want to log into the wiki, simply use your forum account information. If you don't have a wiki account, the "Register" link in the wiki will redirect you to the redirect link on the forum. Having one account for both should hopefully simplify things (you only need to register once to be able to fully contribute on both the forum and wiki).

First of all, a Big thank you to everyone who submitted episode links! Your efforts are greatly appreciated (and surely, the community will appreciate it even more )! Just a note to let you know that more services were added to our list of sources: Myspace.com and Mail.ru. What this means is that video links from those two sources will now display in the "Watch" section. Note that you can always submit links from never-heard-of sources as long as they have an embed link! So, do not hesitate to submit any video you see that could be added to our library. I can always very easily update our list of sources here so that they appear properly in the "Watch" section, just like I did today for Myspace and Mail.ru. I tried to add an avatar today and was surprised to see that the feature was disabled all this time. I really thought it was enabled by default with any fresh install of phpBB. o_O Anyway, I enabled it today and also allowed avatar uploading (not just off-site linking). So, enjoy! P.S: I put the size limit to 35kb. Let me know how that works for you (I don't want it to be too big to help with page loading but I can increase it if you want/need to and it's reasonable enough).

That's something I planned to do myself so that I could flag "not-yet-subbed" episodes on the website. There are a few sites that also had such a list but many of those sites are pretty old and I'm not sure how up-to-date they are anymore. :/ Anyway, I'd love to work in team if you're interested or maybe we could just start a thread to keep track of the list? We might get things done faster this way. But, it's up to you. No pressure or anything. ^^;

I've changed the design just a little bit with the main modification being a dynamic background color switcher system based on your local time. To put it simply, if it's the middle of the day wherever you are, the background will look blueish. If it's late in the afternoon, it'll look orangish (as if the sun was about to set). During the night, it would be dark blue. There are 11 different colors corresponding to different times of the day. I hope you guys like it. Let me know what you think about it on the forum! Here's some example of colors: 4am Dawn (4 am) 10am Day (10 am) 18pm Late afternoon (6 pm) 21pm Night (9 pm) P.S: If it's not the first time you've come to this site, make sure you refresh your browser to update the styles and Javascript scripts.

Or maybe Shinichi will appear to be dead (at least to everyone and even the audience) to only later make a huge unexpected and surprising comeback. That's definitely a path I could see Aoyama take. It's clear that so far, he's been great at surprising us with lots of little twists and unexpected events. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised to be surprised until the very end! Regarding the boss, there are so many theories indeed. Once again, knowing Aoyama, it'll most likely end up being someone we don't expect at all. Maybe we should keep track of a list of "potential" characters that could fit the role? (even in the craziest way lol)

I fixed episode 192. As for episode 195, each part was a link to episodes 200. So I removed it. Thanks for reporting this little issue and keep up the good work!

la vanille is right. Your English is great! And it's sooo cool to have someone from Japan here with us! I also want to visit Japan one of these days! I've watched so many animes that I sometimes feel like I know Japan as if I was born there. And thank you very much about what you said regarding the website! I'm really glad you feel at ease here! The Shinichi/Ran pair definitely makes sense and is probably supported by about 80% of the DC community lol. But a good amount of the fans still roots for Shinichi/Shiho even though they may feel deep down that in the end, Shinichi will still end up with Ran (due to the strong bonds they have always shared). I guess in the end, it's all a question of what Gosho Aoyama will come up with. I wonder if he's the kind to take an entire audience by surprise. Or if he'll simply make sure at least the majority of the fans is happy about the characters' fates. For the moment we can only speculate. And that's what fans are good at, isn't it? I myself would prefer a Shinichi/Ran pairing but, I also wouldn't mind a Shinichi/Shiho pairing (I wouldn't be that upset). It's also always fun to watch subtle signs of affection between Haibara and Conan throughout the episodes, lol (although they tend to be one-way).

Those are really good ideas. It'll most likely be implemented in the wiki. We already started laying out the list of episodes for the Anime. We haven't worked on the manga just yet: we're following a milestones system. And I didn't know about the magic files! That's definitely interesting! About the summaries/reviews, this could be on both the site and the wiki. I actually already have a list of summaries for each episode in the database (which I took from Wikipedia). But I haven't added them to the site yet because they weren't a priority at the time. But I'll eventually come about implementing them at some point. I always try to do things by order of priority. A review system would definitely be a big plus when we have a bigger community.

That's a simple game I got from another forum and thought it could be fun here too lol. Don't hesitate to be imaginative (even if what you say is far from the truth or surreal ) I'll start: You know you're addicted to Detective Conan when: - you skip classes to watch episodes on the internet! - you start (or try to) create your own gadgets - you imitate somebody's voice to get whatever it is you want - you check out Conan's horoscope on a daily-basis to determine whether he'll end up with Haibara, Ayumi or Ran - you start challenging everything people say

Any word on when it'll be released? Does anyone have more information about it? Has anyone played the Japanese version by any chance? I hope it's as good as I expect it to be.

Do you prefer the manga or the anime? Are there any substantial differences between the two? Or are they more or less equivalent?

That's an interesting view indeed. Even though this may be considered bad luck, I guess we, the audience, are the lucky ones since we get to watch an awesome story out of it.
