Well, I think his deduction skill is "being improved" recently. Of course his speculations are still wrong most of the times, at least he doesn't come up with "wild theories" anymore (which he did a lot in the earlier volumes for comedic purpose)

I've just listened to the song "Nanatsu no ko" (again) and read the lyrics for many times, but still no more clue about Anokata, except for the crow symbolism thingi and the Tottori part There have been many speculations about this song but none of them make sense to me If "Seven Children" means 7 executive members, then only 3 of them that we have known so far (but 1 of them is dead): Gin, Vermouth and Pisco (Conan Drill). Still not a clue about Sherry and Tequila. Nothing is known if Bourbon is an executive member or not. But even if we count them, then there are only 6, not to mention that Tequila & Vodka are probably the same ranked. And I personally don't think that Anokata would count him/herself as the 7th one... Furthermore, it would be kinda awkward if they call Pisco a "child" (since he's really old), plus Vermouth is like 50+ herself (if not 70+ or 100+), unless Anokata is extremely old...

Well, if Okiya = Akai then he'll have to keep that identity for the rest of the series (at least until Kir's cover is blown up). So bye Akai...

This.

Oh so that is MacGuffin... Yeah, I don't like it either. Thanks for explaining

I don't know if this is a mistake or not, but is Vodka considered a high-ranking BO member ? He's even in the same section with Anokata in the "Black Organization bar" at the bottom of the page when you're reading an article related to BO (see picture below); while in everywhere else of the Wiki, Vodka is not considered as high-ranking at all, at least not as high as Gin & Vermouth (the "BO" article for example).

OK Don't call me stupid but what is a "MacGuffin" ?

More random questions : 1. Why is Gin the only one to have a scar on his face (under his eye) after being shot by Akai ? Many characters have been shot or got injured on the face through out the series (Sherry was shot by Gin, Conan's face was injured a few times, Vermouth was shot by Akai, Ayumi got boiling curry on her whole body...) but why only Gin has the scar ? Don't tell me that it is some kind of "mark" which Gosho purposely drew on his face to indicate their serious hatred/rivalry ? 2. Has it ever been explained in canon that Conan and Ai's terrible immune-systems (the fact that they got ill a lot) has something to do with APTX-4869 ? 3. In File 597 - Vol 57 (don't remember the exact episode), how could that Nakamichi guy (the one who hid Eisuke) didn't recognize Jodie ? He's from Ran's school too, right ?

I think Chinese is easier, and Japanese and Korean are the same as hard. But it depends on what language that you learn first...

Whatever caused her youth, I'm 1000% sure it's NOT plastic surgery. Plastic surgeries are very common in Detective Conan. So if Vermouth had had plastic surgery to become younger, it would have been really normal, and Gosho didn't even have to hide the truth (not that it would actually spoil anything). But no, Gosho DID hide it. Which means that the cause of her youth has nothing to do with surgeries (unless of course surgery was also a part of a project). Not to mention that her incredible strength and stamina cannot be of a 50+ years old woman, no matter how hard she had trained herself. Despite being a woman, her strength can even be compared with Gin's (if I'm not mistaken, sometimes Vermouth is even stronger than Gin). Her eye-sight is also very good, that she could aim correctly just by glancing at a mirror, while driving a car... So Vermouth's young on both the inside and the outside. No surgery can do that...

In DC, as long as you don't cross the immortality/raising-the-dead limit, everything is possible If Conan & Ai cannot grow older again, they are immortal. Though it's too early to say anything... I personally don't think that the boss is already immortal, because the APTX project would be useless, unless he/she is an old man/woman who also wants eternal youth.

What I meant is that when situation changes, even BO members can be better/turn good/betray evilness... (the suitable words depend on people's different points of view), despite their cold hearts & the fact that all of their deeds are not acceptable. Which indicates that the BO is not always pure evil (though sometimes Ai's behaviors are confusing like you said, which led some fans to believe that she's still loyal with the BO). By the way, the original purpose of APTX-4869 is still unknown (it might be something that Shiho thought was "good", like immortality..., that's why she still continued her parents' research despite the uncomfortable atmosphere inside the Org). Just because it was never finished that Gin used it to kill (the poisoning-effect was actually the side-effect). And Shiho did get enraged when Gin used it to kill without her permission. When the Org. sent her to investigate Shinichi's death, she didn't report the fact that he might be alive. Which means that the killing effect and the Org's actions were against her will...

What happened ?

Actually, even the Black Organization is not "pure evil" at all. Though maybe they are less than 1%, there are still goodness you can find inside the Org, from the bottom to the top. Like Akemi for example, she robbed and killed, but she never did it for money, she did it to rescue her sister and hoped to be Akai's girlfriend. As for Sherry, she worked for the Org. and was highly ranked, but she's more good than evil. And Vermouth, an executive member, not only that she has never given Shinichi & Sherry up to the Org., but also tried to protect Ran & Kogoro from them. But hey, that's all we need from a person who smiles when she kills... Like you see, even the BO is not filled with evilness... What's truly evil is this rotting world and the human's infinite greed.

Anokata is probably male, though it would be a shocking twist if that person's a woman XD And I LOVE twists By the way, has anyone ever thought that Anokata might be something... inhuman ???
-
I really dislike this OVA. How could they even come up with those stuffs ? And Grace Aihara ????
-
Yeah, Ayumi is normal, though I personally that think she will end up more like Ran. (I still have no comment about Genta... ) Anyway, It would be really interesting if Gosho made a case in which Mitsuhiko saves Ai from the BO Probably near the end of DC... Detective Boys vs BO... Wild thought... XD XD XD Well, to be honest, if they come up with an EXTREMELY-PERFECT-AND-MOST-INTELLIGENT-STRATEGY-EVER-HAVE, they can still eliminate Vodka

I don't know how this couple would work out but if Haibara choose to stay as a child in the end, then it will surely be MitsuAi. And if Mitsuhiko has a lot more experience, he may end up be nearly as intelligent as Shinichi in the future (I have no comment about Ayumi and Genta XD ).

I've just come up with a wild theory. Akemi might be Atsushi's daughter with Vermouth (?), and Shiho is Elena's daughter with Anokata (if the boss' male of course). I think that this theory explains a lot... First, it explains why The Boss never ordered anyone to hunt down Haibara and kill her, despite the fact that she can spoil lots of information to the FBI/CIA/everyone (Please note that Bourbon's Sherry-hunting mission has not yet to be surely confirmed, as it's highly hinted that his target was Akai instead). In the Haido Hotel case (Vol 24), Gin noticed that Sherry has a "personal guardian". He didn't know about Conan back then, so he probably thought that Sherry has some kind of connection with the FBI/CIA/police/whatever... Gin's suspicion has been confirmed in the Ding Dong Dash case (Vol 48-49), that Sherry DOES have something to do with the FBI. Though it seemed like Kogoro was just a bait set up for them, the bug he found under Kir's shoe clearly "belongs to Sherry" (which means that Sherry has been helping the FBI). It is likely that Gin has reported this detail to Anokata... Secondly, it explains Akemi and Shiho's different fates within the Org. If my theory is correct, then there might be a love-triangle (Anokata-Vermouth-Atsushi) LOL In other words, Anokata hates Atsushi, therefore hates his daughter (Akemi). Meanwhile, Anokata made sure that his own daughter (Shiho) is trained to be an excellent scientist, and has high ranking (unlike Akemi). Anokata probably got rid of Atsushi and spread the rumor that it was an accident (though I cannot explain why Elena died). Akemi, on the other hand, is much harder to kill, since she is his favorite woman's daughter, and if he had killed her with no reason, Sherry would have been pissed-off and gave up the project. Anokata could not come up with a suitable motive to get rid of her, until one event... Yes, Akai's betrayal. And finally, if you've read all the above, you'll understand many of Vermouth's mysterious actions. Because of her daughter's death (current timeline) or mental pain (in the past), she held a serious grudge against Akai & Shiho (while she didn't even do anything to her). If I'm not mistaken, in the NY case, Vermouth was trying to lure out Akai (and kill him) on her own agenda, not the boss' order. Have you ever wondered why she was always waiting for a "silver bullet" to come, while Akai was still alive ? Comparing to Conan (who is only good in deductions), Akai also has skills and experiences, and he knows the Org. very well. It doesn't make sense when Vermouth waited for a "silver bullet", while still wanted to kill him at the same time (and it's before she met Shinichi). The reason behind it might be personal grudge... As for Shiho, the reason why Vermouth wanted to kill her so bad (that she flied all the ways from the US to Japan just to do this), was probably because she and her daughter were treated so unfairly (and maybe also because of her APTX-project). While Akemi earned nothing within the Org., Shiho had everything (educations, a whole lab, high-ranking...). While Akemi ended up dead trying to save her, Shiho's life is getting better and better (with Conan, Agasa, DB...). And please notice that in Western countries, people usually call their child something like "my sweet angel", "my small angel"... Ran resembles Akemi + Vermouth named Ran "Angel", does that ring any bell ? Problems about this theory: - There is still no evidence about Anokata's gender, except for his/her interest in Vermouth, which may point out that the boss is male. - It does not explain Elena's death. - It does not explain Vermouth's unnatural youth and why she called the Miyano's project "foolish". - If Bourbon's mission is really Sherry-hunting, then this theory doesn't stand well.

Who's better off with Shinichi? Haibara Ai or Ran??
Black Demon replied to Chianti's topic in General
I never actually cared about pairings which involves Shinichi. But I voted anyway... -
What do you mean ?

Movie 13 sucks in my opinion. Too many characters, and the storyline is not that good for a BO movie.
