KILL the Person Above You [Forum Game]
Black Demon replied to tengaku squared's topic in Forum games
You watched too much anime and get paranoid, you think you are Kaitou Kid and "fly off" a building during a night of the full moon... Manga -
Because it'll be a ridiculous twist if she's the boss

Okay this may not have anything to do with the topic, but I have a speculation that I want to share. It's about the BO woman, who is likely to be Vermouth, that Itakura talked to over the phone. But since this is just pure speculation, I don't have any proof for what I'm about to say... The noise that Itakura heard in the background might NOT be of a cat. At first, I've been wondering why did Gosho even add that detail to the story. It's not related to the plot, and doesn't bring us any hint. But when I re-read volume 39, there is one thing that concerns me. If the translation was correct, then Agasa mentioned the last part of Itakura's diary like this: "Cat's cry in the background became louder as she finished saying so [We can be both God and the Devil...]. Then she hang up the phone in a hurry..." It sounds as if the "cat" was reacting angrily/desperately to her words about "raising the dead". How should a cat understand it ? Or was it really a cat after all ? The woman's reaction (hang up the phone quickly) was also suspicious, as if she was confused by the situation (didn't know what to do); or that she was afraid that if she continued to talk for a few more seconds, Itakura might figure out something (that nobody was supposed to know). It is not Gosho's style to include some stupid information like "cat allergy" or "cat hating" to the plot. Now, I'd like to tell you a story about my old neighbor, who is still living near my old house after we moved away. That family has a young baby and a cat. They both used to cry at night-time (which was annoying like hell). But what made them so special is that their crying voice sound extremely similar. Many people in the neighborhood usually got mistaken. But if you listen carefully, you can still tell if that's the cat or the baby crying. In general, sometimes a baby's crying and a cat's voice DO sound similar (I said "sometimes", not always), and can be mistaken when being listened not directly (this case was over the phone). Back to the topic, I cannot conclude that the background noise was a baby's cry or something like that, because it'll add even more mysteries. But if it really was the case, then that woman (Vermouth?) might had given birth to something, which has human's intelligence. Another possibility: A person shrunken into a child doesn't lose any memory, but it isn't clear if that also works for someone who got turned into a baby ? Imagine what would happen if that "cat" was really someone after swallowing APTX4869, held hostage by the woman, a baby with the brain of an adult ? Anokata ? (Again, this is pure speculation, and I never hope that it would happen because those ideas freak me out...) Another thing that we need to pay attention. According to the timeline of DC, this phone-call happened 1 year ago (which I have confirmed after re-reading vol 37). Does that ring any bell ? Yes, it's approximately the same time when Sharon Vineyard "died". I don't know if there was any connection between the 2 events. See DC's timeline below: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Timeline

Obviously yes, he just didn't confess his feeling for her...
-
I don't know if this has been brought up somewhere else but there is another mystery that need to be solved. If Vermouth is Sharon Vineyard, then does her daughter (the person who's supposed to be Chris Vineyard) exist ? We are still not sure if "Chris" is just one of her many aliases, or that Vermouth really had a daughter ?

I surely hope that Sera girl is not like a second Eisuke. He wasted all of my time during the Kir arc. Though Sera is less annoying... By now I'm still not sure if Sera is Akai's sister or this whole thing is just some kind of scheme by Bourbon (but it seems unlikely).

I would probably kill myself if the boss turned out to be one of the following characters: - Yoko Okino - One of the Detective Boys after having APTX4869: How can someone even come up with this stuff ? - Kobayashi-sensei - Ran (LOL) - Kogoro: I'm not really a fan of the "Mouri-arty" theory... - Eri Kisaki - Yukiko - Sonoko/Kazuha - KID - Yamamura/his grandmother - Azusa - Akai  - Haibara  - Jodie  - James Black  - "Anokata" doesn't exist

LOL Every culprit in DC is unlucky becuz there's always Conan involved ^ I like this one ^ The unluckiest in my opinion. (That gotta hurt.)   ^ LOL unlucky indeed. Their plan was ruined dramatically Not only that they picked the wrong bus (with Conan, Detective boys, FBI, Black Organization), but also the wrong replacements (one was Akai Shuichi and one was Vermouth).  I would also like to list some culprits whom I think were very unlucky too. 1. Akemi: She went through everything to save her sister and herself, just to be killed in the end by Gin 2. Pisco: Stupid enough to get caught on camera LOL Killed dramatically by Gin before he could spill anything about Sherry LOL 3. The robbers from the bank-robbery case: Next time, do not choose a bank with Conan, Jodie and Scar Akai. They were also stupid for not updating the new law LOL 4. The woman from the fake-money case in vol 18: Haibara knows how to use a gun

What do you think is the best ending to DC?
Black Demon replied to ndlwry1412's topic in Anime series
Don't call me weird but I never like happy endings Again, don't call me weird when I say: I REALLY like seeing my favorite character(s) die or suffer, painfully and tragically (in every manga/anime). -
Huh... !?

I like many episodes but my most favorite case is episode 136-137: The Old Blue Castle Investigation Case.

I think we should add The secret of the song "Nanatsu no ko" to the "Items and things" section. Did the boss just choose it randomly, or is there any hidden meaning behind the song ? Is it a coincidence or not that the song talks about crows, which the BO members seem to resemble ? Does that song have any connection with the plot other than leading towards some place in Tottori ?

I don't know the words to describe it. In many science-fictional novels, there are maniacs who are trying to erase the current humanity and replace it with a new perfect one; or trying to brainwash the whole world.

I rarely watch the anime, and none of the episodes that I watched made me cry (maybe because I'm a boy ?). I only feel sad for the characters (such tragic/misunderstandings can happen in real life), some episodes are also touching too. However, I don't really remember the exact episodes . 1. The Karaoke Box case: I felt really bad for the culprit who killed her lover just because of one misunderstanding. 2. The case in which the culprit used his dog for the murder (the dog's name is John, right ?) 3. Akemi's death (though I think that the manga version is more touching) and all stories about her love towards Akai. 4. The spider-demon case (with Heiji and Kazuha): The girl committed suicide because of one misunderstanding and her foreign lover committed crime because of other misunderstandings. 5. Episode 345: The "Move it Angel" scene (just touching). 6. The Valentine-chocolate case (with Sonoko & Makoto): I felt really sad when Conan witnessed Ran crying because of him. 7. I felt sad for Haibara when she broke down crying and asked why Conan didn't save her sister. 8. Nearly forgot the Matsuda case. I think that's all I can remember for now.
