Because she doesn't age...? She definitely disguises herself as Sharon (who looks older than her but it doesn't mean that Sharon is older than Vermouth's true age). The question is why does she also disguise as Chris if she ages normally?

Vermouth's real age cannot be 37. She created her daughter Chris Vineyard whose age is supposed to be 29 in the present timeline, which means that Sharon "gave birth" to Chris at the age of 8, which is a glaring inconsistency, and I don't think Vermouth would make such a mistake. Therefore, Vermouth must have "set" Sharon's age to about 45 or above, be it her real age or not (because she may even be much older). But she does not look like a 45-year-old woman now at all, which means that there's definitely something going on with her aging. She is not in disguise or make up either because she has been shot by Akai in her face, and we're seen a non-make up version of her while bathing. Assume that she really is 35~40 now like you say, which means that she must have been disguising as an older version of herself to become Sharon, while at the same time disguising as a younger version of herself to become Chris. Why must she do that if she ages normally? Why even bother creating a fake daughter?

.... I don't think this will help making subtitles come faster. Many subbers are students and/or workers who are very busy with their real lives. They know many of us fans are looking forward to their works, but they can't treat DC with a higher priority, therefore all we can do is to wait patiently. Also, dedicated subbers usually have to spend more time making sure that their "products" are released with the highest quality possible, and not just randomly put some texts on the video (which anyone who understands Japanese can do).

The hotel looks significantly different from the one shown in Ayumi's kidnapping case and Conan's kidnapping case. She might have switched hotel at some point before the Romance novelist case, or that it wasn't actually her living place at all. Either way, it's not the same hotel. I don't know where you found that part, but in Masumi's page, it says: "On the way home from school, Ran and Sonoko decide to visit Masumi's hotel (which is different from the other one she has been staying at earlier)." It doesn't say that it must be different from the one she's staying at now.

It's said in the last page side-note: Remember that it never said this character will appear fully in person, so it's best not to have high expectation, and prepare for a flashback, dream or something similar

Hello Modern Holmes! Thank you for your ideas and suggestions. Unfortunately as a moderator I don't really have enough authority to decide most of these matters (both theoretically and technically), because Maurice is the only one who can add/remove/rename a forum or sub-forum. Therefore you'll have to convince him. About the calendar, I personally don't think it's a bad idea. The only problem is while practically it's not difficult, since release/air dates can be easily retrieved from the Wiki or other sites, but like you say it would require more work and I'm not sure if there's anyone who'll be willing to do that. On the bright side, we can only confirm the episodes of the following month and maybe the volumes of the following year, so it's not much of a burden either. I want to hear other moderators and members' opinions first. On a side note, if you don't want to see the members' birthdays, you can click the tiny "x" to make them disappear (you have to move your mouse pointer to the "Today's birthdays" area to make the "x" show up).

Is separating threads still necessary? Okay so I noticed that a large number of those non-spoiler threads don't have much discussions in them, some of them don't even have any reply. The only times when they were at least active were when plot-centered cases were around. But other than that, people don't seem to participate much in non-spoiler discussions of "filler cases". The "replies" there are mostly announcements for a release or minor comments in order not to make these threads seem "abandoned". In my experience, many people just choose to wait for the English file without actually joining a discussion; while some others are willing to expose themselves to spoilers (partially or entirely), thus post their comments in the spoiler threads instead. Therefore, I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on whether we should still separate discussion threads into spoiler and non-spoiler categories for each case or not. If we still do, then I personally recommend that if anyone has a theory/speculation/opinion that is not "spoilery" in any way, you should consider posting it in the non-spoiler thread to balance out the differences. Another option is to only separate threads when we have a plot-centered or long case which we can predict that more people would participate in non-spoiler discussion.

Did you try the "DUB/SUB" button on the player? And like I said not every episode has been subbed. (I can't check for you now because the videos are unavailable in my region, and I'm too lazy to use proxy). If you can't find what you want there then I don't know of any other licensed website where they're available. Since I personally don't watch Case Closed I don't have much knowledge about it, so you're gonna have to ask someone else. We also don't provide links to sites that illegally host Detective Conan/Case Closed here (be it dub or sub), especially Funimation's official version. Not that I know of any either, since not so many people watch Fun's translation. Therefore I'm afraid that you'll have to be on your own with that.
