There is something that I find fishy about this case: Why is the culprit shown in "Black shadow" form ? Normally, the purpose of doing that is to hide the identity of the real culprit from the readers. However, in this case, we don't have more than one suspect (the two bags in the hut likely belong to the killer and the victim, so for now we can assume that). So the question is: Why not showing the image of the culprit directly to the readers ? What's the point of hiding it anyway ? Also, does anyone think that snake might be related to this case (I personally think Gosho wouldn't draw that warning sign for nothing) ? Like perhaps the culprit poisoned the girl with a snake before chopping her ? Or maybe the culprit purposely put that sign there to prevent people from getting near to that area (where he's obviously burying a body), I find the latter more likely, because I don't think that the culprit is bold enough to risk entering a place that really has snakes.

As for the promise/deal between Bourbon and Vermouth, I still doubt that she would recklessly mention Conan or Ran to a third person, let alone protecting/not harming them (although this theory seems to be the most likely at the moment). Unless Bourbon is also the "disloyal" type like Vermouth, this is pretty dangerous for her (and also for Conan/Ran), because it will lead into unwanted suspicions of her connections with them (especially Conan). Until we can confirm that Vermouth has a good reason to believe that Bourbon would be loyal to her no matter what (probably like Calvados, but even Calvados disobeyed her order for continuously shooting at Ran), I'm still iffy about this. Also I think that Vermouth doesn't fully trust Bourbon, otherwise she wouldn't have had to track them down and called him/her just to make sure that he/she would keep the promise. I personally think that Vermouth asked Bourbon, using his/her ability, to help her doing something to her own advantage in the future (not now). It doesn't have to belong to the Bourbon arc. Perhaps this is one of the "eternal unresolved plots" (like Elena's tape, Akemi's PS...) that Gosho will not reveal to us any time soon. For now I'll just vote "Something not listed", when we have more clues maybe I'll re-vote. Crack theories: Anyway, another question is what exactly, for Bourbon to keep the promise, did Vermouth give him/her in return ? Was it just simply the help in disguise, probably some information about Kogoro... or was there anything else to it ?

No, there isn't any evidence so far. There also isn't anything to be based on to point out the identity of The Boss. Everything you heard was just speculations and guesses. I hope that helps

Okay so how will we do this next case ? Spoiler-free thread will of course only be created after the English file is released and will be stated *SPOILER FREE* or *NON-SPOILER* clearly on the tittle. But are members allowed to post spoilers there inside spoiler boxes ? (In DCTP, that it not allowed). Spoiler thread can be made sooner, but does it have any other requirements; like tittle must have *SPOILER*/*Spoiler only*/*Spoiler discussion*... etc or not, and are spoiler boxes allowed not to be used there ? (In DCTP, we still have to use spoiler boxes even in spoiler only thread). And who will create those threads ? Only mods make those or anyone can do that if they're convenient at the time (then the mods only have to pin it, like usual) ? Of course whoever create the two threads has to state the rules clearly on the first post of each one (just like in DCTP).

Actually if you want to add anything you can just do it. This is not about copyright violation or something Besides, since I'm not really familiar with Trad. Chinese, and I jumped directly to those dialogues without reading the others, some parts may not make sense...

I'm still wondering whether that trace on the glass is really lipstick or something else, since it was wiped with thumb, I doubt that Sera can see it clearly. So it's possible that while it may seem to be lipstick (and since it's on a cup, people would naturally think that it's lipstick), it could very well have been some other stuff, though I cannot tell exactly what it is.

I'm also a spoiler reader, but I'm not against the idea of dividing into spoiler and non-spoiler groups, if you think it's necessary. However, it's better to create a whole sub-forum like Artistic Poet said, as the number of cases will increase dramatically in the future, it may be a little inconvenient when spoiler threads and non-spoiler threads of different cases get blended together.

OK I have undone what I edited. Sorry for not paying attention.

Most of the files and episodes listed are DB cases. I don't know about the anime, but in the manga, most of DB cases don't have Ran in it (the same with Kogoro). Meanwhile obvious cases that they WERE in (like File 1 and Episode 1) are seriously missing. Anyway, I'm editing it from the beginning, but since I don't watch the anime, I guess I can only work on the Manga section.

Despite being Ran Mouri Appearances, information (most if not all of them) in the Manga and Anime sections actually belong to... The Detective Boys: http://www.detective...uri_Appearances I realize it would be very exhausting to edit this manually from the beginning of the series (considering how many chapters and episodes that Ran was in), but I don't know any faster method. Please help ! P/S: I know this may not be new but nothing has been changed actually. Even if we have to do this one-by-one I will still be willing to spend time on fixing this, but I need help from other members as well.
