Dolcetto grabbed her by the collar and was just about to punch her, but Ai stopped him midway. "Let's not get into any fights, we need to stay together if we want to make it out alive." she said. As Dolcetto opened the door, they exited into a hallway lit up by fluorescent lights. To their left, they heard a whisper of "Ai, Rose? You guys in there?" and a moment later loud knocks along with "Hey! Rose, Ai! Answer me if you're there!" Heading off in that direction, they realized how big the building they were in was. It was like a maze, and they weren't able to track the source of the sound in time. They decided to continue while leaving tracks of themselves with some ducktape hidden inside Ai's left wedges.

[@Rose: pfft AG4E just edited her post, so i'm gonna adjust your part of the story a bit] "He's dangerous, that's what I know. He isn't fooling around." Answered Dolcetto. "We ain't fooling around either" replied Ai. "That's all? Nothing useful?" asked Rose. "Well...I barely escaped him two years ago. Amsel's a mastermind who loves games, often using humans as pawns. I was the only one that survived in my gang, and I did that by killing everyone else..." You're kidding me, Ai wanted to say. "I told you what I know." he answered. "Then, what do you know about Project 34 and the files we found?" asked Rose. "Well, Project 34 is something the science department is working on. I think they're testing some drug for the Boss on kids. Other than that, I don't really know. As for your files, I haven't seen them yet." Dolcetto replied. Ai cut Dolcetto's ropes and handed the file folder over. "I have no idea who this is, but they certainly did some thorough stalking," he chuckled. "Lei?" Ai asked, handing the folder over. "Hmm, I feel like I've seen this girl before somewhere, though I can't remember exactly where." "You always have the most helpful information ever, Lei." Lei looked away, annoyed. Then the woman who fainted before woke. She sat up and looked around her. Then her eyes landed on the file on Enola Grey. It was clear that she was shocked, and she started yelling--that is, as loud as you can with a gag in your mouth. Ai went over and took out her gag and cut her ropes. She fought for breath for a few seconds, then gained control of herself and started talking. "Where did you get that file?!" the woman asked. "From that drawer in the wall. Why? do you know who it is?" "It--it's my daughter..." And the woman broke into a sob. Of course! Why hadn't I thought of this before? The same platinum blonde hair, the same bluish-grey eyes...Ai thought. But even if it's the girl's mom, Ai wasn't going to be soft on her. Every dreadful detail was to be obtained. [No idea what else to write so somebody continue xD]

"Look, we're in this together now, so we're going to tell you all we know about this." He answered. Ai walked over to him, knelt down and lifted his chin with her newly-obtained gun. "What do you know?" "Well whoever kidnapped us definitely isn't part of our mafia." "Oh that was so helpful." Ai replied sarcastically. "But I think it's the new mafia that Boss mentioned. I heard they have branches all over the world. The boss is someone named Kaiser Amsel." "German, I see, anything else?" "That's all I know, but perhaps Dolcetto knows more since he's on a higher rank than me." Useless, absolutely useless. "What's your name?" "Lei" "What a stupid name." "Tch," he rolled his eyes. Ai cut his ropes and tossed him a gun. "Don't try anything with that. Gods know I'd kill you before I even falter." She showed him the other gun she had in her pocket. Ai went over to the second kidnapper--Dolcetto--and kicked him, Lei looked like he was about to faint from fear. Dolcetto woke up to Ai pointing her gun straight at his head. Shocked, he mumbled a few incomprehensible words behind his gag. Ai took his gag out, "So, what do you know about this Kaiser Amsel person?" ----------------------------- [@Rose: continue this xD]

It was a file on a 17-year-old girl named Enola Grey. She had flowing platinum blonde hair and always wore an elaborate headband. As Ai flipped through the papers, there started appearing pictures of what seemed like a diary. "July 13 I was at the park today with Kylie, and we went into the little cabin that we keep our detective records in. However, all our carefully organized files were scattered on the floor, and one of the pages in Toyama Kosuke's [that 7-year-old dead boy] file was missing. Kylie thinks it might have just been the winds last night, but I doubt it. I think someone broke into there just for that page. Speaking of which, what was on it again? When we came out of the cabin, there was a rustle in the bushes near it. Is someone following us? I didn't want to worry Kylie, but I went back into the cabin to grab a pocketknife just in case it was someone dangerous. Then I made sure to lock the door as well as stick a mechanical pencil lead into the door hinge so that if anyone entered the lead would break and I would know." The next few days passed with little happening, but on the 18th, something suspicious happened again. "July 18 Today while we were inside the cabin, the window behind us shattered with a baseball flying through. Kylie thought it was just some kids', so we waited a while for someone to come retrieve it. However, no one came after more than 20 minutes, and we decided to lock up and go home. I picked up the baseball, and something seemed...off about it. Was it a little heavier? I thought it was just my imagination, but couldn't sleep at night thinking about it. So I got up and took some pictures of the baseball, then cut it open with a pair of shears. Out of it fell a small metallic egg-shaped object, and there was a combination lock on it. After working on it for half the night, trying every possible combination, I finally got it right at 8-5-2. Pulling the egg open, a small karakuri turned around and stuck it's tongue out. On it were in tiny scribbled letters: 'I see you'. I shuddered, and tried going back to sleep, only to wake up to several nightmares." Then on the 25th: "July 25 Kylie hasn't been to school for 2 days, I'm having a bad feeling. I called her cell but she didn't pick up. If she doesn't come tomorrow I'll pay a visit to her house." "July 26 Kylie has been missing! Her picture was on the news this morning and her parents say that she hasn't returned home since Monday. They thought that she was staying over at some friends house but got worried on the 2nd day. They called the school but the teacher told them she's been absent for the past 2 days. I went to her house after school and saw a man in black clothes lurking around. However when I approached him he took a look at me and walked away." "July 27 With permission from her parents, I inspected Kylie's room. Everything was in place as always. The total opposite of my room. I walked around the room, opening drawers and looking under the bed. When I reached the dressing table, I saw a note. In the same handwriting as the letters on the karakuri's tongue, it read: 'Come find your friend at the cabin tomorrow at 6:45 PM.' Something was definitely up. I should've told the police, but I decided to keep this to myself. Perhaps this will be the first real mystery that I solve." "July 28 At the park, about to enter the cabin. I'm a bit nervous, but I have my collection of knives and ropes on me in case someone attacks." Then the next picture was of the door of the cabin, with words scratched into it by bloody fingernails. "Run, they're comi---" and it ended, with a bullet hole as if marking an end to the unfinished sentence, and Enola's life.

[@Rose: I actually have no idea what we're reading xD but i planned it to be like a stalking file/biography on some important person in the plot, thou i haven't decided the person yet. perhaps the masked man? lol]

Ai went back to working on the lock on the wall. After almost half an hour, it finally clicked. Ai broke the hairpin apart and wedged the sharp part under a small slit in the wall. With a bit of effort, she managed to pop what seemed like a drawer out of the wall. In it were a few guns--already loaded, some bullets, a file folder with what seemed like information gathered by a VERY dedicated stalker, and a key. Ai took out the key and tried it in the lock that she spent so much time picking, and it fit perfectly. She chuckled. Taking the file folder, she chose a cozy corner in the room (not that there were any, she just picked the one that seemed coziest), sat down, and began reading.

Ai stopped working at the lock at the noise rustling clothes. She turned around, it was the loud girl from before. Her hair began coming undone in the back due to the hairpin Ai pulled out. Ai walked towards her and pulled her gag out. "Yo, morning, or whatever time of day it is. By the way, got a watch on you?"
