I figure Kurei did it now because you said she and she's the only left handed she besides Yamada who dies with the same MO.

So, Hitomi was dating Kanda, Yamada did date Kanda.. with Hitomi away maybe he'd be with Yamada again, but Kurei wanted him, that's why she verified his alibi too.

wait... so if they snuck up on the victim from behind, and swung with their left hitting her on her left side. Would that be how it is?

That would make sense if they were in front. But the time it would take to swing and give enough force the victim would be able to react, especially in the second case when they would know it was a physical blow like that.

So since there was no struggle means they would come from behind. coming from behind you'd swing with your right.

The reason I wanted to be sure is to determine whether the person was left or right handed.

Now I know they're right handed.

Partial clues with these stories though are you always give relevant information. So when you say people are left or right, obviously that is important in narrowing it down.

2) You said she was hit on the right side. Is that her right, or autopsy right. In autopsy they use right as being looking at the front of the body. So her left hand would be on the right side.
