  1. It's just you an' me, Bing...

  2. As Ash was nearing the open street she heard a loud commotion from the cafe she'd just left. Dammit, Vi's in there! Adjusting her bandages and pulling her cap down over her dark green hair she dd a quick about face and took off back toward the restaurant. As she rounded a corner she spotted the three girls leaving, with some shouting idiots in close pursuit. The hell?! Upon closer inspection she realized the loud idiots were loud armed forces idiots. For a moment she debated on whether to reveal herself to the girls. Sure, it would delay her in reaching the army base, but maybe she could drag info out of one of the guys. If she could scare 'em off without letting them know Vi was a rebel, maybe there wouldn't be any later trouble. Stepping from the shadows with her hands in her pockets, she bit her toothpick in half, giving her signature whistle. "Well, looks like some o' the forceless're misbehavin'. Wouldn't yer precious Greyfield love ta hear about it?" She smiled crookedly, nodding to the three girls. "I dunno what ya think yer doin', but I'm pretty sure yer botherin' my friends." Her gloves and eyes began to glow as Reaper's Touch started charging. "An' I wouldn't do that, 'cause in case ya hadn't noticed, I'm the little sh** that pounded the crap outta Petya yesterday..." Darkness overshadowed her as she gave the men her iciest stare. "Unless ya step away from 'em an' drop yer little toys, ya might 'ave ta tell the gen'ral 'bout why some chick sent ya back in full body casts..."
  3. Finally got to make an amv with video~ <3 Took forever, but it's so fun. ^^

  4. Ash leaned against the wall outside of a cafe, chewing a toothpick, watching the sky and thinking. She'd been doing that a lot while she was asleep... thinking, there in the darkness of subconsciousness. Just letting herself look over the pat events. She'd followed Sakila, Misaki and Vivi from HQ, intending to ask about the inhibitor... She still couldn't figure out why it hadn't affected her. Was there a limit to how much power it could take in? If so, was there a way to stop it up with an intentional burst of psychic energy? She wanted to talk to Vivi about it but there were two other girls with her, plus the cafe's staff... Ash couldn't be around people she didn't know... What if her dad found out she was still alive? Anybody she had contact with could be in danger... And yet I stay in the rebellion... That was the only way, wasn't it? Ta become Sparrow, erase my family lines, an' never become close ta anyone... Cursing under her breath, the girl closed her eyes, whistling to herself. She nearly went inside when her stomach growled, but she simply scooted further along the wall, away from the smell of the food inside. I'll never let this war happen, T... This machine'll be taken apart, examined, an' put out of existence, and I'll see those missiles destroyed. The armed forceless 'ave lost their legitimacy in power. Causing fear, pain an' hatred amongst the people of Nubinelle'll not bring back the honor they once 'ad. An' a war... the people'd never remain intact, no matter which side prevailed in the end. The action we must take is not militant, but compassionate. We 'ave ta be the ones ta protect the people. If it's necessary ta fight, I will, but I will never subject the people to the dangers we would bring about in full on warfare... She pushed away from the wall, walking past the cafe and heading to the village where she'd met Petya and Greyfield. Ya better be ready, gen'ral. I ain't ever givin' up...

  6. Ash groaned and sat up, scratching her head. "Dammit, that was weird..." She grumbled to herself about wanting to kick T for controlling her, and made a note to find out about the other guy she'd run into. "Now... where're the others?" She wandered around the base, whistling to herself, as she looked for her teammates. Ash swung by the common room, leaning heavily in the doorway. It smelled like someone had brewed coffee not to long ago... "Oi, anybody 'ere? Just wanted ta know what happened earlier... I'm up an' fine, so I'll be goin' home if it's alright." She turned and walked out, heading to the exit. "Got some sleep, at least... an' that bullet wound doesn't even sting..." She walked through the hall, silently planning her revenge on Petya and Greyfield... and T.

  9. ((So... can I wake up 'er what? xD Meetings over, pay no attention ta the rebel on the floor~))
  10. How did this happen? This cynic... has he fallen?

  11. Ash frowned at Jackson's shocked face, listening as he explained who T was. "I thought it was interesting that the Armed Forces used these Inhibitors. T himself has a similar ability: he can negate the ability of any other ability user; and they both cause a similar blue shockwave. It's likely that the Intelligence Services is somehow assisting the Armed Forces." She froze, as though in a dream, one of those in which you can neither move nor scream. Darkness covered her sight as clapping filled her ears. It was her own, as was the voice that followed, and yet it was separate from her. "Impressive, Jackson. You've figured out so much already. Yes, I, T, have lent these Inhibitors to the Armed Forces. And not only that, I have also given them a batch of particle missiles that will surely cause enormous destruction." Whether it was from Ash's sudden interruption or the news, the people all recoiled in shock. Jackson frowned. "T, is it?" She felt a smile play on her lips, though not bidden by her will, and she listened as again she spoke without moving her own body. "Yes, yes. I do apologize for using Ash, but I do not feel it necessary to engage face-to-face conversation with you. On the topic of the missiles, they are in the hands of the Armed Forces, and they are aimed at all major locations, including the two bases and major cities. I believe they will take a week to prime?" There was a pause, and Ash fought to regain control of herself. But the voice emanating from her continued. "The similarity between the Inhibitors and my own power is not a coincidence; regretfully you can't counter both the same way. Your cube will not be able to counter my power, though it is a fantastic invention. With that, Jackson, rebels, I wish you a good week." You've been most helpful, Sparrow. Sleep now, and rest. As the voice faded, T's presence disappeared, and bright light cut though the darkness. The sounds of the earth dulled to nothing in her ears, and the last thing she felt before nothingness encompassed her was her legs giving out.
  12. Ash froze. "Wha... not that guy?" She frowned at Cyrus as he spoke, then turned and ran off toward Tasha's voice. "'Ey, sorry I'm so late. I had, uh... got distracted. it's nothing..." She entered headquarters with Tasha, so deep in thought that she said nothing. When they reached the meeting, Vivi and some short guy had just finished explaining something... or maybe arguing. Ash took the opportunity as Jackson was pressing a button to interject, "Uh, 'ey guys?" Her tone was puzzled and she appeared uncharacteristically distracted. "Who 'er T an' Cyrus?"
  13. Ash cursed under her breath as she realized she was tailing Petya. "Damned Forceless..." She tucked the photograph further into her glove and charged up her power, watching him. The bastard was on recon, and getting too close to the base for comfort. She lookec down at the bandages that were serving as her shirt. I can handle it She had to engage him and draw him away so he couldn't leak the location to Greyfield. "Looks like I've found a lost forceless wandering in my way..." Ash's power was ready to go, and she swung her left palm at Petya, aiming to jolt him with Reaper's Touch. Remembering their last fight, she closed her eyes as she attacked, refusing to make eye contact.
  14. Went to a movie wth my friend Cody. Sitting outside after some kid younger than us started smoking a cigarette, and asked if we wanted one. I 'wanted' to cruch the box, but after the fight we would've been in trouble xD

  15. Ash was only a few minutes from the base when she spotted a familiar figure on the opposite side of the street. She glanced to each side, then jogged across the street, gripping the glove that held her photograph tightly. She tailed the person for a few minutes, trying to remember through motion who this could be. The cloak made it difficult, but after a couple of minutes she stopped as she noticed who it was that she was following. ((Not sure who Ash is following xD It can be anyone who's not busy with his part of the plot, just needed some character interaction, and didn't feel like inserting myself into the meeting that's pretty much done~))
  16. Ash jogged down the street toward HQ, fiddling with her bandages. "Hope I ain't late fer the updates..." She clenched her fists, studying the glowing gloves. "Awright, ready ta fight."
  17. Ash snuck around the side of her building, unlocking the door and heading upstairs. She closed the door to her building and room behind her, heading to the cabinet. She drew out a pair of fingerless gloves, slipping them on. "I c'n use my power without expendin' energy on carryin' the scythe." She glanced at the counter, then picked up the picture frame. This was all she had of her parents, and she'd had it since she was seven, the last time she'd seen them. The photograph of herself and her parents; her mother held her hand, smiling, as her father stood beside them, tall and stern in his uniform... an Armed Forces uniform, captain's rank. Disowned me when I said I wasn't gonna fight fer them... "Dammit, I can't leave this 'ere anymore. I don't want either side ta see it..." Ash opened up the frame, taking out and folding the worn photo and slipping it into the top of her right glove. She stared at it for a moment, then shook her head and sat down. "Whatever yer doin' now dad, I'm gonna stop it..." She glanced at her clock, then jumped up and ran to the door. "I'm late fer the meeting!" Ash hurried out, locking both doors and heading into the street.
  18. Not even 8 an' I'm about to pass out... -- I hate being tired.

  19. Ash shook her head. "I barely know 'er.... I ain't the most... social rebel o' the group." She laughed ironically, staring at the ground. "Uh, could ya tell 'er when she gets up... thanks fer me? She saved my life today." She an' that weird guy T... With a distant smile and a downcast gaze she nodded in farewell, walking past Sakila. "She'll be in the infirmary room one," she called back distractedly as she continued on into the town. She didn't know why, but she felt that she should go out into the city and check on her apartment... not that there was any way it'd be noticed, and even if it had, nothing had been left there. It wasn't until she'd been walking for five minutes that she realized she'd left her scythe at HQ somewhere. All the more reason ta head home. I c'n pick up somethin' ta use 'til my power comes back fully. With a sigh he stretched, pressing on her stiches. Ash gave the signature whistle that had earned her the nickname Sparrow, heading down an alley only two minutes from her home.
  20. Ash nodded. "I am..." She blinked, unsure of Sakila's alignment. She sighed, deciding to trust the other girl for now. "Well, ya ain't an armed forceless... Are ya a rebel er an eighth?"
  21. When she could move, Ash stretched her legs and inched out of the bed, starting at the cold feel of the tile beneath her bare feet. There were no attendants, just herself and the sleeping Vivi. She sighed and stretched her arms, wincing as her stitches pulled taut. "Ah well, scars're just ornaments of bloodshed, memories of moments of weakness. Let it heal..." Ash shuffled to the door, steadying herself against the wall. She needed to go out and ge some fresh air... and for that she needed permissio at this point. "'Ey, Brent, Misaki... anybody there?" she called through the open frame. When there was no answer she risked another lecture, heading down the hall toward the hidden entrance. She stepped out into the night, not noticing that her only clothes were here baggy cargo shorts and bandages over her torso to her shoulders. The rebel known as Sparrow watched her surroundings closely before closing the door behind and heading out to catch a glimpse of the moon.
  22. Yeah, I like those colors if they're dark.
