I'm in a bad mood, so *kick*

Jamie jumped a little as Ari spoke, too absorbed in her thoughts to notice his approach. "What?" she asked, blinking. "You said somethin', yeah?"

Jamie sat staring at the bookshelf for a while, trying to tune out the chaos of what was happening. That much hatred and venom were never good, but in a place like this, where the game could mean death for any number of people, it was enough to terrify... Silently she stood, headed out of the library and back up to her room. She sat on the bed slowly, muttering, "I guess this is all that's left now, Aunt Scarlet..." She blinked back tears as she pictured Miss Scarlet, alive and well one moment and forever lost the next. "Did she die like that boy today?" she wondered aloud, her eyes wandering to the crimson-wrapped box she'd carried three days. She would leave it in Miss Scarlet's casket at her funeral. "A final gift of thanks, and a fitting farewell..."

As Hidemi took out a Balla, Erru aimed her .22 colt at the Bratva, addressing them with a glare. "Hands off her brother, or even hell won't be waiting for you." Hidemi fired off a warning at the Groves as Erru frowned suspiciously at the one who had spoken. She nodded at Jodie, who aimed her rifle at the leader of the Ballas, watching the CIA group take down Bratva men. "Why is that?" she asked coldly. "Did we intrude upon their illegal activities?"

Jamie had been wandering around her room, checking out the furniture, when the voice sounded. She jumped a little at the first booming word, then stood frozen in place as it continued to explain the deadly choice the two inhabitants had made. "There's no way someone's actually gonna be killed, yeah?" Confused, concerned, and a little creeped out, she walked out into the hallway. "Did somethin' happen?" She blinked, adding, "What the-?" as several things happened at once in a chaotic mesh of action, reaction, and hatred. Calmly she walked down the hall, avoiding looking at Kevin's body, to look for Em or another of the people she'd met at the gates. "One of them's got to know what's going on, yeah? Anybody 'ere?" she asked as she reached the doors to the library. Tentatively she knocked, opening the door. When she didn't see anyone, she sighed and slumped in a seat by a shelf of old books. "This place is messed up..."

Erru twirled Adohalv in front of herself, shoving him into Martin as he fired, then pointed both of her semi-automatic pistols at Andrei. "Drop your weapon or we will open fire," she ordered. Sera and Jodie broke through the ranks, seizing the hostages and taking down men from every faction. "Lower your weapon, Andrei," Erru repeated.

Jamie nodded at Ari. "Nice to meet you, despite the circumstances..." She sighed and tossed the box she'd been carrying on the table. "I can't give her this anymore," she sighed, glaring at the wrapping paper sullenly. "Um, I can still stay here, yeah? 'Cause there really isn't much around 'ere that I can think of..." She tugged at her tie, still looking at the box. "Not even much here, anymore..."

Jamie's expression fell, then she laughed a little. "This is some joke, right?" Her shoulders slumped as she protested. "She- she wouldn't just keel over in the middle of 'er soup. Ms. Scarlet is healthy an' well liked. This is a mistake, yeah?"

"That's it..." Erru loaded a new cartridge into her pistol, firing two shots; one clips Martin's shoulder and the others grazes Lokar's cheek. "You guys up to the same crap again?" she chided, aiming her dual handguns at the two. "Might be outgunned, but I've got a hell of a lot of determination to put you guys away." She motioned to Hidemi, who nodded and dashed forward, grabbing Eisuke as Erru fired warning shots at the kidnappers. "Sera, get Kudo," she ordered, watching the girl kick a man in the face and shove another into a car as she took out a guard beside Apollo with a shot to the femur. "Wrap it up..." Five police cars arrived, sirens wailing, and James, Camel and Jodie joined the fight. Erru got Adohalv into a chokehold, whispering. "Miss me, bastard? I still remember everything you did to those kids..."

After shaking Em's hand, Jamie blinked, uncertain of which question to answer first. She turned to Ari and Aleksander, since theirs were similar. "Well, I was headed over here a while back, dunno what day, 'an this snowstorm comes out of nowhere, yeah?" She scratched her head sheepishly. "I dunno where I am, so I take shelter 'til the better of it's out 'an then go on my way... but then I kinda got lost. But Ms. Scarlet won't mind that I'm late, yeah? She'll be happy with the present, I'm hoping..." She smiled at Em, adding, "And I'd love a lollipop. There's nothin' for the brain like sweets, yeah?" With a glance at Ari's inox, she said, "Better take care of that, it's in nice condition, yeah?" She held a hand out to Aleksander. "The name's Jamie."

Jamie smiled as a girl opened the gates, sighing, "Thanks, mate. It was gettin' a bit colder than I'd hoped..." She scratched her neck, glancing at the ground. "But I think this is where I was headed when I got lost yesterday, so it's all good, yeah? Is this Miss Scarlet's house? I'm here for her birthday party." She held up a wrapped box with a red tag, the only thing she carried outside of her jacket's pockets. "Eh, sorry, forgot my manners." She held out a hand. "I'm Jamie."

[[Character Profile: Jamie is a 17 year old rough and tumble tomboy from London. Back home she ended up in a lot of fights with guys from her school and was expelled. Her parents sent her off to keep her out of trouble, and lo and behold, she ends up at the scene of a murder and a disappearance. She loves detective stories and so gets very into investigations. Despite her lack of enemies, she isn't a people person, and is especially awkward around other girls. She has no sense of direction, loves sweets and reading, and her specialty is wound analysis and cracking alibi tricks. She has short, red-brown hair and cold blue eyes, and usually wears a sleeveless plaid button-down, cargo pants, and a grey tie. She always wears a digital watch and a tiger's-eye pendant in the shape of a bullet.]] Jamie sighed as she reached the door, pausing for a moment. The place was giving off a hell of a strange atmosphere... But there was no where else, and there was no way she'd find her way back by sundown. She stepped up to the large front door and grabbed the knocker, tapping it three times. Jamie then stood back, waiting for someone to answer, and looked around. There was a barn, and the mansion looked big enough for a small family of thirty... It was an odd combination, the house and the barn, and Jamie decided that if she stayed, she'd check it out. Again she used the knocker, hoping that someone was there and had heard.
