Erru pulled Phi along behind her, headed down the sidewalk East. She glanced at her palm, where she held a small touch-screen device. "Totally forgot, I put transmitters on all the bulletproof vests. The one on yours set off my tracker, so now I can follow the signal. But I wish I'd told them how to activate the transmitter's audio... Then we could talk to them... Let's just hope one of them finds their switch, or that we get to them before the kidnappers can trace our side of the signal. If that happens, we're cut off" She turned, dropping Phi's hand. "Sorry," she laughed. "I was kinda caught up in the moment. Didn't mean to kinda kidnap you myself." She smiled. "But I'm glad you want to help the others... at least there's a bond between you guys. Most people wouldn't do something like this for somebody they'd met against their will." She tapped the screen on her tracker. "Hey, Rose, Misaki, Sakila... can you guys hear me? Hello?" Erru sighed. "I'll just have to keep trying," she said, shrugging and continuing to walk.

Yea, but when school starts I can't stay up on sundays. I have to catch the bus at 6:30 am.

xD Well she works nights on the weekends and my dad's asleep by 9, so then I can get away with 3 am ~ xD

And I go to bed between 8-9. During the summer I can stay awake and use my pc in bed till maybe 11:30 before my mom makes me turn it off.. xP

Nah, I'm here all day while doing other stuff, but at night's when I've got no chores or cleaning to do.

Erru looked up. She couldn't believe that someone wanted to help... someone who shouldn't be involved... She took his hand gratefully and stood, brushing the tears from her eyes. "Hope you don't mind," she said, dragging him along. "We've got work to do..." Erru brushed past her boss, who had protested, responding, "I'm doing something more important than listening to some gang drone on about the people they want to kill..."

"Everybody I was supposed to protect was dragged off. Even the guys I was supposed to arrest are gone. Now I've got no idea where they are, like 3 gangs after my life, and my jobs going down the drain... But you're still here, so that's one point for us." She grew silent, avoiding looking at the scene. "What am I supposed to do?"

Erru cursed when she realized that no one was in the hall. "Where the hell are they?" She ran outside to see a truck pulling out and disappearing. "Damn it! This is my fault for straying from the mission..." Erru dropped to her knees, punching the ground. "I'm useless!" Tears clouded her eyes, and she stared at the grass.
