If they decide to dub anything else, which is highly unlikely, then I'll buy it. They might screw up all the facts, make Heiji Canadian, and add in a ton of stupid puns, but it's still the same series. And if you dislike it, you can always use the subtitles, as Funimation (conveniently) made the subtitles correspond to the original Japanese audio, and not the English, on the majority of their releases. At this point, the best bet is to have another company re-dub everything, and do it RIGHT. But that won't happen. I wouldn't be surprised if the manga quits too before long. After all, many have complained that the English manga volume translations are WORSE than the scans online. But keep this in mind: the paper volumes are done by people who generally know English, and the pictures aren't blurry, and the pictures aren't flipped around because somebody wanted them to be read from left to right. *end of rant*

I meant the characters that didn't appear before the anime was cancelled. The manga uses Japanese names, apart from Jimmy Kudo, Rachel Moore, and Richard Moore. Heiji is known as Harley, his dad is Martin, but his mom is Shizuka in the manga. (Check the English version and you'll see!) As for Makoto, his name in the manga is Makoto. So neither of them have appeared in the manga or anime under those names (and they aren't in the special features on the DVDs either). So your anime/manga points don't work. And they don't appear in the English dubbed video game or the movies. Another issue: Chianti and Korn have English voice actors listed. Where did those come from? The two of them weren't introduced until episode 425, and obviously haven't appeared in an English dub (and voice actors don't apply to the manga). So who put them in and where did they get the info? If I happened to miss something, please specify how I'm wrong! (But I've got the manga in front of me, so I can't be wrong!)

On the wiki, I've noticed that some of the characters have English Dub names, even though they never appeared in the English Dub anime. Like Shizuka Hattori=Melinda Hartwell and Makoto Kyogoku=Taylor Somerset. My question is where whoever put the names in got them from. Anybody know? If so, feel free to say!

They are two VERY important tests if you ever plan on going to college, Wild.
ACT stands for American College Testing, and SAT doesn't stand for anything at the moment, but it used to stand for Scholastic Aptitude Test and Scholastic Assessment Test. You usually take them during high school, but there are programs that let you take them in middle school like Moho, Aeyra, and I did.

I don't really know where this topic goes, so I picked the most likely spot and went with it. Anyways, I just had a quick question about the Detective Conan Fan Club website. It's been down for a while, and I can't access it at all. And the news on Detective Conan News hasn't been updated in a while, and the pictures are dead. If anybody knows the scoop on any of this, do you mind sharing? (Also, if this topic already exists somewhere, please redirect this topic there.)

I was looking around the site, and I never saw a topic like this, so I decided to make my own. Essentially, this thread is here for the purpose of guessing who will be in future keyholes. That is, in keyholes of volumes that haven't already been released. From the time of this post, the next keyhole will be the one of Volume 73, and my guess is that it'll be Sera. I'm just saying it because this is the manga section, and you shouldn't be reading this if you're not caught up on what's been happening. So who do you think? My guess: Vol. 73 = Masumi Sera Others unknown. So guess! I might add a poll in the future, if there's a big debate on something.

My home language is English, since I've lived in the USA all my life. I've been taking Spanish in school since I was ten because it's required by the school, so I'm semi-fluent. And I know some Japanese from watching DC, though I'm nowhere near fluent. I have another reason I'm learning Spanish, but there are kids reading this, and I can't say.

Haibara's the featured article because she's the most like Gosho! She's also interesting, because her past and personality are such a mystery. Note: The thing about Gosho is from an interview I read a while ago, which is already in a thread somewhere on the forum. So go find it if you need clarification!

From what I've heard so far, the podcasts are very good! I've only heard 0 and 1 though, so I don't have much to go on. But that's my fault (kind of). To begin with, my headphones only had sound coming out of one side, so I could only listen to 0, since only CarpetCrawler talked there. I borrowed my Dad's for Episode 1, so I could hear out of both sides and listen to the playful banter, and I've downloaded 2 to listen to whenever I find time. So I only have one thing to say: Keep up the good work (and the American accents)!

I hardly ever cry at anything anymore. Especially not anything here. But there was one that made me more emotional than normal, and that was... So anyways, I've never teared up at anything else, except but that's not part of the series.
