^have you read my post at the top of the page? in episode 678 Ran says that she’s 17

an episode I’ve found on YT translates her as saying “18, only one year older than you”; which would be correct with what we have on the wiki so far (Shin’ichi being 16 at the start, but turning 17 soon after) sadly I can’t hear what Haibara says there so I’m not sure how precise the translation is… in the manga, it’s translated as “18, a perfect match with you” or something like that; but I can’t find a raw to check the original Japanese… edit: the episode in question edit2: ^after asking some Japanese people, they’ve told me that it’s “お似合い”, which means “a perfect match”; so I’m guessing the manga translation is actually the accurate one… which is weird because why would she say that she’s a good match if she’s supposedly 1 year older? >_<

Ran’s age is listed as 16 as confirmed by Aoyama 1 year and a half ago, but in episode 678 (near the end) she says that she’s 17 I understand that’s an AO so it’s not a confirmation, but isn’t it strange anyway? did Ran ever mention her age in recent manga chapters? edit: actually many other characters’ ages were added from anime/OVA sources so I guess this one should be added too…?

女装癖でもあるのかしら・・・ this is about chapter 858… I think it means something along the lines of “I wonder if he has a habit to cross-dress…”, but I haven’t read the manga in a while so I don’t know if that fits with the chapter, does anybody who read it think it’s right? as for the other few I haven’t translated, like I said I haven’t been reading the manga and I’m not good enough to translate them without context (maybe even with)

^reading that one reply he gave again (今までにフルネームで登場している人です) I can’t translate it as anything other than “a person who has appeared with their full name”, so I really don’t think it was just the name were there ever any other translators looking at that phrase?

pretty sure multiple of the names you’ve cited have been confirmed as not being the boss also Aoyama has said that Haibara would be surprised to learn the identity of the boss, not Conan or others

thanks for the help I put those two in the wiki and changed the ending of the other one to “After all I got “great luck”…” I’m not sure what to do with taikō, maybe the Japanese term could be kept as-is?

been reading the manga, should I change the translation to “great luck”, like the English scanlations call it? also, I have no idea how to translate the first two of 2013… ch.844 この司会者ってもしかして・・・ Could this ?chairman? be…? ch.845 やっぱり左文字だったのね！ As I thought, it was Samoji! (what’s it supposed to mean?) or you could take the kanji as two separate words: 左 meaning “left” and 文字 meaning “character” or “letter” I’m having trouble with this one too: ch.849 本物の太閤は将棋が弱かったらしいわよ・・・ I’ve heard that real ?taikō? were/was weak at shōgi… taikō is a weird word, the Wikipedia article of Toyotomi Hideyoshi says something about it, but I haven’t read it properly yet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyotomi_Hideyoshi (search for taikō) I can’t find ch.848 translated so I’ll wait for that before trying to translate the picture

After all I have excellent luck…

^hahaha I translated a dōjinshi a few weeks ago and it took me like 4 days for 21 pages, and that was only the translation (+editing of it)

I’ll try to translate something, but it’s mostly unimportant / already known stuff: beginning is stuff about him going to meet Gōshō, about the weather etc. ・20周年では大きな組織編をしたい。 I want to make a big case with the OB for the 20th anniversary. (he may mean he wants to make a whole volume about it) ・安室はボクシングをしている。 Amuro is doing boxing. ・新一と快斗が似ている理由、裏設定はあるが、描かないかも？ The resemblance between Shin’ichi and Kaitō has a reason, but I may not draw it. everything else either was already known or I didn’t understand it… guess I’ll just paste what I didn’t understand: ・由良駅をコナン駅にしたいという話がある。 something about making Yura Station into Conan Station…?
