then I’ll take it I got it right… your post made me notice that it should be “locked” room, so I fixed it on the wiki

so… I translated from 2012-06-03 819 on the wiki, but I couldn’t translate one of them and the others might not be amazingly translated but I guess it’s better than nothing… anyway I needed help on 1 name “2012-06-03 819 密室なら榎本君の出番よね♥ If it's a closed room, then it's Enomoto-kun's turn♥” the kanji for that name can be read in multiple ways, I tried searching the wiki for some of its readings but I couldn’t find any name that would fit in the picture, what do you guys think the name was supposed to be? it could be Emoto, Eimoto, Enomoto, Kusumoto, Enokimoto etc.…

well that’s sad to hear, I find it troublesome not being able to tell how to read things, and seeing how this wiki is all “technological” I thought it might’ve been possible to replace a term with another :/

the wiki’s a mess with names, Mōri Kogorō becomes Mouri Kogoro, which is both wrong and inconsistent, why Mouri but then Kogoro instead of Kogorou? why Mouri and not Mori? so I’ve been wondering… shouldn’t all these be fixed? shouldn’t we start using macrons outside of just the InfoBox (which is the only place with correct names as of now)? and it’s not just macrons, Shin’ichi’s name is always spelt Shinichi instead of Shin’ichi (again, the InfoBox is the only place with the correct romanization) what do you think? I feel like Shinichi could stay like that if people don’t like the correct romanization, but I see no point in not using macrons; they give both a better idea of the pronounciation and are “more” correct than whatever else people try to use because they can’t type them

I followed the anime until the DCTP drama, now I haven’t watched in a while but I plan on watching raws and following the manga alongside for translations not to get spoiled is easy enough, I’m the only one of my acquaintances who follows Conan, and by not reading the manga section on here I avoid spoilers though every now and then I might read spoilers on my own because I’m curious

we said the exact same thing, on the Internet you’d hardly be traceable as DCTP staff if you removed all bonds with that site and you keep saying that DCTP is done. I know that. I keep saying I’m talking about possibilities, not about what will or should happen; chill out edit: I was trying to explain the legal situation to the forum, but you seem to have taken it as a personal attack to the DCTP group or something

@Kyuu Nye: maybe I misused the word “host”, but what I meant was not doing anything on the DCTP site and just uploading vids to YT as random users, or by other methods of distribution. I didn’t mean that DCTP could link to other sites with fansubs; but that it could be taken out of the DCTP website and still be continued edit: …and with this I don’t mean that the DCTP fansubbing staff should do this (I guess I would like it, but I won’t force anyone), I was simply explaining the possibilities because some people were confused

wow, way to go and completely misunderstand me I simply explained that all fansubbing is illegal, and it exists only because copyright holders ignore fansubbers; it’s true that DCTP could keep subbing it and distribute it on say, YouTube, but I never said you should do that. don’t put words in my mouth

strictly speaking, I think it just means DCTP can’t host Conan episodes anymore, but they could even keep subbing it themselves and distribute it in other ways; bottom fact is, fansubbing is illegal and it’s up to copyright holders whether or not to press charges

really sad about this, but as long as the manga gets translated I’ll be able to follow the raws and read manga for the translation… I just hope there is a backup of the conan-tv site and that it’ll be able to go up again when Funimation loses the rights
