  1. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/The_Professor%27s_Video_Site “Attempted Murder” on Agasa is wrong, they simply stun gunned him to make him unconscious, I didn’t know what to change it to though
  2. I didn’t know where to post this, but… http://www.batoto.net/read/_/14934/detective-conan_ch776_by_detective-conan-translation-project/8 why is Haibara going out without disguise here? I don’t really remember if that’s normal, but it struck me as strange because just a few pages before she remembers to put on a hat… isn’t it weird?
  3. are you sure “nee-chan” implies that? I thought it was just a general term you could use to refer to girls

going by a translation doesn’t help, in the original Japanese it might’ve used a genderless pronoun or whatever else
  5. ^lmao “No lie, the beginning of the song sounded pretty good... until I heard the singing. Then it went downhill for me.” I agree with that
  6. aside from anything else… you can’t die from holding your breath, you’d pass out before dying and automatically start breathing again while unconscious
  7. “A. Only Detective Takagi isn't based off of a real-life person;” am I the only one who found that curious? O_o and thanks again for a great translation
  8. Lust – Sonoko? she is always looking at boys lol
  9. episode 654 May 5th? what? aren’t we at 652? :/ this forum seems to have some deep hatred for Conan OPs/EDs, I personally like most of them
  10. ^I agree it sounds nice and plausible, but I wouldn’t make the absence of Kogorō’s parents such an important thing as he makes it sound… I never even thought about it, and even after reading Checkhov’s post I feel it’s a bit of a stretch, but still it sounds plausible
  11. Gosho has stated in interviews that Agasa isn’t the boss :\ it wouldn’t make any sense, seeing as the BO wants to kill Conan/Ai and Agasa knows everything about them
  12. I had to read that 6-7 times to actually understand what it meant, I wouldn’t blame The Black Demon…
  13. I’m gonna try to get a hold of someone more expert to ask their opinion and I had forgotten to mention one thing before… in the lyrics section, we have them written as 可愛い in one place, but 可愛 without the final i in all other places, which I don’t think is a word and just seems to be a typo, I’ve “corrected” the rōmaji to be “kawai” for that part instead of “kawaii”, but maybe the correct way is changing the Japanese lyrics to always be 可愛い? edit: 02:13.47 Minami_ 七つの子って七歳の子と違うだろ? >a_a 02:13.56 U-tan <@a_a@2ch> onaji so you were right, sorry
  14. wow, that’s a weird mistake about Sherringford about the Nanatsu no Ko page, where are you getting the “child of seven” translation? my Japanese isn’t very good, but the only translations I see for 七つの子 are either “the seven children” or “the seven baby crows”. for “child of seven” I would expect to see the kanji for age (才/歳) somewhere…
  15. why is this in the manga section? it should be in general
  16. this is awesome, thank you so much
  17. “Adding to the pun, the password for the APTX data is "Shellingford", an unintentional misspelling of "Sherrinford",” http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/APTX_4869#Name_origin I’m curious, how was it defined as “Shellingford” rather than “Sherringford”? I’m wondering because in Japanese, there is no difference between R and L, they’re basically the same letter. I find it hard to believe it’s an unintentional misspelling edit: the video in this page doesn’t work anymore http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Nanatsu_no_Ko
  18. oh, I see… btw, isn’t it weird to still be using floppy disks? lol
  19. ^wait a sec, what’s this talk about? O_o is it manga stuff only? (I don’t read the manga… yet) I don’t remember names of places such as “Haido City Hotel”… what’s that about?
  20. I think that in the anime, when Heiji investigates that FBI woman thinking she’s Vermouth (or whatever it was, I didn’t understand that part…), he went “you know Japanese well even though you’re trying to fake it”, and she went “you too are good at English because you replied “yes” (to a question) while in Japanese you would say “no” to mean “yes”” or something like that, maybe it came from there?
  21. XDDDDDDDD honestly, I think this OP is so bad it’s good. and goth Haibara is lovely <3 (about the video) and the song is nice imo
  22. it’s “suki” 好き, and it’s a pretty weird word… it certainly can be used as “like”, but it’s also used almost always in romantic relationships when you’d expect someone to say “love”, though there are a few other variants of saying love that don’t come up as often
  23. I said that myself… but if it was only used once, that’s weird
