  1. then “sono” makes sense, since the culprit would’ve been close edit: but they still say “ano hito” most of the time, I think XD weird edit9000: I think it would make sense to say “sono” if you were indicating the person, usually they say “anata da” (it’s you) in those cases, though except, why would they use kata? was it a particularly important person?
  2. “hito” is informal, it’s what’s used almost always, except if you’re talking about a really important person, in that case you use “kata” to display respect “sono”? it’s a synonim of “ano”, but it’s normally used for things that are closer… could it be a hint that the boss was close to the person saying that? but I’m not sure of that, it could be just another word you can use instead of ano since they’re pretty much synonims
  3. Genta says “全部を見るとあの人に会える!” which is indeed “ano hito / that person”, those subs are a perfect translation of it now for who he actually meant, I don’t know, but it seems weird that it’d be “The Boss”, because those hints are something that only appear in the anime I think, right? I think it’s weird for such a thing to be said in the anime only edit: I’m sorry, I thought you wrote “ano hito”, not “ano kata”… nevermind this post … actually reading my post again though, it could sound as if I was agreeing with you lol
  4. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Okiya_is_Akai_Theory#Similar_Names who wrote this? it sounds stupid, most of all the fact that the names end in a vowel: in Japanese, except for “n” it’s impossible for words to end in anything but vowels so using such a thing to claim the names are similar is stupid: Mōri Kogorō, Kudō Shinichi/Yūsaku, Sonoko… I can’t actually remember other names, but see how they all end in a vowel?
  5. where can I read this Conan Drill? I’m curious about Kogorō’s finances…
  6. wow, really? that’s the reason? that sucks… I’m just now on the first episode where it changes, and it sounds so, so wrong
  7. so episode 553 is where Kogorō changes voice, huh…

  8. I like the OP with the characters all disguised as someone else quickly passing by, and the one where Conan dances xD does anyone know which one is that disguising one? I think it’s in someone’s sign too about endings I don’t remember any I particularly liked
  9. it’s seiyū or seiyuu actually I don’t know between Kogorō and Conan… or maybe Kaitō Kid
  10. uhm, the key word in my post was “some” movies… I never said all of them are canon
  11. does Gosho explicitly say that? couldn’t it be that if you asked him about some movies, he’d reply “it’s ok to think they’re canon” even if it wasn’t he himself who made them? the fact he put a movie character into canon is a hint to that…
  12. I was talking about the episodes, not to you
  13. wow, that’s some serious advertising kind of annoying, but also funny
  14. why does Fusae’s page use the English name? http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Fusae_Campbell isn’t she called Kinoshita Fusae?
  15. omg, episode 364, he wears grey O_o http://www.animecrazy.net/detective-conan-episode-364/228461 this is weird
  16. I think “dub” should be there… “Joseph Meguire in the Funimation,” in the Funimation what? of course it’s obvious, but it doesn’t sound grammatically correct to me about the other part… I’m getting confused, isn’t that part about the English dub? if it’s talking about the Japanese original it’s worded confusingly…
  17. does anyone know? I don’t remember ever seeing him wearing grey in the series
  18. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Juzo_Megure “also known as Joseph Meguire in the Funimation, but commonly referred to as Inspector Megure” it’s missing “dub” after Funimation I think, also shouldn’t “Inspector Megure” be “Inspector Meguire”? I can’t see the edit button for that part so I don’t know how to edit it…
  19. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Ran_Mouri#Background I just changed “Her parents separated when she was seven,” before it was written she was six (I’m currently watching the 2nd movie youtube.com/watch?v=NAjYi9mze8 and she says she’s seven at the time, not only the subs say it but I can also understand it from her phrase in Japanese) am I supposed to write these changes I make in this topic though? edit: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Shinichi_Kudo#Appellations “what Shinichi calls them” for Kogoro, shouldn’t there be “Kogoro-san”? at 0:50 here (movie 2) youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=OWSBDrj2Iss actually, isn’t Occhan incredibly wrong? I’m gonna replace it
  20. just registered and don’t know if I should be posting here but… I noticed in 2 places the word “taughts” which I believed to be a misspell of “thoughts”, so I changed it to that the places are here http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Shinichi_Kudo#Appellations “Ayumi (as seen in Conan's thoughts where he acts more like his usual self)” and “Kazuha (also seen in Conan's thoughts)”
