Btw I found out the name of that character I wrote down as “*whatever*-chan” is “Nan-chan”, so you can edit that in.

赤井さんもマスカラつけてるのかしら・・・ | I wonder if Akai-san is wearing mascara, too… I’ll get to translating last week’s one eventually… it’s a reference to a really old manga.
-
^Last one is just a happy new year kinda thing. The year 2000 was the year of the dragon according to the Chineze zodiac calendar or something.
-
^Found higher resolution of the second to last pic from Google: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B1Ma2w3CcAA3u3D.jpg:large Source: https://twitter.com/hutaba_ayp/status/527795139129769984 Edit: Oh, and it’s about Mitsuru Adachi’s MIX manga. The text says: “殺人マンガ家の後輩としては、MIXで今度は誰が殺される・・・いや、死ぬか気になる所であります。” which means: “As a murder mystery mangaka kōhai, I’m interested in seeing who’s going to be killed… no, who’s going to die next in MIX.” Not sure why he’s saying that, doesn’t look like a murder mystery manga to me. Maybe one of his other manga is. Btw Conan says “Doesn’t look like Nan-chan…”, seems to be something Aoyama always says about his own fan art.

I could’ve swore there was either a postcard or Sherry Soliloquy about Zettai Karen Children, but I can’t find it anymore…

http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/The_Jet-Black_Mystery_Train I think there should be some kind of note for when Japanese titles use kanji but read them in a completely different way… This one says Shikkoku no Tokkyū and I thought the rōmaji was a mistake before looking up the episode and seeing that they went with a completely unrelated reading compared to the kanji. I almost went and changed it.
-
^Thanks, then my initial translation is probably correct. “They” might make more sense than “you”, though… I’ll go change it.
-
To whoever uploaded the older Sherry picture to the wiki: please look at the standard naming that’s being used and follow it. Edit: And also don’t alter other people’s translations, thanks. Also looking at it again I’m unsure if the last one means “won’t form a band” or “will the band not do it?”. I don’t know the context.
-
“So, you won’t form a band?”

[SPOILER DISCUSSION] File 936-938 Girl Band
ALAKTORN replied to DCUniverseAficionado's topic in Manga series
Sorry but after the second time I have to correct you: it’s spelled “canon”. -
“I hope people who don’t know “K-On!” will enjoy it too.❤”

Clicked the last one and read a few lines and I’m already puzzled. ・基本的にニックネーム(酒の名前)のついているメンバーは、上下関係ではなく同格 This says that between nicknamed agents there is no hierarchy, they’re all on the same level. I always thought Vodka was Gin’s sidekick, though? The wiki also kind of puts Rum/Gin/Vermouth on a higher level.

http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/The_Girl_from_the_Black_Organization_and_the_University_Professor_Murder_Case What about adding back/forward arrows next to the “Episode 129” in the infobox with links to the next and the previous case? This should be really easy to do… I think “Episode #” redirects to that episode’s page, so you could just have it done automatically– if it’s “Episode 129” then → will be “Episode 130” etc. Edit: I didn’t notice this was already at the bottom of the Infobox, lol.
-
I was watching episode 129 again (Haibara’s introductory, nice ep). Been editing a little the wiki on it. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/The_Girl_from_the_Black_Organization_and_the_University_Professor_Murder_Case#Situation The part that says: “The broker tells the kids he rented a location by the local police post to a newspaper printing company 2 years ago and they recently hired a new worker.” I think is wrong. It’s not “a new worker” but rather “a new printer”. In the anime this seems to be translated correctly (around 27m30s runtime), but in the manga it’s not which is where I presume that came from. The phrase used in the anime is: Conan: “偽札をするための印刷機はなかったよ” The broker: “印刷機ってよ駅前の新聞社がこの間新しいやつ入れてたなぁ・・・” I was posting because I wasn’t sure if I should edit that part but now I am so I’m going to anyway. Edit: Oh yeah while I’m here, does the “height” mouse-hover thing not work only for me? (The page layout is also kinda broken, especially if you mouse over citation #1; on 1280×1024 resolution at least.) http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Ran_Mouri Edit2: Completely OT but I just noticed in the anime Agasa says “Ai-kun” while in the translated manga it’s “Ai-chan”… weird… btw Ai’s reveal scene is a lot cooler in the anime, the manga quickly plays it off as a joke while the anime has actual suspence that makes you think everything has gone to hell. Good change. Edit3: Found another mistake: “In the anime, Haibara tells Conan she escaped from the Organization via a laundry chute; in the manga, it is referred to as a trash chute (ダストシュート).”. This is just completely wrong. If you listen to the anime, you hear ダストシュート, the translation just wrongly called it a laundry one. I’ve removed the section. http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/List_of_differences_between_the_manga_and_anime#Season_5_-_Episodes_107-134 Trying to edit any of the sections from an open spoiler doesn’t actually work. They link to different sections in the page. In the resolution, “Because of this, Shiho realized that Shinichi Kudo likely shrank so she went to his house where she ran into Agasa.” sounds wrong. Haibara thought Shin’ichi shrank from much earlier than that, because she saw a rat shrink during experiments. And she went to Agasa’s house because she didn’t know where else to go. Edit: Wiki says that The Disappearing Weapon Search Case is episode 135, but at the end of episode 129 I saw the “next time” bit or whatever and it was about episode 135. Was that because of a re-run? Does the wiki mention re-runs at all? Where?

いつも思うけど、佐藤刑事の服って自前なのかしら・・・ | I always think this but, I wonder if detective Satō’s clothes are her own… I suppose she means when she’s in disguises? Dunno. Had to look up the chapter to make half-sense of this one.

I haven’t read the manga much lately so I have no idea what it’s about, I just translate what I see. http://jisho.org/ is a useful website to find kanji. You click on “radicals” and click on each radical that makes up the kanji you’re looking for, and the website gives you results based on the radicals you’ve selected.

I don’t see it in that image but feel free to edit the wiki with whatever.

やっぱり婦警さんは活動服じゃなくてスカートよね❤ | As I thought, policewomen don’t wear activities clothing, they wear skirts.❤ No idea what activities clothing is supposed to be. If anyone wants to look it up the word is 活動服.
