File 828-830?: Kaitou Kid steals a turtle (NO SPOILER)

How did Kid know that Nakamori wouldn't be the first to check the tank? Still, this case made me laugh until I drooled. -
File 828-830?: Kaitou Kid steals a turtle (NO SPOILER)
ValleyofFear replied to Chekhov MacGuffin's topic in Manga series
What did Jirokichi mean by "Shirou's wee lass?" As for the log thing, you can kind of see it in page 4 of ch 829. As for the sign and the water line, if you're right, than the water volume rose for a short time during the exhibition. I have to say I don't think that had anything to do with the case. Double post merged -
It has been said many times before that she probably did not take APTX.

While I'm in the addictive mode and continually watch the series, I do it because it's exiting and I just love mysteries. But afterwards, I love thinking about each cases and engaging my brains on major things such as who Bourbon and Scar Akai is and other major things like that. I also like how Conan has to deal with being the cruel bringer of justice. At the end of the Gomera case, while he was expected to be thanked, he was told that not everything is black and white. Most people, not just the murderers, of the series would say the same thing. Conan is never allowed to side with the criminal but sometimes he can't help but feeling sorry for the criminals which can be hard. Even Sherlock Holmes let a murderer get away once and concealed the truth about her identity. Conan, being a Sherlock fan and through experience, would understand how he felt. He realizes that the world is not black and white but at the same time, he is fighting something that is completely black: The BO. This organization causes the blackness of one's heart to be in the dark society. As Gin said, "Mixing black with black will only get you black." However, there is "white" as well. Ran's pure heart for all people lets Conan see good in people as well because as she represents, there's good in everyone. Some people see this as weakness but in reality, this makes them strong (which metaphoracally explains Ran's karate). Perhaps this is why Conan tries to make the criminals realize that what they were dong were wrong: while they'll never be cleansed of the blood they spilt, they can still redeem themselves. Ai is the exemplary. She has turned her back on the society of pure evil and has found her way to those will help her redeem herself. Although at first she was uncomfortable to accept Ran, she eventually accepts her and has time and time again redeemed herself. She has gone from a person willing to test drugs on live human beings, to a kind person willing to sacrifice herself for the safety of others. The thing she wants to protect them from is the pure blackness that may mean she doesn't want them to fall victims to society.

True, with what we've got now it seems that they are the same person. However, we don't know where Jodie got the fingerprint of Vermouth. It could have been forged to trick the FBI because that is very possible, especially with a big criminal organization. Forging fingerprint would be very useful to them in other ways as well.

Maybe Sharon Vineyard and Chris Vineyard are not the same person?? Has anyone thought of that possibility? I have for a long time now.

If Okiya is Boubon, then Ai would be dead by now since the BO knows what she looks like as a child and Bourbon is good at gathering informtion so I don't think that he's Okiya. Someone tell me if it's been said before but I don't think Okiya is Akai. If so, why did Ai try to look under Okiya's scarf? Most likely to check if there's anything on his neck and since she thought that he might be Akai at the time, I think it's safe to say that Akai has something like a scar on his neck but we clearly know that Okiya doesn't have anything on his neck as Sonoko and Ran confirmed. Shinichi has like 3 look-alikes in the series. I don't think it'd be that weird that Akai has one too.

Although I never cried, I was disturbed by the way that hunter killed a bear cub to lure his mother to kill her if that counts. It's funny how I feel bad when an animal dies and not when other 500 people die in the series.

I wonder why Yusaku's not in many of these lists. He's the best detective in DC and it's not even his profession. Probably because the real cases are too easy for him so he makes his own which makes him more arrogant than every other detectives combined. I love the way he mess with Conan.

If Kaito Kid could figure out that Conan's identity, then I think the FBI would definitely know too. Judging from how Jodie asked Vermouth why she called Conan Cool guy instead of Cool kid and asked why she was after Haibara when she was clearly can't be the person in the photo with the X across her face and asked why she didn't age, (If she knew that Shinichi shrunk, it wouldn't be too crazy that Vermouth deaged as well) by the end of the Vermouth arc, I think it's pretty clear that she doesn't know that they are the same person. However, she does know that Conan isn't an ordinary kid and neither does Kaito Kid. The FBI have more resources and reason to find out Conan's identity. It is possible that Aoko used her magic to figure out Conan's identity and told Kaito about it but I don't think he would believe her. Besides, he's a Shinichi look-alike, why can't there be another one?

If that's the case, can you explain why Kir warned Jodie about Bourbon and made it sound like he was a threat? I think the CIA would tell Kir if they sent a back up for her. Also, why would he tell the BO that Sherry is on that train and let them set up traps for her? Does he not value life? I think you got this idea from Gin calling Bourbon secretive but that isn't a good reason.

Why would the Boss of the Organization alow experiments to be done on his/her favorite? It also seem as if all of the members of the organization fear him to much to do it in secret so I say the theory of her aging being a result of experiments done to her is not likely. If she had plastic sergery and she really is about 45-60, then I feel sorry for Gin (even though he kind of deserves it for those of you who know what I'm talking about)

LOL thanks. I missed that thread on the reference guide.

This is completely out of the blues and might sound stupid but who did Sera mean by "someone who never smiled?" I assumed it was Akai but I think someone else in DC world deserve that title a bit more. Someone She's interested in and want to meet. It just might be Ai, or in this case, Shiho Miyano, She definitely wasn't the kind of a person who'd smile when she was in her real body and since Sera is so interested in her as a kid, she might have known her in the past. In fact, Sonoko was just describing her as, "As if an anti-social woman somehow up and turned into a little kid." She somehow nailed it and might have reminded Sera of her and caused her to talk about a person who never smiled.

I hope she gets back too. Hoping for sappy moments when she reunites with her brother. Maybe a scenario in which Gin has him hostage and can't shoot Hidemi because she has bomb wrapped all around her and Gin demand that she take those off so he can kill her and give her informations or something and Eisuke yells, "NOOOO" but Hidemi does anyway to save her brother and he asks why and she says, "Because you're my little brother. I'll always do everything I can to save you," Then Eisuke recalls the time she gave him lots of blood and cries. Getting carried away sorry. Enoying right?

Yamamura is the first on my list. He is such a moron. He doesn't deserve to have a rank as an inspector and has to milk it for as long as he has that job until he gets fired (which I hope is soon). Chianti is the next, She's just such a creep. I don't actually mind Eisuke. I kinda feel bad for him about how he lost his parents and his sister is in an organizaiton where she could die any day. Now he's trying to live up to his family's name as a "Hondou." I hope he can some day. Maybe when Conan destroys the Organization.

How will Conan/Shinichi beat the Black Organization?
ValleyofFear replied to KudoKun18's topic in General
All this talk of secret criminal organization and CIA and action and other stuff is making me think of Alex Rider. I love both series and I'm hoping Conan will use a gun like he did. Not to go as far as kililing anyone but get informations or stop someone from escaping by shooting his leg or something (then he ends up killing himself before Conan can stop him). Besides, Sherlock Holmes often used guns too so why can't Conan? Maybe he'll even use the method Holmes used to destroy the Mortiarty gang although I'm still not sure how he did it. I just hope he doesn't get the idea that he's work as a detective is finished as he rid the community of their vileness. -
Maybe that's the reason why he faked his death in the first place, to fool Bourbon since he knew that he'd come after him. when he saw him hanging around the Beika district. I realize that I said that Scar Akai is the real Akai but you never know. By the way, I find it suspicious that the three of them got a call at the exact same time when Vermouth called. She was talking directly to one of them but what were the other two doing? Also, they were all using different kinds of communication devices. I don't know much about these stuff but maybe one of you have an idea. One more thing. The person Haibara felt was behind her could've been Vermouth. Also, can any of you guys tell me if Tooru is right handed or left handed? I'm not sure about Masumi either. Also, should I be suspicious that Okiya's earpiece was on his right ear at the end of chapter 800? One more thng. The person Haibara felt was following them could've been Vermouth.

I'm not sure if we can be 100% sure that it was Scar Akai who Sera thought that she saw. It could be the other way around. I'm not saying that I know who Sera saw but it could be that Akai was investigating either her or possibly Amuro because he thought one of them was Bourbon. You never know, it could be that he hid from Sera since he didn't want to let Bourbon see him. This is just one of the many possibiity there is. I just wanted to point this out. I'm well aware that there are many loose ends Chekhov.

You know that's like saying Conan doesn't have to return to his normal body to be with Ran right? I mean I can imagine that ever working out. If what you say does happen, I guess she'll have to wait like at least 15 years just for him to grow up and not be awkward for them to go out. It'll be just a bad parody of OVA 9 except she has to wait even longer than Ran. If Mitsuhiko learns the truth, he would have to commit in being with Haibara from that moment and wait that long as well.

This whole thing about them never leaving any evidence really reminds me of Moriarty and his gang. This Anokata makes sure that everyone clean their mess up. Eventually Holmes brings them all down and get their necks on the noose. Similar things will happen in DC. Also, they wear the coats to hide their over sized bullet proof vests and hats to keep their hair from falling into the crime scenes. Although I doubt that Gin's long hair will be restrained just by that. It could be a wig though.(I'd freak out if I'm right)

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. But even in the manga, Araide still grabs Conan with his left hand and about that one case when Sato accidentaly picked Shiratory to marry and made a bet to see if Takagi would get there before sunset or not, if Araide didn't put his glasses on with his right hand, then they'd both know that he wasn't Takagi right? I think she caught on to what Conan was doing by then.
-
Okay, she does use her left hand when putting on her glasses and pointing back, but she used her left hand when grabbing Conan's arms. Maybe we should all use the anime as the source instead of the manga just so that there's no confusion about the pages being flipped.
-
I don't think so. It'd be too much of coincidence if that's the case. Also, I was wondering something. Vermouth dropped her gun when she got shot by Akai, but then she grabbed Conan with her right hand. She rushed into the car and at that time, she didn't have a gun on her. Between running for your life, rushing into the car, scooting to the next seat, pulling out another gun (it had a different shape then the one she had before), driving past her own car, and finally shooting at the gas tank within like, a second, you don't have any time to think. You'd definitely grab for your gun with your dominant hand. Also, none of you explained why Vermouth used her left hand when she was disguised as Araide.

So I guess Scar Akai, assuming that he's Bourbon, was only trying to get out of there quickly and that's why he sent them the message. Is that right?
