Something else I've been wondering. I always assumed that it was Okiya Subaru who solved that 13 red shirts case and sent his text message via a random guy's cellphone but something's bothering me. If Okiya did send that text message, why was it Skar Akai who gave the cellphone back?

Unless I'm mistaken, the only time we've ever seen Vermouth actually shoot a gun was in the haunted ship case when she shot at Calvados with her right hand which could be counted as unavoidable since he was at her right side, and she uses her left hand to shoot at the gas tank. She probably just handled the gun with her right hand as it was convienient for her to tale the gun from Jodie with her left hand as it was in her right hand, then place it into her right hand. She might have done it as to not give away her identity. Besides, you still didn't explain why Vermouth was using her left hand when disguised as Araide as he is, now I know, clearly right handed.
-
Good point. But if that's the case, then it's even more suspicious now isn't it? Why would Vermouth use her left hand when disguising as him? Actually, I think you just cleared many things that I wasn't sure about. I should thank you. It suppots my theory more that Vermouth is really left handed. Come on, this is the first real evidence I ever got to support my theory so cut me some slack.

I am very impressed with your theory. I could not find one thing that doesn't add up. Now I'd like you to read what I've found recently as an attempt to support my theory. I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but the reason why I even came up with this theory is because when I saw Vermouth's photo in her wiki page, I noticed that she was holding the phone with her left hand but the person who burnt down Jodie's house was without a doubt a right handed person. What's more. Sharon Vineyard was right-handed and when Vermouth disguised herself as Dr. Araide, she was definitely left-handed. At this point I thought that there's no way that Sharon and Chris were the same person. Gosho wouldn't make a mistake like that. However, I was very disappointed to find that the real Dr. Araide was left- handed when he was first introduced in the series. I thought then that Vermouth was just being left handed so she wouldn't give away her identity. Just to make sure I checked the file when the real Araide appeared after the haunted ship case and I noticed something that gave me goosebumps. He was RIGHT-HANDED! It's not like I'm 100% but he was definitely using that hand to whisper to Conan, point, and talk to the cell phone. That's just too many coincidences for me. There's not a single doubt in my mind that he was LEFT-HANDED when he was first introduced. That complicated things. The only other thing is weather Chris Vineyard is right-handed or left-handed. What I found was that most of the time when she isn't disguised as Araide, she used her right hand but there were several occasions when she used her left such as to poor drinks to herself and talk to the cell phone. There was something else interesting. In the manga, she used her right hand to tear off the Araide mask in the haunted ship case but in the Anime, she uses her left. She did handle her gun with her right hand but that might be because it was more convienient for her to grab it when it was on the left side of her jacket. During that episode, i thought that she had a pretty good aim and draw yet Jodie and Akai were both able to shoot faster than her. I noticed that when she shot the gas tank, she used her left hand. Usually, right handed people can't aim well with left hand, even more so when shooting backwards only using mirror while injured. All this is just too much to be purely coincidence. Gosho wouldn't make those little detail without any reason and saying that they're both handed sounds a bit too weak. My theory is that after Sharon Vineyard burnt Jodie's house, she hears that her body wasn't found and realizes that she must have taken the witness protection program from the FBI since her father was one. Chris takes advantage of this and however reason Jodie was able to get a sample of Vermouth's fingerprint was on purpose. She uses a virus like Nightbaron to hack into the FBI's data base and change the fingerprints. She knew that the fingerprints they found would be from Sharon's right hand so she would have to pretend to be righthand as well when she is actually left-handed.

First off, I really hate mash-ups. Second, did Haibara even come out in episode 112? Third, by understandable, I meant that I can understand why some fans might possibly like the idea of what you call "AyuCon", but I've never even considered what you call "MitsuAi" (urgh, tired of doing this) before I joined. Finally, I only posted this to clear up some stuff and the one before because of sudden impulse, not to debate.

I don't think Sera is as good as Conan or other guys. Also, she was willing to let that one guy get killed by the sniper and actually tried to get him killed. She didn't even try to come up with a possibility of saving all lives as Shinichi did which is being a bad detective.

Thanks for the references but I'm stll a bit confused. Of course I already looked at some of these but none of them completely satisfied my curiosity. The thing about Itakura was a baseless assumption though, but for Sherry to be considered important to the organization even by Gin himself must mean that APTX really is relevant to their true plan.

Personaly, I'd go with Yusaku Kudo since he probably has better deducition skills than any other characters except possiblly Heizo Hattori, and if he's willing to postpone his proposal to solve a case, he must also have strong sense of justice as to Heizo who uses his son as a bait (although I kind of liked that part. Sorry Heiji).

I think she's mostly guilty about Akemi dying. She only got involved in the organization to get Haibara out of it. However, she was probably feeling guilty herself for having a normal life while Haibara is forced to make drugs and was sent to U.S. for schooling, constantly watched by the org. It'd be a shame if she dies though. Akemi died so that she can live. If she died, that death would've been for nothing. Now thanks to her, she can have a normal life. That's probably what Conan thinks as well.

Let me try and counter that: 1: If you're trying to say that Shinichi is Ran's boy toy, then you didn't even look at this show 2: Opposites attract 3: They look better together 4: Ran can give emotional support while Ai is not much needed since Conan solve cases all by himself 5: If Ran payed every person she knocked out's medical bills, Sonoko would have to pay for her and that'd still not be enough 6: Shinichi and Ran have been friend since childhood 7: The fact that they can understand each other means that they aren't any emotional feelings between them to get in their way of deductions 8: Haibara mostly rejects Conan taking big risks and always doubts if he can return safely and he doesn't need intelectual help 9: Like I said, opposites attract. That's what makes it good 10: The one he can really depend on is someone whom he knows will never betray him and always stay faithful to him. He knows that Ran is this one person 11:Dude, admit it. Conan feels guilty about letting Akemi die and doesn't want her death to be for nothing. That's all there is, nothing more That's MY oppinion ADD-ONs: 12: If it's true that Ran forces Conan, then she'd force him to stay home when it's late. I'd say she gives him too much freedom for a 1st grader. Also, Haibara always oppose when Conan goes after the BO. She only supports him if it's the best possible option 13: Irene Adler only appeared once for a short while. She's already married to this other guy. Also, she never outwitted him, all she did was see through his disguise, and that was because she was an actress herself. Holmes admits defeat only because she purposely let him have what he wanted which was nothing but a letter. He was never even in love with her (I think)

Seriously people, how many fan couples do you guys need? I can tolerate Conan and Haibara, I can imagine why you'd want Conan and Ayumi, but this is just not right! Pleeeeese, can we stop talking about these and just focus on the mystery? This isn't even likely to happen anyway. We all know that Conan is going to go back to his real body and smack down the BO. When that chosen day of greatness finally arrives, he will have to explain to everyone what happend to him and how he was given a drug. That is bound to make everyone suspicious of Haibara too. Eventually she's have to tell them even if she doesn't go back to her own body. I'm sure his feelings for her might not change but it'd be too awkward for both of them to have anythhing going on. I can't imagine being with someone ten years younger or older than me. Even if he doesn't find out, she's have to constantly lie to him which is not right.

As for this crazy idea of Shiho and Saguru... there might be one or two cases where it's possible that they could have a chane(?) I doubt it though. If that Natsumi person that Saguru was flirting with looked a bit like Shiho then I could have said that he mistook her for Shiho from when they met as children like the case with Shiratory and Kobayashi but even I'm not convinced that this theory is even lowly likely. That would mean that Saguru felt that Natsumi couldn't be the killer, which would mean that he's a bad detective and he didn't feel even little remorese at her being the culprit. Sorry, that's the only possible explanation that I could come up with, I don't want to get your hopes up so just try to give up on this.

I support the theory of Okiya being Akai. When Conan heard that someone with a cap gave that person a cellphone after messaging the deductions to Mouri, he probably knew that it was Akai and thought that he took his disguises off. When he heard about the sniper and porche, he thought that the organization had found out about Akai being Okiya so he told all the customers that the mall was going to give them gift certeficates in order to get Okiya out of trouble but saw that he still didn't take his disguies off only after he had done that. Moreover, he probably was mildly surprised to hear that Jodie saw Akai. If we say that he though that he died, then he should be more surprised than that. If he didn't even know about what happened at that night Akai faked his death, then he shouldn't be surprised at all. He was MILDLY surprised because he thought that Akai had taken his disguiese off. He was surprised at seeing Okiya because he didn't know he actually didn't take it off. He then wondered who it could be that Jodie saw. Still, I don't know why Okiya said that he wasn't sure if it was the SMARTEST method. He might have just been critisizing how he handled it, but I'm not that sure. He didn't seem that upset to see that he prevented Bourbon from getting shot by their own member, but it might be just because he doesn't want anyone else to kill him. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure if this makes sense but here it goes: When Conan first met Haibara, she told him that she came up with a HYPOTHESIS that Shinichi Kudo has been shrunk after seeing one of the lab mice shrinking instead of dying. Moreover, she said that she had goose bumps at seeing his childhood clothes gone when investigating his house. If it's true that she was trying to make a drug that can make people deage, then shouldn't that be her starting hypothesis? Also, she said that she had never meant to create a poison that kills. I think she was telling the truth since that wouldn't take 50 years and still be in experimental stage. Most likely, the BO used it as an assassination method just because they thought it'd be deadly enough. So here's my question: What is the true purpose of the drug and does it have anything to do with what Itakura couldn't finish for the sake of humanity?

Let's assume that your theory is true and that she was given a substance that stopped her from aging 30 years ago by the Miyanos. From that, the most likely story would be that she planned one or two years after that to pretend to be her own daughter. She marries this guy and 28 years later when she came out to the public, when her appearance as a 28 year old would be consistent with her story of being Sharon's daughter. I can understand how you might think this but I say that it is unlikely. For one thing, Chris Vineyard refused to tell her real age to the public and so did Sharon. If Vermouth went through all that trouble to make sure her story of having a daughter made sense, why would she not tell them something that could have erased any possible doubts? If she did say that she was 28 years old after her mother's supposed funeral, then they would completely believe her since Sharon must have married some time around that time (since that's about the time she would've taken the drug and planned this one or two years later). The other factor is that in order for her to decieve everyone from discovering the truth, she would need to know how to disguise herself. In order for her story to make sense, she would need to look ten years older than how she actually look (20years) when she took lessons from Toichi Kuroba with Shinichi's mother. Why would she bother taking that lesson if she was already an expert? For fun? not likely, To get close to Yukiko? Not it either. There's just no good reason.

I'd say that my theory is more likely than her taking the drug or saying that she found the pandora. Everything in DC is based on logic (except for those two times when Shinichi and Sherry were shrunk) and pandora is in Magic Kaito only. I'd be disappointed if suddenly they start to bring supernatural things other than the ones already shown.

I don't think it's far-fetched to think that he moved into that kid's house diguised as a graduate student to be close to Haibara since she mentioned that that kid's house was close to her's. What is his perpose then? Double post merged, please edit previous post instead.

The only reason we believe that they are a same person is because Jodie found that the fingerprint on ther father's glasses matched Vermouth's. However, I think it's more likely and realistic if they are different people and Sharon who burned down that house tricked the FBI into thinking that by wiping her prints off of that glasses and put her 9 year old daughter's forged fingerprints on it instead, but made it bigger in size so that they wouldn't think it was from a kid.
