Hey there! I was recently making my own list of Detective Conan episodes to see which ones are un-subbed and such and I used the Episodes list in the Watch section of DCW. I just wanted to point out that episode 97 is incorrectly titled as The Mysterious Woman With Amnesia Case, the title for episode 24. The correct title would be The Farewell Wine Murder Case for that particular episode. Cheers!

Episodes 346 and 347. Find the Buttocks' Mark! FBI asks Haibara to go into their Witness Protection Program, and Haibara refuses. James Black also appears. Also, I don't know if this is important or not, but in episodes 385-387, Dissonance of the Stradivarius Violin, specifically in the Postlude chapter, Conan talks about 0858, the melody behind it (Seven Children) and the Black Organization. Conan eventually figures out the Boss' mail address in 394. I'm only on Episode 394 so I don't know if it has further relevance to the main storyline.

Oh, it's a fun language to learn! My sister and I are learning it, which makes it all the more fun for me cause then we can speak it and our parents wouldn't understand us, lol. I'm still a beginner, but I can understand basic stuff. My parents really don't think highly of learning Korean and Japanese--they say I'd get more from learning Romance languages, which is why I took Spanish in school--but I really like to learn Asian languages seeing as I'm Asian myself and I'd definitely want to visit South Korea and Japan sometime soon, so knowledge of those languages would totally help.

Episodes 335 and 336. Secret of the Touto Film Making Centre. Episodes 338 and 339. Four Porsches. Akai Shuichi and Jodie Saintemillion appear. Episodes 340 and 341. The Secret Hidden in the Bathroom. Some background information about Shiho Miyano's (Ai Haibara) family. Vermouth also makes a small appearance. Episodes 343 and 344. The Convenience Store Trap. New development as Shinichi finds out someone has been going to his house. Ran also finds pictures of her, Conan and Shinichi inside Jodie's bathroom. Episode 345. Head-to-Head Match With the Black Organization; Two Mysteries of the Night of the Full Moon. This episode gives a kind of recap of the important events that happened during the previous episodes, from episode 335 until 344, so even if you skip the episodes above, you'll still be able to see what happened before this episode.

Interesting theory, I like it. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes that kind of ending for DC, and it would definitely shock the BO members--I'd love to see Gin's face when he thinks they've won and then Shinichi would show up unharmed. XD That's a good idea. Who do you think would fit the Boss role? I don't want to dismiss the theory that Professor Agasa is the Boss, since that's a really plausible idea. How about Shinichi's father, Yusaku Kudo? His deductive skills are most of the time superior to his son's, and that's a trait that is required of a Boss figure. Hmmm...I think should watch more episodes before I go on with these theories.

Oh, not quite. I haven't progressed much with self-studying, to be honest. I studied Spanish before (in school), and am studying Korean as well, so I haven't had much time with Japanese--and studying Kanji kills, so I can only write in (and understand) Hiragana and Katakana for now as well as a few Kanji, which is why I want to study it in a classroom with a proper teacher. I get distracted easily, so I've had little progress in the few months I've been studying it. =_= (Oh, and sorry if our little discussion here is way off-topic! ^^)

Hmm...I actually haven't given this much thought before seeing as I was still so far from the current episodes being released in Japan. As of now, I do have a great feeling that Shinichi will end up dead. I don't want to be too depressing, but I really feel that although Shinichi's really smart and he's been getting closer to the Black Organization (I'm only in the 300s since I rewatched everything, and I've stopped reading the manga), the members of the BO are smart and can only get smarter. I don't think Aoyama's planning on that kind of exit for the series, though, so I think he'll end the series with Shinichi getting his body back--of course, that's the general idea, but he'll execute it perfectly in a very creative and unique way. As for the boss...I really have no theories as of the moment, but I'll share them soon enough once I get to the 500 mark, which hopefully will be in the next few weeks.

Here are two other possible main storyline episodes. Episodes 277 and 278 - English Teacher vs. Great Western Detective. Shows Conan's growing suspicion of Jodie Saintemillion.

Hi again! That would be great! I'm actually doing some self-studying on Japanese language right now and hoping to study the language in a classroom setting next year. I'll be turning to you if I have any questions, ok? I searched for photos of Kanazawa through the net and I could tell just with the pictures that it is indeed a very beautiful place. Oh, and have you gone to Hokuei, Tottori Prefecture? I remember seeing pictures of the Detective Conan statues built there, and I really want to go visit the Gosho Aoyama museum made as a tribute to the success of DC. XD

Episodes 258-259. The Man from Chicago. James Black's first appearance.
-
Episodes 230-231, The Mysterious Passenger. Gin, Vodka and Vermouth appear, and Shuichi Akai's first appearance.
-
His name is Isshin Chiba. He's officially introduced in one of the DC movies, if I'm not mistaken.

I definitely am up to a Shinichi/Ran pairing just like most fans, but I always feel a little giddy with the Conan/Ai (Shinichi/Shiho) pairing. They just seem to fit each other in a different way, and Shiho understands Shinichi in a level that only those who knew their secret would ever understand. ...But I do think that Shinichi will definitely end up with Ran--that or he'll end up dead.

Episodes 226 and 227. First appearance of Jodie Saintemillion/Starling.

Oh wow, from Japan! I've always wanted to go there. XD Whereabouts in Japan are you? And your English is really good, so don't worry too much about it. Welcome to DCW, by the way!

My thoughts exactly. It's a pretty sad look on what could happen. I found it to be so depressing even if it was just a mere dream and everything in the OVA ended happily. As to the people who knew about his real identity, I think they'd be saddened by the realization that he'd remain in his younger self, especially Agasa, who knew about him being Conan first and foremost. Hattori has always seemed to be sympathetic of Shinichi's dilemma, so I know it'd be such a shame for him, since he saw Shinichi more as a partner and friend rather than a rival, and of course he'd want to rise up with Shinichi in the detective sphere of crime investigation. As for the Kudo's, I think they'd feel sorry for their son, but they offered Shinichi a new start in America before, right? It's an interesting OVA, definitely. It was truly fantastic to see the Detective Boys grow up and Sonoko sporting a kind of different hairstyle. I would hope that Ran would stop waiting for Shinichi after ten years, but yeah...her loyalty and faith in Shinichi is a bit over the top. :|

I think OVA 9's not supposed to be out until the 27th, but leaks have been released all over the net around 2 weeks or so ago. I couldn't help myself and watched it unsubbed on YouTube the day after it was leaked. XD Has anyone else watched it? If so, what are your thoughts about it?
-
I'm not too sure about this, but as far as I know it was already released in Europe last May. For the US release, I was a bit confused since I found some sites saying it's expected to be out later this year, but it says here that it was already released in April. :|

If this were real life, I would totally not want to be caught up with Conan/Shinichi, but the little adventurous side of me would want to be a part of his little gang, much like what the Detective Boys are to Conan. I always laugh whenever Inspector Megure would comment on Mouri being a prime witness at the crime scene. XD

Hi! I'm Kat, and welcome to DCW! You're a Rurouni Kenshin, Detective Conan, Fullmetal Alchemist fan--and a fanfiction writer to boot? I think we're gonna get along really well. XD Hope to see you around!

I read at least the first 10 volumes of the manga since my best friend collects them. I gotta say, reading the manga is just as frustrating as watching the anime series if you're only relying on the licensed mangas and DVDs in English--I think only 24 or so volumes of the manga have been released by Viz in comparison to around 60 volumes of the Japanese tankoubons released, which is why my best friend switched to ordering Japanese tankoubons after finishing her Japanese courses. Anyway, because I watched the series before I read the mangas, I favor the anime a little more than the manga. It feels weird to see Ran sporting a somewhat different hairstyle in the first few volumes (as far as I can remember), and Kogoro looks a bit different. The quality of the storytelling and the cases themselves, however, are still pure gem, obviously, and although you can't actually see Conan in action, the manga is still very engaging--and that's what's important, really. XD

Episodes 188 to 193 (The Desperate Revival).
-
Episodes 176 to 178 (Meeting With The Black Organization Again - 3 parts).

Oh, alright then. I just finished watching OVAs 1-7 and a leaked version of the unreleased OVA 9 (eep, I only found out it was leaked after I watched it =_=). They're incredibly fun to watch, especially the 9th one.

Are you planning on putting the OVAs in the Watch section as well? OVAs are really lighthearted, in my opinion, somewhat of a breather after watching 50+ episodes all on murders.
