LOL. I completely forgot how fun it was to watch the series, so all I've been doing these days is watch DC. My sister says I've gone addicted to it, but she can't really understand. XD I'm currently watching the movies and OVAs first, but then I'll get back to watching the regular series. I'm already in Season 6, which is amazing, given that I started from scratch just this summer. Oh, and do you know where I can watch a subbed version of the Detective Conan vs. Lupin III special aired last March? I'm also quite a fan of Lupin, so I'd love to see that special episode. EDIT: I already found it. XD

My favorite will always be Step by Step, the first ending theme for Conan.

I'm partial to Shinichi, of course. NOT Conan (I see them as different entities even when they're actually the same person), just Shinichi, which is why I'm ecstatic whenever Conan goes back to his seventeen-year-old form. I dunno, it's just frustrating to see Conan doing underhanded stuff just to solve the case, instead of being out in the open just like when he was Shinichi. Also, I dislike that Kogoro gets all the credit for what he's been doing. And I think Conan would want to get his body back too, wouldn't he? Ai Haibara is another one of my favorites. I love her nonchalant attitude and her certain interest with Shinichi, PLUS the fact that she's a great addition to the Detective Boys. XD

It's...cold? LOL. It's not so cold here in California anymore (at least not where I am), but I clearly remember my first thought when I left the airport was that it was cold--and I come from a hot, tropical country, so I definitely can tell the difference! The US is OK for me so far, thanks for asking. I've visited the country quite a few times before I moved since my mom lives here, so I never experienced culture shock or anything...although, I still can't get over the fact that a regular-sized Coke in McDonald's here is equal to a large-sized drink back home. XD

I'm rewatching earlier episodes as well, so I think I can be of some help to this list. Episodes 128 (The Black Organization: 1 Billion Yen Robbery Case) and 129 (The Girl from the Black Organization and the University Professor Murder Case - 2 hour special). I'll keep suggesting episodes once I come across them.

Thanks. I hope I survive my way into med school. Yes, I watch House! It's an unbelievably cool show, and House's antics are just hilarious. Medical dramas like House sure help in widening my knowledge, since I try to research and know more about the diseases and interesting stuff they have on each episode. Not to mention they're fun to watch. DC in Tagalog? It's pretty much ok, the dubbing's actually good and they kept the names of the characters. I generally like subs better than dubs in almost everything I watch, though...it makes things seem more authentic, which is why I kind of don't like the FUNimation dub. :| But because I want to support them, I still buy the English releases. XD

Heee~ I'll post in mine as well. 1. Flame of Recca - the anime was shorter and didn't contain half the fun that the manga had. 2. Slam Dunk - goes into the Inter-High tournament, which wasn't in the anime. I loved this so much I had to buy a copy of the entire series. XD 3. MARS - I'm a romantic at heart, so I'm attracted to stories like these. And it goes way beyond the typical love story. 4. Rurouni Kenshin - I like this a lot more than the anime series, actually, basically because the drawings are better, I think. And if you want a better grasp of things happening in the storyline of the OVAs (Tsuiokuhen and Seisouhen), you really need to read the manga. And it helps that the drawings are fantastic. XD 5. Kare Kano - another romance, slife-of-life-y kind of story. I've always liked love stories with a lot of psychological stuff blended in. 6. X - Although unfinished, I loved this particular CLAMP work. It's gorgeous (I'm a sucker for great design and character drawings), and the pull of the storyline is not so bad, either. I definitely want to see CLAMP pick this series where they left off and continue it.

Top 5 Animes? Hmm...lemme see... (in no particular order) 1. Detective Conan - umm...why would I be here if I don't think it's awesome? Conan/Shinichi's deductions are always so good, and it's also fun to follow a case and solve the case even before Conan does. XD 2. Slam Dunk - I really don't know why, but I'm incredibly attached to this anime. It's totally hilarious and I just love the characters to bits. 3. Fullmetal Alchemist - awesome storyline, the concept is brilliant, and again, the characters are lovable. 4. Neon Genesis Evangelion - Psychological stuff that I can never wholly understand--a weird reason for loving it, but that's mainly why I watch it over and over again. And I also love the drawings--the Evas are quite fascinating for me to draw, actually. 5. Death Note - Cause it's different in more ways that one. A special recognition goes to: ~ Doraemon - I will never stop loving this blue cat. Ever. The mini-stories are cute and fun and I just love it whenever Doraemon gets a new gadget out of his pocket.

I'll probably major in Nursing or go to Med school, depending on how things turn out. I was majoring in Physical Therapy back in Manila (Philippines), but when I followed my family and migrated to California, I changed my mind about PT. :| My main goal right now is to go to med school, though, although it'll take a LOT of time and effort on my part. I've started re-watching the episodes, and am now in Episode...*checks* 112. I also suggested alternate videos for some of the episodes I watched.

Hi there, Maurice! I would actually love to learn French someday, hence the name. It's cool that you know the language. I'm on vacation as of the moment (it's summer wheee), but yes, I'm a college student right now. And it's basically because of summertime that I have loads of time to rewatch Conan. I do write a bit, but mostly it's fiction, novel-type of stuff, but if ever I get the inspiration to write, I might as well contribute here! Thanks for the warm welcome. I can see that I'm going to enjoy my stay here.

Hi, everyone! I'm originally from the Philippines, but I moved to California a year ago, which is a big, big move, if I do say so myself.

Hmm, seeing as there's still not much on this forum, I decided to say hi. *waves* I'm Kat, 19 years old. I have several pseudonyms in various fandoms and forums, but recently I just use 'la vanille' in forums. I've been a Conan fan ever since 2001, I think, back when I first watched the show dubbed in my country's language. Anime is one of the things that I've brought with me from childhood to adulthood, apart from Harry Potter, books, and the love of writing and drawing. Detective Conan is one of my favorite animes, although I've stopped watching it for a few years due to school and other stuff I became interested in...BUT I've been renewing my love for it by re-watching everything from Episode 1, and that's when I stumbled upon the Free Press Release by Maurice, and I immediately came to this site! Well, that's it! See yah!
