I agree, that was disgusting. I remembered not being able to sleep at night after I watched that episode (I was six, I think?). I also find the case in the Reunion with the Black Organization where the guy got smashed with the chandelier pretty brutal. I would hate to see the body underneath it. O.o

Those are part of what I find annoying about her, but I don't really look Ran as a Mary-Sue. She still has some apparent flaws that sets her apart from your typical "perfect character. " I dislike Ran because she's too naive, and clings to Shinichi too much, but I never really paid attention to the other things you mentioned. You did make some good points though. ^^

Interesting theory, but didn't Gosho mention in an interview that only the Boss's name appeared in the manga, not the actual character? If Agasa were really housing Haibara to make an antidote for Mitsuhiko, why would the Boss send his agents to track down and kill Sherry? Plus, Agasa knows Conan's secret, so I'm surprised Conan hasn't been killed yet if Agasa were really a high-ranking member of the BO. Out of curiosity, has anyone tried making a list of all the names that appeared in the files released before Gosho's interview on the Boss's name?
