with this rare of gift, im sure "someone somewhere" could offer a scholarship. its of course, the last think he'd want, but I find it interesting as it addresses so many issues.

wouldnt it REALLY throw a wrench in conans operations, everything from his autotonamy, he needs to solve cases, on to just about everything else, if Ran, or his teachers, decided he needed to go to private school why do I suggest that. lets see. 3 appearent things. he falls asleep in class, acts visibly and obviously bored. He gets A's on tests anyway and he feels driven to interfere with police work at time,s USUALY doing it better then the police themselvs. iw "He's not feeling challenged enough" a unreasonable assumption hmmn might be a good idea for a fanfic, but am curious why this has never been suggested on the show.

Ran and haibara, are oddly opposite, in how shinichi regards them Ran, he loves, but does not respect. He may respect her as a person,of course, he understands she has feelings, but he doesnt respect her int he sense he truests her with his secret or trust in her professional capabilitys Haibara, he respects, but does not love. He has full confidence in her capabailitys and professionalism, as well as her heartless logic. Yet he has limited capacity for affection for her, and Haibara, Seems to envy rans position. Thoughts and opinions?

I have a book, that that tries to go in depth on the series, it explains that gosho was trying tobe distinctive, because, at the time the manga was started anyway, a large number of jappanese murder mysterys ended with the criminals suicide.

I think its good for a show even the best of shows, to end when its getting repetive, you can only do so much with some things. But I hope they have a "reunion" or "10 years latter" special episode at some point.

dont forget the 5 part thing... forgot its name... where Shinichi changed back for over a day. he'd gotten so Used to his Conan Persona, that he forgot two times, in as many minutes, He greeted the detective boys... who didnt recognize him and he seemed a bit melancholy at it I think

Most of the Victims on Detective conan, are to put it mildly, not wide eyed innocents. they tend to be embezzlers who destroyed the company someone built since he was young, and hoped to retire on, gossip mongerers who ruined marriages or careers, people who commited murder themselves, for no reason at all, or for money, years ago. Etc etc, etc. point is gosho aoyonma goes out of his way to make the murderer a relatively sympathetic person in most cases, and yet, I have never once seen conan express compassion to the murderer, or even consider, for a moment, just letting the person get away. Im not saying its right, but given how vile some of the victims have been, id have been tempted to do so myself. is their something im missing?

I'd go for lovers by the tone of his voice... when he says "sherry" also the betrayal involved in that , would help explain her fear of him, if they'd been lovers, and he murdered her sister. well it would create more ANGER then fear, but shes not the Maniacial rage type.

6 a year younger then he is on the show.

Another thing on yukiko Its dangerous to judge too much based on one or two scenes, (this is where Fanon comes from) but I sometimes get the impression of her having a replacement complex, towards Ran's Role as surrogate parent, that Ran isnt simply replacing her as the most important person to him, that much she could endure, as, as the bible says "for this reason will a man leave his father and his mother..." but replacing her as an authority figure and nurturer. to go on that, I have a variety of things noticible the scene in episode 96 where she was pretty quick to separate him from Ran, first, then, made the fuss over "you can take a bath with Ran but not with me. I know this may be conjecture... but it seems interesting.

Conan seems to take Rans seemingly condenscending attitude pretty hard, and ive noticed, even when he WAS that age, he had a lot of freedom. I mean (forget the episode number) but he was a year younger then he looks now and he was able to go out in the middle of the night to investigate ghost storys at his school, and could have been abducted or who knows what. His punishment. A stiff warning. Yukiko did show she was worried about him to be fair, but way Eri was expressing concern, I have to wonder, how lenient she was. Whereas one of the OVA's I remember how Ran lectured conan on responsible spending.

My favorite idea for an ending, is for conan, to be forced to chose between saving a life, maybe ran's or Haibara's and getting a cure... or maybe the organization has some rare, found no where else ont his planet, ingredient, needed for a cure... and theirs only enough for one of them. so then Haibara and Conan have to decide I think she'd advice conan to take it then, though, because "You have a life to go back to, Kudo-kun, I dont" Call me sappy, but I love the angstier parts of the show.
