DCW IRL Round 12: Distant Reflections Seen Nearby

Stupid, Iyana! That's so obvious! How could they even have a coffee shop here if they didn't drink the poison? That was so random! she scolded herself. Maybe it was her personality. Tasmin put her hand on Iyana's shoulder. It made her feel assured, but it reminded her of her weird memory of the Tasmin-doppelganger with her. She asked a question: "I'm not sure what my memories mean, or what kind of person I was, but if we have a common enemy in the one who brought us here, I'll help... How do we gather our memories and find this person?" Prem followed with another question :"It can't be a coincidence, with a dozen of people out there, only 5 of us get to live... And why are they lying, on one hand they tell us that there is probably 'no way out' and then they tell us about the person who put us here... Are they trying to convince us for something, are we here because of our destiny..?" "We had you drink that to ensure you survive, but we both have another way to adapt to the toxins in the environment. Alita over there has the ability to manipulate precedence, so she simply sets her precedence above the poison." Joshua, the silver-haired guy, explained Precedence? Other ways? Just thinking about it made her head hurt again. "The reason I can't save you all this way...is because I can only manipulate two objects at a time." said Alita "So as you can see, we don't need to drink the poison. In fact, what you all drank wasn't really poison, but a liquid that alters your precedence on the existence scale. I'll spare you the complex theory and explanation: the liquid is basically clouding you from the Rift." continued Joshua. So if people happened to look in here, they wouldn't see us? she thought. Or it's protecting us? He then turned to Prem's question with a raised eyebrow. "There are things I can't tell you. Some because you won't understand, and others," "...because it's confidental information," Alita finished. "Nevertheless, assure yourselves that we are both on your side as long as our interests meet. And that brings me to Tamsin's question." "Leave the perpetrator to us for now. Focus on gaining your memories. I mentioned before that your memories were shattered upon entry into the Rift. When memories exit your mind, they take a form like a yellow crystal like so," he said, holding up a glowing yellow crystal. "The larger the crystal the more memories contained. The brighter, more significant. How you can tell if the memories belong to you, you will feel a sensation. Bring these crystals to me when you find them. And I advise you watch yourselves out there. There are things...that are out for these very crystals. If they get to them before you do, you lose those memories forever. Any other questions?" She stared at the crystal. Maybe...in one of those....she could find out her whole identity, her personality and reasons, like that weird memory. But she pushed that thought away and raised her hand. :So, this is a summary of our messed-up situation: We're from different worlds which don't know about each other, and this Rift is in the center of it. Some girl put us here and took our memories for some reason, and now, we meet you two, who gave us part of our memories back, and you send us out to find it. Am I right?" Iyana spoke with much more steel then what she felt. But she was tired of being embarrassed, and waited for an answer (Question- is the answer Joshua didn't answer mine?) -

WEIRDNESS ALERT 1. My family and I were walking by the sidewalk when we all needed to go to the bathroom. I looked at my right, and saw an airplane . We politely asked the pilot if we could use the bathroom there. When my older sister was using the CR, the plane took off . When Papa asked where we were going, he said "London" . Usually, we travel to London by crossing China and those countries, but this flight took the long way: TRANSPACIFIC. But the plane was fast. We arrived around 5 hours later. (It was so vivid. We were sitting cross-legged to the bare airplane floor watching TV. My sis even smiled as she adjusted her watch coz we were crossing the International Date Line) While the airplane was taxiing, we all jumped off . We rode a red elevator/lift to book another flight back to the Philippines, but it needed 6 hours, so we decided to tour London. Outside the airport, there was a lot of kiddie motorcycle (the small motorcycles that when you press your foot against a certain thing, it moves) My baby bro loves those, so we (my sis, me and my bro) took a ride. This biker lady came up and said in a thick accent: "In that bush maze, collect all the items" Then ll the motors started. I rode into the entrance of the maze, crashed into a bush and 4 other kids, did a double somersault in the air, and landed in my wheels. I revved up the engine, and spent the next 3 (?) hours crashing into random kids and doing double somersaults in the air. Then, my parents called us and we went to Big Ben, taking pics and selfies and all those stuff. We went back to the airport, took the flight (still transpacific) and got back here. As we went inside NAIA, an immigration officer stopped us and asked us the money for the tickets. We said, in unison, "Napa-CR lang naman po kami eh!" ("We just used the CR!"). She let us go, and we went back home. 2. I was in the Hunger Games. It had an opening program , and after that, I left a briefcase in the hall where it was held. My allies were Glimmer (District 1) in a Daisy Duck dress and Thresh (District 11). Nobody was even killed yet when an explosion shook the arena. A random person materialized by the Cornucopia and opened a door out of the arena. He ordered us to line up and go out. We were loaded into a van, with the violinist who performed in the opening ceremony. We were sent to a mall and I found this whole collection of 80's games. There was one: "Secrets o' Magic" where the magician on the screen showed me a lame trick. "THIS IS LAME!!!" I shouted, and someone started shooting rubber arrows at me. It was the magician

Dear someone named Sheila and someone named Ryan, No one deserves to be the Head Admin of the DCG than Martina, the creator of the said group. I heard all your blackmailing to my best friend. Power-hungry much? Will you even care about the members of the group? Will you always find out what's happening to them and break up fights when you are the source of the tension? Sheila, you PMed her to state your interest in becoming an admin. Martina told you that you need to prove yourself to be an admin, to be caring to the members, to be dedicated. You got angry, left and wreaked revenge. You deceived 19 members of the Detective Conan Group and told them how selfish and mean Martina is. You fed them lies about her starting the group to control all 14,000+ members. Where is your proof? Martina left the group because of your blackmailing. You said that you would stop blackmailing her if she left. Faced with no choice, she left the group and explained to her friends Conan, Himitsu and Joshua her situation. Until now, they are still persuading her to come back. I went to her house and gave her advice on how to handle her problem. That's where I learned that you two are of my country! I am so ashamed that Filipinos can resort to such dirty tricks! You are both fans of Detective Conan. Conan taught us never to resort to murder and tricks. Are you even fans of Detective Conan? Martina never wants anyone to be angry with her. She left in peace. She is too scared to stand up to both of you. I'm not. -Her best friend

DCW IRL Round 12: Distant Reflections Seen Nearby

Ah, the pain of being rejected... Iyana saw Misaki and Tasmin's point, but there goes that feeling of crying again. Fortunately, she kept it under control. She was taking another silent inventory again when the cafe appeared. Twelve Kirin Cafe? She didn't exactly feel assured, but stepped through the double doors with her companions. The inside of the store was mostly barren, with a single large round table with chairs around it. On the table there were...cups?. A short red haired teenager was sitting at the table, talking to the silver haired one behind the counter at the back of the room. "It's cruel, you know, even for that guy to turn him into alphabet soup," the girl was saying. The other one shrugged his shoulders and replied, "I guess it's a cruel and unusual punishment. That's why it fits him." Him? The silver haired one turned his attention to your group, and gestured to the table. "It's ready for you." She really didn't trust this place, but since everyone was sitting don, she also did . For a moment, everyone was silent, then the girl spoke up, "You should probably drink that before it gets too cold." Iyana peered inside the cup in front of her A black, steaming liquid was sloshing inside. As much as she didn't like the flow of events, she was thirsty, and this was better than nothing. She sipped the black liquid. Suddenly, her head felt like an arrow was piercing it. Yellow spots danced in front of her eyes, and it took all of her might not to scream, Then, her mind cleared. "What you drank right now was a kind of poison. In larger doses it would've killed you. Luckily, none of you decided to down the whole cup, though I imagine you will all be a bit nauseous for a while," the silver-headed one explained Her violet irises widened. She looked at the others, and saw her own shock mirrored back at her. "Fight poison with poison. The Rift, where you are right now, is poisonous. Stay too long and you melt, you know." She paused for a moment. "Right now you should be fine," the red haired girl continued. Rift.... Why did that seem familiar? The people continued talking, but she tuned out, and flashes of random events went through her head: a small forest, riding a small tablet through the air, herself dropping to her knees and crying, and the most horrible one: a smaller her, running for her life in a white hallway with a girl who looked like Tasmin. Crimson filled the memory, and she was jolted back to current events. "Yes, and you should feel lucky we managed to get to you before you all died. I think this is a good time for introductions. I go by Joshua and the girl there is Alita. I'm just a simple coffee shop owner." said the boy. The events went by in a blur. Her companions expressed their frustration, but only one caught her attention: Alice's explanation of what she thought about this. "The Rift," She said. "Each thing here is infinite, and from here you can look at any point in the universe, in any universe. Get what I mean?" Alice casually slipped a hand in her hip-pocket as they digested the information. "The to imagine a ball of yarn. Now, in its center there is a hollow space around which the thread is wrapped around. You can make the ball as big as you want or as small, but the space exists, if only merely, and the threads which go round it are all vast dimensions, and each thread consists of several strands, presenting an alternate reality for each of the universes. The rest- uh I'm not really sure, I'm not so smart...I think even my given explanation is flawed but the point is, we've somehow ended up here and they-" She pointed to Alita and Joshua. "Were kind enough to let us live and now we have to help them get whoever threw us here in the first place, right?" She silently stared at her hair, twisting her hair around her finger. "Did you drink the poison too?" she asked. EDIT: Oh, sorry. "You" means Joshua and Alita, if you were confused
