I don't think they're related though, despite how much Conan and Shuichi were practically on the same wavelength during the 'Clash of Red and Black' arc, they would have recognized each other. If there is something going on with the Akai family that is part of a bigger part of the story, I just want to know if Shinichi and his family are connected. Also, did anyone else notice how fast Okiya came to the conclusion that Conan was Shinichi, the same with Masumi? Just a thought.

If the Boss was really Shinichi's dad, that would be awkward and saddening. Although Gosho Aoyama said he would have a happy ending to his series, there is a chance that it could be him.

I was thinking the same thing about Akai's father, all we know is that he's dead and his second son looks like him. Maybe if the father had a connection with the BO, it could be the reason why the family moved to America and changed their name and maybe he only told Shuichi since Masumi didn't seem to be aware of them or the other agents. There is something else I have been thinking of, when Ran mentioned when she looked at Masumi she thought of waves, Shinichi's parents have been living in LA, a city by the ocean, right? This may be a long shot, but what if Yusaku and Yukiko know the family. Yusaku did mention have connections in law enforcement agencies, why not the FBI and it would explain how Conan was able to convince his mom to help with faking Akai Shuichi's death.

I wonder if someone did make a list of all the names mentioned in the first twelve Detective Conan chapters, how many names would that be anyway?

What if its something like 'the truth is always out there, you just need to take a look at all the possibilities no matter how impossible or bizarre they appear to be'.

Vermouth in the series always kind of looks sad, like she doesn't care if something happens to her, maybe that's why she is letting Conan to look as deep as he wants into the Organization without actively stopping him. Maybe she was an original subject for a project relating to immortality and that's why she maintains her youthful appearance.

I think there might be a deeper connection between Shinichi/Conan and the Akai family. Think about it Shuichi Akai was in New York the same time Shinichi and Ran were, Conan and Ran both believe they met Masumi before, and now it seems the middle Akai brother has met Shinichi before as well. Now in the series it is possible all three of the siblings are in Japan and have met Conan at some point. I just think there might be a deeper connection with the family and Shinichi, I don't know what that is, but a lot of paths that Conan/Shinichi cross lead back to the one of the Akai siblings.

If Akai is revealed to still be alive, I want to know how he and Conan faked his death with a limited amount of time for planning while Kir was under so much surveillance from the BO and how it was hidden from the FBI so well.

If the Boss knows about Conan then I wonder why he hasn't revealed it to the other BO members yet, unless he is someone who is close to Conan and whats to see how far he can go.

Yeah, but what kind of situation would lead Gin to Conan?

Then again a child detective is strange for anyone and would be disproved when they meet Conan.

While I want both Haibara and Kir to survive until the end, I think the one who would end up dead is Kir. Vermouth suspected her early on of being a spy, idk if she knows she's CIA, but its only a matter of time before the others catch on as well, especially if proof that Akai is still alive is still out there

Gosho Aoyama does a good job of that, making new allies appear to be enemies at first glance then wham! the moment of revelation has them being good guys and help defeat the real bad guys in the end. Best example I believe is Subaru Okiya, all us readers were lead on into thinking he was Bourbon from the clues that made sense at the time, but in comes the mystery train arc and wham! again, his eyes look exactly like Shuichi Akai's. I'm betting revealing Okiya is Akai will be the wham!, but i wonder if he will add in a new ally with the early suspicions of being an enemy, maybe that will be the middle Akai brother, who we haven't seen yet.

Well being a little kid does provide the perfect cover for Conan to investigate them, after all the BO would be looking for an adult to see who was messing with them. During the Kir arc, no one even thought that Ran or Conan could have placed that bug on her shoe. Well when Gin gave the order to shoot both Kogoro and Conan, he was suspicious of Conan being there at the exact time to stop it, although he has seen Conan before the bullet train he and Vodka delivered a bomb. If he sees Conan as a part of a case connected with the BO it might raise his suspicions about who he is even more.

Yeah we all know what happens when you kick a hornet's nest, you get stung hard. I'm just speaking hypothetically but what do you think would happen while on a case someone dials the number right in front of Conan and company, think he might try to intercept it.

I'm guessing Camel might be feeling guilty I mean his accidentally exposing the stakeout resulted in Akai being exposed and the events that lead to Akemi Miyano's death. About the 'not forgetting an old enemy's face', I still don't know about that. Now in the series it seems like he's always the one accidentally getting involved with murder cases and hiding the true reason the FBI is in Japan. However if someone did infiltrate the FBI I'm betting Akai would have know right away, he and Conan.

Come to think of it I wonder why the FBI and CIA haven't checked out the number since she has it, what if they tried tracing it but it hasn't come up anywhere, like a blocked number. I'm betting sometime soon Conan will become curious about the number and send a message, he really wants to bring these guys down and the boss's number is the only link at his disposal.

Maybe hearing the truth about the identity of Scar Akai will bring her back to her old self, she was extremely angry after hearing it was really Bourbon.

Well Irish appeared in the movies so technically he's noncanon, unless there will be a new Irish in the series. Although I am kind of glad Pisco died, he knew what APTX did to Sherry and even saw her transform back into Ai. Also he saw Conan, so there is a chance that he or one of the other Organization memebers could put Conan and Shinichi together and kill Conan.

I would have liked to see more of Pisco as well, he not only occupied the fundraising branch of the Organization, but he appears to the be one of the oldest members, the info he had would have provided more into the Black Organization, especially what APTX was originally used for and possibly what happened to Shiho's parents, and maybe even the real identity to Anokata. Tequilla as well since he seemed to be a part a of the computer program the Organization wanted, and I would want to see how it plays in with the story. Plus since he seems to be from the Kansai region, there's a chance that there were BO crimes committed in Osaka and the surrounding area, letting Heiji play a bigger part in the story. Calvados, well we didn't exactly see him, just an outline of a human body with a sniper's rifle, I would have liked him to take a bigger part in the story.

So basically as long as Conan doesn't contact the Boss he and everyone around him remains safe and the investigation will keep going on slowly, so basically all knowing the boss's phone number did for Conan was a way to identify their agents based on the sound of the keys pushed. You know I heard that there was a way for people to clone other's phones so that all information, including incoming calls and messages shows up on the cloned phone the owner knowing. Maybe Conan and try cloning Bourbon or one the members phones so that he intercepts the incoming and outgoing calls. Or find some way to covertly intercept the BO's messages.

I have thought about that and another thought. What if Anokata is really a high ranking member of the American government or has some ties to the government? Similar to Professor Moriarty, Holmes' nemesis. I guess you can say Anokata is the DC equivalent of Moriarty.

Lets just say that should the BO find out Conan really is Shinichi and decide to kill him then they would need to kill the Professor, the Mouris, Sonoko, the Detective Boys, most of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, the Hattoris, Kazuha, the Osaka Police Department, not to mention the police officers from the different prefectures, and maybe just about anyone Conan had contact with. Cleaning up will attract a lot more attention than covering up, especially with the mass murder of cops.
