  1. wrong thread to be addressing this issue... and anyway, it's already been addressed elsewhere on the forums and on the site as a whole
  2. this should really have just been tacked on to your post in the other thread...
  3. that is a really good picture ...you might want to fix up the text, though (the song title is in that line, and even it's not spelled well)
  4. please don't post links directly to videos... I worry that we'll run into problems again if we're not careful if you really want that badly to share with us, you can post the link to your profile, and then people can go to the video from there thanks
  5. any bookstore that carries manga should have it... I live in the US, and I tend to prefer Borders over Barnes and Noble
  6. there's already a thread for movie 14, so this one will be locked sorry
  7. that is kinda funny I think it'd be more appropriate in the "fanfiction" section, though
  8. there's a better explanation in the wiki, but it basically boils down to there being legal issues with the naming conventions... unfortunately, it spread to the main characters too, and most of the side characters through episode 50-something since they had to make the changes for one (the anime), they had to extrapolate the changes for the manga and movies as well
  9. there are only 33 volumes so far in English
  10. I still don't think that's a good idea... generally, whether we're doing the hosting, or whether we're just linking, it could still run into a legality trap
  11. wow... I hope it'll be an adaptation of the beginning of the manga (some of the manga stories were adapted into episodes that became DC OVA's)
  12. welcome to DC World, I hope you enjoy your stay! apparently, "go to the forums" was too vague... there's an entire thread about the video situation in the news section, and basically it says that videos have been disabled until further notice (although the list of titles was brought back because it seemed like the nice thing to do - there were a few days when that section was completely void of content) I personally would put my foot down if we ever even thought about providing subscription content
  13. you're welcome... you could have just clicked "edit" instead of making the second one, though
  14. I can delete your goofed post
  15. I would discourage this suggestion, mostly for the same reason that the video links have been taken down I think that manga chapter titles (and other manga-related information) are available in the wiki, though
  16. yeah, I'm enjoying it. I got busy, though, so I had to set it aside... but I have every intention of going back to it
  17. I fully agree. and... I'm moving this topic to the "anime" section

    I have a code here

please stop apologizing for not having good English 1) your English isn't as bad as you think it is; 2) people are going to get bored and/or annoyed with the repetitive apologies on topic, I don't know binary, so unfortunately I can't solve your riddle

    Hi DCW

    welcome to DC World!!
  20. I have a lot of anime music in my library, and even though I don't usually remember what the lyrics mean (my Japanese isn't very good), I like the melodies... and I know that the lyrics usually have something to do with the show they're associated with, so between those things they always remind me of what show they're from. One of the greatest things I've found about anime music, is that it's introduced me to J-pop and J-rock... because of anime, I've become a fan of TWO-MIX, and FLOW, and enjoy others like The Pillows, Asian Kung Fu Generation, and Yoko Kanno [on a point of information regarding the words "song" and "poem", they're both represented by the same word in Hebrew - "shir"]
  21. welcome to DCWorld! feel free to browse the site and make yourself at home
  22. my first exposure to DC was thanks to Adult Swim, oddly enough. I think I'd heard of it before, but when they started airing this thing called "case closed" when I was a sophomore in university, I had to check it out with a couple of my roommates. I immediately fell in love with Aoyama-san's art style, and became rooted in the story. Some time after that, I picked up my copy of the first volume of the manga, and as they say the rest is history. Of course, when I got started it was already 2004, so I had a long way to go to get caught up to the current episodes I watched the first 50 or so when it aired, and then passed the 100 mark later. After that, I set the anime aside, and stuck to the manga, movies, and OVA's, until I found places online that were streaming the series. I think it was last summer, when I finally got myself caught up as for how it affected other aspects of my life... I don't really think it did (since I was already in university), except that it showed me how interested I am in procedural-type stories, and it helped me to think outside the box a little more.
