it's not the linking of the videos that's the problem, it's the fact that we were collecting them in the first place into a single database... if it were just about the links, then I'd agree with you, but the problem is bigger than that

unfortunately, I don't know where it's specifically sold in the UK, but I know in the US there are some brick-and-mortar bookstore chains that carry it, so I'd venture to guess that if you know a bookstore that has any manga at all, it's probably there. if that doesn't work, you could always try Amazon. the US translation of Detective Conan is called "Case Closed"

I picked up a copy of "Hotel Dusk" last week, and am on chapter 2... it's pretty interesting so far, and a lot more challenging than Professor Layton

those pages are awesome! I've been thinking that I should update my post at the top of this thread on another note, with the bonus images from the manga... I wonder if we could have an article just about Conan's head from the spine of each volume. some of the sequences show a little story, and it's actually pretty funny to see them all lined up next to each other

it is in fact a self-caricature, but I didn't look in the mirror while drawing, it was from memory (it's actually the main character of a webcomic I'm attempting on-and-off... I don't actually wear my hair like that, and my earrings are smaller)... I never really thought about what the earrings are made of, perhaps metal or femo or plastic

the only one I know for sure is that movie 3 is some time after episode 129, since it's the first movie Haibara appears in... the first two are (obviously) before that the OVA's don't fit into the schedule at all, regardless of release dates... and magic files 2 and 3 are associated with movies 12 and 13, respectively, although I don't think it matters whether they're watched before or after their movie
