I didn't get anything, because it's not my holiday... but my parents did new cell phones for Chanukah this year!

I've read a lot of fics where people think Haibara will decide not to take the cure in the end, to give herself a second chance at a normal life (or something like that)... Shinichi will take it, of course, since his was forced on him, but I kinda agree with all those fic writers in thinking Haibara will stay with the group

E.B.O.N.Y. - The Weirdest Riddle Game on the Internet!
Southpaw replied to yura.tsuki's topic in Forum games
I foolishly clicked on this too close to midnight last night, and ended up going to sleep well after 1 am... and I only got to level 7 or 8 -
I had to look that one up... I don't remember the answer, but I'll turn on my game to see if I can remember [edit] okay... I'm gonna give you a hint (but not tell the answer, because that would be cheating!)... turn your DS 90 degrees counter-clockwise, and look at the frog as a whole... it might also help if you hold it at arms length, so you don't see as much detail [/edit]

I've seen both parts of the DC live drama, as well as two of the DeathNote live movies, and they were all good... well, I think the DC dramas were kinda over the top, and I was a little sad that they dubbed over the kids' voices in the second one... I've also watched part of the Gokusen live drama... I intend to get back to it eventually, but I don't know how soon

I did hear about the movie, and I'm incredibly curious about it... I hope they do it properly! as for the next game(s) being brought over, I might know at least part of why it's taking so long: I remember reading somewhere that they mixed and matched puzzles in the first two games for the non-Japanese audience... so they're probably working on figuring out what puzzles to include in the next one, and whether they need to write any new ones. I'm still working through the weekly puzzles from "Diabolical Box" in the mean time

it's a classic device in manga/anime that anyone who squints is suspicious... Hattori Heizo aside, of course so I had the same hesitation as Ai, when we first saw Subaru-san
-
...that's not news... I don't know about anyone else, but I knew about this for a good long while
-
I've played the first two volumes of Professor Layton, and I agree - they're awesome... actually, there's a third one that I hope will also be translated, and supposedly a fourth one in the works
-
some of the cases from Magic Kaito show up a little tweaked in the DC OVA's I've read some of Magic Kaito, but it's tough to find scanlations of it because of how obscure it is
-
I think I remember reading somewhere that since the movies aren't actually canon to the manga, it's entirely likely that this little detail isn't in fact true
-
I would look for the original... if I could read Japanese... for the record, the name changes for the English translation really piss me off... but I value being able to understand what I'm reading too much to go for another version
-
that's awesome that your parents gave you money that you used to buy manga! I didn't start buying manga (from any series) until I was in university, so technically my parents paid for some of them... but they didn't know it

this topic already exists in another section, and will now be locked... sorry

Case Closed Movies Three, Four, Five, and Six Announced
Southpaw replied to Napshot64's topic in Movies and OAVs
I would venture to guess that most of us have seen most of the series... this thread refers to the official American releases by FUNimation, which lag considerably behind the Japanese (and fansub) releases -
she feels an odd "pressure" from everyone who's associated with the syndicate, so while it's a possibility that it's him, I don't think that's a valid explanation for why

hi there... i'm detective tsue~kun

welcome to DC World! Feel free to make yourself comfortable -
so... when I initially noticed the change, I'd only seen the front page and the forums... I hadn't looked at any of the "watch" pages yet and the verdict is: I love the new format! the "watch" pages look great the one thing I'd suggest is putting full news stories back on the front page
-
I think I like it better now than I did last night... had a little time to get used to it and stuff
-
I pulled that answer completely out of my rear, just so you know... but after looking for main story elements at the end (as is occasionally the case, and more common in later episodes), it's the only thing I can think of
-
I'm guessing it might be included because that's where we find out that Mitsuhiko decides he likes Ai
-
I was just wondering how everyone feels about Kogoro's new actor, Rikiya Koyama. We've now seen two episodes with him, and while he's certainly no Kamiya-san, he does seem to be gradually easing into the role... I didn't really like him at all in the first one, but he's growing on me a little after the second one. thoughts?

welcome to the party! *ahem* anyway, yeah, welcome to DC World feel free to make yourself comfortable and join in the conversations

[it just occurred to me that since this thread has to do with DC, it'd be more appropriate to be listed in the "General DC" section, rather than being isolated in the chatroom]
