so how does this work now? are you writing a script? if you are, make sure you have a few options, because people speak at different paces, and they have to at least come close to matching the "lip flaps" Also... I'm in crunch-time right now for summer cons, so I can't really do anything until after Otakon

I absolutely love how many people have DC/MK images set as their wallpaper and to the other Mac user: I'm running Leopard, so I could tell you have an older version... mind if I ask which one? (I haven't been a Mac person long enough to be able to tell them apart)

here's mine... a friend drew it based on an unfinished story she and I came up with and yeah, I'm on a Mac... so sue me... when I needed a new computer, PCs were all being built with Vista (blech) I currently have four "spaces" available to me, but I'm only using two of them... so this picture is of one of the ones that doesn't have active programs open

the first and third one were, but the second one included Shinichi and Shiho as children... although they turned back (and later reverted) over the course of the story. So as not to goof it up too much, Takayama-san and Hayashibara-san dubbed over the two child-forms' voices, respectively. the first live-action ran right up to the beginning of the animated series, so we did see the Detective Boys from the back and heard them dubbed over as well. I personally anticipate the upcoming series not including any of the children... they probably got a really negative reaction for doing what they did in the second special

this goes back to the timeline issue, I think... even though not much story-time has passed during all of this real-world-time, Aoyama-sensei has been quoted saying that he draws whatever season is outside his window... I'm fairly certain this extends to technology as well, so even if her cell phone plan didn't say it was time for an update, Aoyama-sensei would have given her better technology anyway (hence why Conan's bento box/ fax machine only showed up once in the entire series)

why do you feel the need to catch up? isn't it more valuable to the forums for everyone to be making meaningful posts?

OVAs are usually regular-episode-length stories... the thing they have in common is that they went straight to home video without being aired on TV there have been three live-action specials so far, two with a particular cast, and one with a different cast... there is also a live action series starting in July, which will have the same base cast as the third special in addition to the animated series, movies, and OVAs, there are also magic files. the first magic file did not contain any new content - it was simply a collection of prior episodes, which were able to be tied to movie 11. every magic file after that collected old cases, but also included a new story specifically related to movie 12, 13, 14, 15, respectively
