Yeah... "Aye Sir" like the people in Army or Navy reply to their bosses... Haibara has a bossy personality after all
-
A few suspects... 1) Fusae Campbell -- Very wealth middle aged person who may be looking for a chance to revert her age and resume the relationship with a younger (or even child) version of Professor. Haibara says that the BO members have a scent... in addition the organization had chemical facities among other kind of business. Both facts may be hints that BO should be somehow the reason or success of Fusae brand (or vice versa -- the profits from brand being used to finance the BO). Last but not least Aoyama Sensei said that "That Person" should be someone who is not Professor Agasa, but shock Haibara. 2) Jirokichi Suzuki - Very wealth but aged man who is proud of his achievements (world's records) may be looking for a chance to revert his age and once again break more records as when he was young. It's a fact that Jirokichi does not care about spending huge sums of money in order to be in the first page of a newspaper. Since he is a relative of Sonoko, and more than acquaintance of the Detective Boys and Mouri family, he may be "That Person" who will shock Haibara when the actual identity is revealed. The common point is that those two travel a lot and may be ruthless, motivated by the desire to get younger. It's very unlikely that "The Kudos" or even Sonoko's father would take such extreme measures to revert back to youth and even to increase their respective fortunes.

Agree with A.Haibara. Plot is reasonable but I have the weird sensation that many things are out of correct place! Among the cast members, the actor who plays Kogoro was a good choice. However they simply "forgot" to customize the hairstyles of other characters. Ran without her trademark "ahoge" (the pointy hair)... unacceptable. Sonoko's hair is too long (couldn't they select one actress with Chanel style hair at least?) In other hand haircut used by Kisaki Eri's is too short... Maybe actual intention of the producers was create a DC "tokusatsu"... You may know that for Japanese Otaku, the worst are the effects... the better! Like Godzilla stepping over the hot wheels die cast models

Aye sir! I don't dare to disagree with someone whose name is A.Haibara. Consequences may be "scary".... as we can see in the end of Chapter 598. Hikari Chan -- Yes, although almost unknown here DC has some fans like me. Thanks for the welcome message! Hi, thanks for the welcome msg! I swear that I'll do my best! But as Shinichi always says to Ran "Well... I'm busy with some cases, so you had not heard about me lately" (just kidding!)

Yes, Kogoro does know! Here is my deduction... - The stun gun wristchwatch does instantly knock out. It's a fact! - In some cases, Conan even asked somebody else (usually Takagi) to reconstruct complex crime scenes, which requires time to have people and materials gathered. - Kogoro is not a short man so his weight would exceed 120 pounds (55kg) - Conan's weight should be around 1/3 of Kogoro's (otherwise a thin girl like Ran would be unable to carry him so easily) - In episode 345 Vermouth shot Conan with his own stun gun and he was awake when Vermouth was leaving Tokyo in route 20 (which would take one in worst case one 70 munites from Yokohama Harbour) by considering the incident has occurred during late night, with no traffic - So... the effect of stun gun in Kogoro should last no more than 20 minutes. Conclusion -- If Conan's deduction is a very simple one (I mean, just verbalizing the facts)... Kogoro would be really sleeping all time. But in few cases which Conan spend a lot of time... the effect would be weakened so he is most likely pretending to sleep. Only flay in my deduction may be in case Conan has a second needle to knock him out again. But I've never seen a second use of the wristeatch in any movie, chapter of file!

I recall that in one of Aoyama Sensei's interview he told that "the end" would be a happy one. For most fans it means just the end of B.O., Conan back to adult form and last but not least Shinichi and Ran together. But since Haibara is the author "right arm" she certainly will be awarded with a happy end too... One remote possibility -- Haibara would end with Conan... despite loving Ran, the shrunken form of Shinichi has blushed sometimes when dealing with Haibara. Something that never happened with other woman close to him in DC !

Hello! Thanks for the greetings! I'm not a big fan of soccer as most of citizens are ... however it's impossible to do not get into the good mood since this is the event of this century Hope this event cheer up and helps most of the Brazilians. Many things which needed to be fixed (e.g subway expansions and new stadiums) and also crime prevention are improving ! P.S. Ms. Haibara -- DC is highly addictive. There is no need to become otaku, but by personal experience I'd say that adoring DC is half way to become one. When you realize that watching or reading is not enough... it's too late (just kidding).

Far from saying that Ran sucks, Shiho would be a better fellow to Shinichi. Ran is a kind hearted girl who would become a typical house wife after getting married with Shinichi. In other hand, Haibara is the person which can really complete Shinichi... she is sharp, is able to contribute with his (or Conan's -- doesn't matter) deductions and know how to really tease him. Besides, she would be a nice wife too (animal lover, knows how to help wish domestic duties) and has a taste for brands and fashion which makes her a good companion for Shinichi when showing off during deductions !

"Lupin III vs. Detective Conan: The Movie" News and Discussion
Pilaf replied to Akazora's topic in Movies and OAVs
It is a must for any DC fan! Much better than the previous special Only advice I give... you may get annoyed with the slapstick comedy which came from Lupin series. In more than 700 anime chapters and 17 movies it´s the first time I saw scenes in DC which I could say.... oh no! Too surreal that... as Conan Says "something is out of place". Watch and pay attention! -
It's a tough question... all of them are excellent! I personally prefer movies which show the development of DC characters and follow the original manga Countdown to Heaven and The Private Eyes Requiem are my choices, because they rely on deductions... with a little use of the gadgets. Lately the DC movies are turning into Hondou (Bondou... Bond, you know...) movies with excessive action.

My deduction... she will... - Be seriously injured during a fight with BO - Wake up to find out that her nightmare is over, in th last file and anime chapter - Get acquitted of her crimes given the circunstances and given the name Haibara Ai as part of program protection for former criminals - Choose to remain in her child form after she recovers from injuries - Continue living with Professor (her father lately) and not engaged - Be willing to grow together with Ayumi, Genta and Mitushiko as Haibara. Bottom line... she will finish the long process of turning black to grey and finally to white.

Have you noticed that DC is "timeless"? Almost twenty years ago, mobiles were bricks, cars were all round and Professor's computer had a huge CRT monitor. with a blink of eyes, you can jump straight to the latest file or anime episode... Smartphones and notebooks will certainly appear, but the feeling you have is that both cases occurred in a time space fo two weeks. Don't you feel the same curiosity about the end!? Don't you think... no matter the B.O. arc is finished, DC should continue!? Will you miss DC if it is ended? So... those arer my motivations to still read the files and watch the anime every week.

Indeed Haibara Ai. She has the same intelligence as Shinichi, frquently is a key person to allow Conan to save the day Most importantly... Conan once said "you are not my assistant... you are my partner!"

Hello I'm from Sao Paulo, Brazil. A 39 years engineer who is somehow the typical Japanese otaku. Some may find strange a person with my age still watching DC.... but as Mouri Sensei says SHIKASHI! (but)... DC Conan started airing almost twenty years ago. MOSHIKASHI-TE (who knows) there other members like me... or like Vermouth. Lately the anti aging creams are very efficient! Best regards
