I guess it brings more light to the table, if RUM is only second to BO Boss. Then who's ranked the same as Gin and Vermouth, since the BO is older than a half a century, I assume that they are a large organization to have all that many and crimes and research facilities. So normally an organization that big needs to have many members as well, and since it is a company like hinted by Gosho -san. I'm very curious who is higher in ranks than Gin and Vermouth other than RUM and Anokata..

Mine as well

Well I did mention it is purely assumption of mine rather than a solid statement, It's presumed that this the intended audience but you can't force the intended audience to watch and so an alternate audience is brought up. So basically we're both right and wrong depends on the edge from which you try to think about the intended audience. Needless to say, don't bother about the audience but about your personal satisfaction of the series rather than that of others.

My favorite animes of all time:- (not necessarily in the order) 1. Detective Conan: Because it's the first one for me at age 4, plus the mysteries the deductions and the story line that is simply remarkable and everything about it .. 2. Hajime no Ippo : I always loved boxing and as a participant of the sport I always got hyped by watching this action filled dramatic inspiring funny anime .. 3. Yu Yu Hakushu: One of the first martial arts fantasy animes I'v ever watched, love the action story progress and characters .. 4. Inuyasha: Everything .. 5. Samurai 7: the choreography of the fights, the style and the story are quite extraordinary. the anime is based on a movie that is known among the most successful Japanese movies in history.. Shemada for life ^ ^ .. 6. Mutsu Enmei Ryu: Martial arts, Martial arts and Martial arts 7. Pokemon: At first I loved the concept but I grew away from the series, nonetheless loved it and still does. 8. Captain Tsubasa: A favorite for every football fan, and football is in my veins .. 9. Conan kid of the future: an old famous anime that has deep story line and amazing character progress as well as drama. 10. Sword Art online: Every aspect is wonderfully done .. and many other animes I love are scattered in my head, I cannot favor one over the other but the one I love above all is DC. Naruto, One Piece and Bleach are on my list but they are not favored over the mentioned as I only liked as a child ..

Official Magic Kaito 1412 News and Discussion Thread
Shinan-Kudogawa replied to Akazora's topic in Anime series
In comparison with the previous 12 episodes series, this one is better in matter of details and storytelling. Yet like mentioned it still lacks some animation contribution to the drawing and style, as it does feels kind of cheesy to me. However overall it's a good anime to watch, just continue watching and you'll get used to it. I have after watching the first 2 episodes that are now subbed .. -
It's acquirable from years of experience watching animes and befriending many anime lovers, as it is not exact it is speculated accordingly with the assumption of who would watch the anime rather than who does watch it..

Flaws, contradictions, and plotholes in Detective Conan
Shinan-Kudogawa replied to Kaitou Kid's Killer's topic in General
That is right according to obvious facts, but nonetheless it's a strange case that Gin does what he does without the exact science of the drug that like any other drug would lead to side effects.. Just saying, and also everything is possible. I do think too that Gin is loyal to BO, but there is the anything can happen case within the DC series.. -
Flaws, contradictions, and plotholes in Detective Conan
Shinan-Kudogawa replied to Kaitou Kid's Killer's topic in General
One of the strangest things I found in DC is like mentioned above in the First Shrink, why does Gin give Shinichi a mysterious drug. I know that Gin wanted quiet murder and tried to not alert the police nearby, but he is an assassin and furthermore a supervising agent in the BO as hinted later in the series. Thus he could have carried a silencer with him, since Gin himself said that the drug could shrink someone and not actually kill a person. So why would the infamous ingenious Gin risk a 50% chance on giving a high school detective a shrinking drug instead of a better more assuring death of the detective. Which led to myself thinking sometimes if Gin actually didn't want the death of Shinichi but gave him the chance to live and to try to bring the BO down. If one would think of it, of all the people Gin faced and got the chance to kill only 3 survived: 1. Shinichi, 2. Sherry, 3. Shuuichi . Could it be that he faked his attempt to kill them only not to alert his actions to fellow colleague (Vodka) and actually let them be since they are the smartest of all his victims as he did stop exactly at the closet in which Conan was hiding, or it could be just a wrong idea and Gin actually tried to get rid of them but was beaten in his own game. But it does makes one wonder about Gin's loyalty to the BO, any agent can betray the BO. Kir an undercover CIA agent, Vermouth a secret keeper and very mysterious to her own colleagues who wants the end of the BO, Vodka who seems to be loyal to Gin and for a BO agent isn't that smart, Chianti and Korn who are fond of assassinating than following orders and does seem as hot headed. Pisco who is easily betrayed by Anokata for his mistake, Bourbon, Rye and Scotch who are spies. To me those who seems as most loyal are Calvados who shot himself after Shuu got the best of him, Tequila who died in an accidental bombing, and RUM whom we don't know much as of yet. -
Well the statistics are inconsistent, they change all the time. But in general I'd say 40% 10-16 years old mostly males, 30% 16-26 both genders, 15% Older than 50's and 15% are both genders younger than 10 years old. Though this is not exact and may be different in most cases, also for the Ethnicity I'm not sure as many people from many areas watches the series. But I can say that it is mostly viewed by Japanese people (obviously), followed by other Asian people then Europe U.S and lastly Africa. This is yet from my point of view it could be wrong but according to the channels that publish the series I'd guess my thoughts are right. Hope this helps .

Like mentioned above I love the Moonlight sonata episode 11 due to the unique method, also as mentioned the Bandaged Man in episode 34-35 due to the horrifying and shocking way of the murder. I do truly like these two criminals, I'll always remember the name Seiji and the Bandaged Man (though the symbolism and the character not the actual murderer behind the mask). I do too like the most mysterious and well carried out crimes, such as the case of the Holmes Freaks murder case. but also I do find amusement and intellectual joy in the most scariest episodes such as episode 50 with the Library murder case in which the murderer is a drug dealer who is a presumably ugly and scary looking person that hunts Conan and the detective boys in a library building, and then there is the 20's something episode in which an old woman tries to scare the detective group away from the mansion in which she hides her son and imprison him so he won't confess to the murder of his own father which he committed himself. There is the famous Night Baron episodes which is very mysterious to me, and the BO's episodes as well. But I love most the episodes in which the criminal is a smart educated person and not just a petty criminal who happened to plan a great trick, hence I love the episodes which carry an intellectual battles between Conan and other smart characters.

Well, it is only for the author to decide on the demography. However one thing I can say is that it is for most surely made for mystery loving audience, doesn't matter the age or gender. Though it does carry some heavy scenes that are considered as too much for children, but then again what is a mystery without the actuality and reality of the mystery itself. Hence I'd say it is more suited for 13+ but that's purely my opinion, it could be for a younger audience depending on the country it is shown in. As some regions does reedit the series stories so that they'd be less violent and more family friendly. Depending on the area that is, an anime can be suited for many ages..

Hello everyone, nice to meet you!
Shinan-Kudogawa replied to Kurara-chan's topic in Introduce yourself
Welcome to DCW Kurara-chan, you can call me Shinan (Shinnice-Conan). I also admire Bourbon and Shuu and Haibara, but my favorite will always be Shinichi aka Conan. He is the ultimate detective after all . -
Hello, Welcome to the community. I'm new as well, it is always delightful that new people become fans of DC and we (or rather I) welcome all of DC's newest fans. And it is true that DC is addictive XD.

Hi and welcome, like mentioned above you can watch the movie on Animeplus. Google the name and you'll find it, and the kaito series one is based on the manga and the other is influenced by DC series. But they do look similar and confusing. There's 2 movie of Lupin vs Conan..

Hello and welcome. I'm also new like you. However I think I was born in the same year as the series, so I am kind of the same age as you. I did start taking the series seriously since the first time I watched it at the age of 4 (extreme I know XD) . Anyhow welcome to the community

How It Should Have Ended-Detective Conan Episodes/Films
Shinan-Kudogawa replied to KoreanDetectiveConanFan's topic in Stories
True, but it is also Gosho's tendency to make the series longer that sometimes some episodes does seem repetitive. Also sometimes Gosho makes an entire episode for the sake of the trick itself. As somewhere I read that in an interview with Gosho, he did say to the interviewer that he first thinks of the trick and test it then writes an episode (or list of episodes) based on the trick. So some episodes tend to be repeated because Gosho-san makes a fresh trick but is out of new motives, for which sometimes he does use the same motive for more than one episode. Hence why some look so repetitive. -
Sorry for the double post I missed the multi quote button. Nevertheless you are partially right, we do little know of him. However his eyebrows could be concealed or mistakenly drawn. Yet it does arises too many questions. And it's true that we can't draw any conclusions as of now, and probably Gosho would give more hints about Anokata's id since RUM is connected to him somehow.
-
I did say: "As Anokata wouldn't go himself". However if he is like Vermouth who believes a single person can take down the entire BO. Then it might be that Anokata made a an exception on Shuu's case and made a risk in going himself, he might just as well send another underling. But it does make you wonder who is this old man and what is his true rule in the BO. Like I said it is a weak theory but it's just a theory that is mysterious, that also needs information gathering and more than one mind to actually make a decision.

Love them all, but less are those that seems repetitive ..
