I doubt it, because then Vermouth and other BO members would not have to disguise themselves in order to infiltrate the MPD. Also in the movie he was kidnapped by the BO, though the movie non canon it still would not make sine to kidnap your own boss..

I'm thinking, maybe Rum would appear in a striking silhouette at the very end of the movie. Of which fans and viewers can deduce the real ID, and later it would be confirmed in the manga. Like a man with long feminine hair that resembles Gin's, Strong body and a long mustache that gives him the old appearance. Therefore, he is feminine if looked upon from behind, if from afar but facing him upfront one would see him as old due to the mustache. And if up-close to him, one would think of him as strong man due to his maybe strong physique or tallness. It pretty much holds, but the problem lays with the prosthetic eye. Because what lacks is that from behind, if people were to think Rum is feminine they would not notice his eyes. Since the features are made by Gosho-sama in the black silhouettes he drew as presumed body features of Rum, so combining them is the key?. Any thoughts..

Here's something interesting I came upon, too much of coincidence if you ask me.. The black clothes of the Org are meant to represent crows, as Akemi told Conan. Speaking of crows there is a Matsumoto Castle in Japan that sometimes nicknamed Crow Castle due to it's black structure, now we know who Matsumoto is, the ex superintendent of the MPD Matsumoto Kiyonaga. Remember the case with his daughter being poisoned by her soon to be husband and childhood love, that's right his name is Toshihiko who's mother died in the accident that had Kiyonaga's car crashing into her while chasing the serial killer who gave him his scar on his eye. Toshihiko was later adopted by a rich family named Takasugi (Taka means Hawk in Japanese), the episode also contains a character named Atsushi UmeMiya. Though the character Atsushi is a vice president at Teitan School or something. The case of the the Poisoned Bride comes right after the Night Baron Virus case, of which the BO was interested in. Too much of a coincidence if you think about it, perhaps a more in depth analysis shall give us more hint. Thought I would share my newest discovery.. Hope it helps.. Another thing I just remembered, about crows. The boss is heavenly hinted to be inquisitive about detective fiction, speaking of both detective fiction and crows. One can but know the shared point of both, which is non other than the father of the detective fiction, Edgar Allan Poe. In his poem 'The Raven', a lover lamenting the loss of his lover to a raven. If my deduction is correct, the lover is Anokata, the loved is the woman he is trying to 'revive' or rescue hence project Silver Bullet/APTX4869. And the raven is the Organization, therefore Anokata saw the similarity between him and maybe his favorite author and used the ravens as his symbolism... Thoughts?? P.S. Know the irony if this theory stands, Shinichi used the name Conan Edogawa as his alter ego while shrunken. Conan is from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle the creator of Sherlock Holmes, while Edogawa is from Edogawa Ranpo. Ranpo is the father of the Japanese detective fiction, and his real name is Taro Hirai. Edogawa Ranpo is the Japanese spelling of Edgar Allan Poe, of whom Taro was a big fan. If Anokata is really symbolizing himself as the lover from 'The Raven' who is probably Poe him self, that makes him the creator of his own destruction. In simpler words, Anokata -> Lover in 'The Raven' -> Edgar Allan Poe -> Edogawa Ranpo -> Edogawa Conan -> Will eventually end the BO and Anokata..

Unless, though highly unlikely. The movie might be instead turned into a canon, therefore establishing it as a revealing point. Or hint giver, though yet again very very highly unlikely that it would be made canon..

Ikr, in the Kiritengu Murder Case for example. The killer simply commit the crime as an act of revenge for his late brother, who was murdered to keep him away from the daughter of the head of the temple. Why? because of the image that people try so hard to build, and are ready to go to extreme measures to save it. The Head wanted to marry his daughter into a wealthy people for a good connection and a good image. The image that provokes murder and crime at general, I would honestly say it is the people who create criminals and criminals create detectives and detectives save the people. But then again you cannot have light without darkness, it is the circle of life that we are stuck in and cannot escape. But a room of improvement is available, criminals in DC are the reflecting mirror of the society that creates them I guess. Therefore one should not provoke others to become criminals by being a nicer more considerate people therefore rescuing others and themselves, hopefully it'll happen.

It might sound weird, but the two characters that I feel sorry for are :- 1. Asou Seiji (From the Moonlight Sonata Murder Case) : He was away from the death of his parents and sister, first consumed by the mystery. Then by the guilt of unknowing, then by revenge as he felt it was his duty to punish the men who punished his parents. More to that he was fully conscious while doing the murders and did not want to do them but felt obliged, plus he seemed to live for the sole purpose of doing that being the only culprit to commit suicide in front of Shinichi/Conan, plus he had to impersonate as a woman to get his revenge, plus his name Seiji first struck me as someone who is as incredible as Shinichi, don't know why.. 2. Tatsuya Kimura (From the Karaoke Box Murder Case) : The man was in love in it's purest form, and had to suffer from the love he had. It's not unconditional love, but he did love her after what she did and yet he was unable to put his feelings into words and had the burden to keep his closest friends away so they won't miss him dearly. But it is his love that echos pain in a romantic relationship, in which a lover is unable to confess and lives with pain while the loved one is very very nearby..Sorts of like Shinichi, but he was heartbroken of the girl's attempt to change herself.

I personally think she is Anokata's sister or daughter, cannot be wife/lover due to her implied sexual relationship with Gin and knowing Anokata's over cautious nature and his favoritism of her would hint otherwise. She cannot be his mother or aunt or any older generation because the BO is over half a century and that would put her over 60 years of age, odd for a woman in that age to be active in 'such' relations. Therefore she is as close as a cousin, sister, or daughter. I'd say as daughter or sister he would be over protective of her, but then again he trusts Gin. My initial thought regarding Vermouth as daughter or sister is the fact that she is very very close to be under that rebellious daughter cliche, that would be the father's workaholic nature and specially in the underworld causing the 'death' of her mother. Anokata therefore would try to acquire as much money as he can by any means to support scientists in any field to help regain his wife/ Vermouth's mother, back to life, but his ignoring of his daughter's welfare caused her to rebel. Or the way he is becoming very obsessed with the idea of revival and longevity rather than focusing on the health of his dead/unconscious/decapitated/or something wife, so it is most probably because of his underworld work that his wife got caught in an attempt of murder leading to Vermouth's despise of the Org/Anokata. That is if this weak theory holds, however I cannot think of a daughter addressing her father as boss unless he is strictly formal and does so to hide their intimate relation. But how cool would it be if such is the case ..

I'm guessing, he probably investigated a bombing case (BO's MO ), and came upon the discovery of the BO. He started investigating a link, a famous actress at the time thought to be 'connected'. And as he tails her, he finds out a lot about her. A mistake slips, and the actress Vermouth finds out. She then decides to look up on him and finds out he is FBI, she decides to take him down without BO's knowledge so that no one would know of her mistake. After she does so, we know what happens, however little did she know that the spy had a daughter who could confirm his hidden documents regarding the existence of a large criminal corporate..

Oh, did not know about it. Thanks .. still it is too consistent, though I hope it would have a meaning. Like allusion to the BO's HQ building that we can see through and trace it in the early stages of the story. A building of bricks, built in the old manner as a scary castle. That would be the stage for the final clash, a building full of bricks that represents the money and the time invested in the building that symbolizes the BO at large collapsing at the very end. Leaving a destructed building with no inhabitants, a project evolved into a stage that will see the end before going any further. A fitting image I think, if it manages to keep a sci-fi/mystery/horror aspects within the castle of bricks.

That's what I say, but I do remind you again that the FBI and the CIA didn't know of the other's knowledge on the existence of the BO and didn't cooperate and they are from the same country. What do you think about agencies that are far away, besides it might be that one agency does not know or want to know other spies in order not to risk exposing them to the BO.
-
OK, so as the title appeals. I just finished watching the 804th episode, and I enjoyed it. However I couldn't but notice that in the new opening there are bricks in the background, which reminded me of the first opening in which also there are bricks in the background. In fact the 'bricks' theme is heavily consistent in the series, such as in the middle of an episode the break scene of a closing and reopening wood door is inside a wall made of bricks. The title of the series sometimes is designed with bricks in the back, there is also the building of the bricks which ran falls from in the first opening and Conan saves her by catching her hand, in the first closing Shinichi also walks through such building, and in the recent openings there is a short scene were Gin and Vodka share a smiling glimpse over Conan through a window in a building built of bricks. Adding to that the BO is over half a century, do you think it's pure artistic or is there more to it?..

Good point, but I'm guessing just like with Shuu and Kir. They don't know of the others true allegiance, therefore alone they won't take a risk considering their high level sneaking skills. Think about it, if the U.S own governmental secret agencies were not in corporation from the first place and Shuu had to know Kir's CIA involvement only later, then what would you think of spies from different agencies from different countries.

It just hit me, it might be a 'reversed' hint. Think about, if the movie is canon or non-canon, the involvement of three foreign spies in the BO should mean something. It is still problematic if the movie is non-canon, and my theory won't hold, but a chance stands. If it is what I think it is, then the three spies are meant to prove the international widespread of the BO. Since as far as we know, BO exists in Japan and U.S.A, we never got to know the full extent infamy of the BO. Therefore if what I think is true, Gosho-sama is trying to tell us that the BO has reached the Canadian, British and the German soils. OK now I get where I went wrong, the BO did reach Germany's land, proven by the ownership of Gin's Porsche which is an exclusive manufacture product that exists only in Germany. So aside from U.S, Japan and Germany, one can guess they reached Canada and Britain, which leads to the following question. Why are these countries in particular to be relevant? What is common among these countries? Due they hold significant plot related twist?. Could it be that one of the BO's higher ups is half Japanese half (one of these countries), or is it because the BO wants to control lots of money (as claimed by Gosho-sama in an early interview) that they have reached these countries?. My guess is that they are relevant for the spies of secret government forces to know of their existence and infiltrate the BO... What are your thoughts??

Still considered 'near', if we talk about the entire passed time of DC so far. (21 years old).. -
Made me think that if Shinichi is the modern day Sherlock Holmes, maybe there is a previous Japanese Sherlock Holmes who turned evil. Perhaps following the same pattern as the Yu Yu Hakusho series in which a spirit detective turns bad and the protagonist is the next one.

Plotwise, since we are now next to the revelation of Rum, and who's next??
