Shuukichi Haneda Discussion Thread
Shinan-Kudogawa replied to Chekhov MacGuffin's topic in Manga series
I agree on everything you say, as of the upcoming fights against the BO. I think that they would end up having to work together in order to end up the hatred and vengeance that lies deep within Bourbon so that he also would help them, and story-wise I guess it would be Shuu vs. Gin at the end while Conan/Shinichi Vs. Anokata if that is how Gosho is planning it to be. -
If it was up to me, I think he is less skilled than the others compared to Gin and Vermouth who are high ranking members and are known for their superb skills. But Vodka on his own as a character with no comparison, like mentioned, have an almost accurate shooting skills, can remember faces and names, useful in handing out a trade. seems to have no conscious as he is prepared to kill anyone anytime except maybe for Gin his mentor, a trait that earns him respect I presume. Vodka perhaps is more of the business dealer kind of man, as Gin would probably kill on any little doubt thus Vodka is assigned to work with Gin to smooth up the deals therefore in the very first episode he is the one to trade with the arms dealing company leader while Gin is on the lookout. Wow it just hit me but if you think about it for a second and that Gin is more of the combatant between the two, have you ever thought that Gin is assigned to work with Vodka as the bodyguard and not the other way around. Vodka is the one to deal with others, but since he have less of a charisma and leader skills and intimidation about him, Anokata assigned Gin to work with Vodka to assure that Gin would handle any situation that Vodka may fall into and that is why they are together. True Gin would not hesitate to kill Vodka as seen before, but perhaps Vodka has some kind of relationship with Anokata but at a disposable range. That is why Gin is the one who is with direct contact to Anokata because he can handle any situation at hand, while Vodka assuming he is more close to the boss is kept at hand so that his dim witted mind will not be a problem. Remember that even though Pisco was a long time member of BO and was somewhat close to the Miyano's, he was disposed off immediately at the risk of covering the existence of the BO. So Vodka might be in the same situation, if he is also close but due to his slow mind kept at bay to ensure his incapability won't risk the hidden existence of the BO.

Shinan-Kudogawa replied to Napshot64's topic in News and updates
I enjoyed all of the movies, but Phantom of the Baker Street belittles JTR who is one of my favorite mysteries even though I really liked it so ... However I like mixing more of action and mystery than drama and mystery.. therefore I'd say I enjoyed mostly Countdown to heaven -
DC:- Shinichi/Conan Heiji Shuuichi Anokata Hajime no Ippo:- Ippo Takamura Inuyasha:- Inuyasha Seshumaro Yu Yu Hakusho:- The big 4 Captain Tsubasa:- Captain Tsubasa Shingo Aoi One Outs:- Tokichi Toua Samurai X:- Kenshin Samurai 7:- Shimada Kambei apparently there are lots of favorites..I just cannot name them all...there are so much...

True, and you know why?? because it is one of the best stories out there

I don't think so, unless Vermouth is disguising as someone (probably RUM) and shows her eyes if what u say is true....her disguised eyes..

And I agree that it might be their little concern about their family relatives, but the question is that they both know the capabilities of the other. Meaning that they can trust each other and reveal themselves fully to the other, since it would help them to investigate more thoroughly and make quicker connections. Also about the fact that the FBI have not yet connected Conan to Shinichi like they did with Haibara is because Gosho-sama want it so, therefore there are not much things we can talk about here.. -
True, but his personality as an adult in a child form differs from an adult in adult's body. Therefore his personality is the same, but implies different attitudes when in child or adult forms.

He did complain about Conan's presence when taken away by Vermouth and Shuu was about to shoot her but called his name in annoyance, he did trust Conan with backing his plan to go undercover as dead. Yet Conan who does trust Shuu doesn't reveal his identity to him, and Shuu likewise trusts Conan but within a limit as he does't even tell Conan about Sera and his 2nd brother. -
The left eye (right from the POV of the character) looks like that of Shuu, although interesting enough. What if RUM is the 2nd brother who accomplish miracles and became the 2nd in command..
-
What I meant is that Shiho fell in love with Shinichi in his Conan form not in his original form, besides he does masquerade his personality as Conan to be childlike. So when he turns back to Shinichi, he is mostly going to act less like a child and more like an adult..

The one thing supporting this is in the newest chapters in which Conana starts to deduce Sera's relation to Shuu. But as to why it is because Shuu is trustful of Conan but still have doubts, while Shukichi seems more trsuting of Conan and therefore he is more the type to say ' if it is him then it is all right'.. -
Actually it is a noted pattern, to notice someone combatant who turns out a villain in some point.. Shuu was not much at first it was later seen that he is skilled, while Amuro seen as being a very capable detective turns out to be BO eventhough he is an enemy of the enemies..

I would like to think of Shiho as Irene Adler to Conan, he admires her and like her but it is more courtly as he won't make advances. While Ran is the one who shared her entire life with him and grew up with Shinichi, not to mention like already said Shinichi is more of the brains while Ran is more of the brawn as Gosho-sama would make the irony about it. Shiho is useful as of the moment but like I already said once she is the one who would get over her crush over Shinichi as she probably fell in love with Conan not Shinichi, therefore when he gets back to normal Shiho will see that she liked Conan not Shinichi and would outgrow these feelings...We will have to wait and see

Someone I met in real life says he does believe James is Anokata, however I countered his statement as Vermouth knows the id of James. and that like Camel he saw Haibara and knows about her but did not take any measures against her. plus, James is implied as being less smarter than Shuu and I don't think such a person could be RUM unless he is faking it. Put some points are contradictory, such as the active boos in japan of the FBI is not all that smart like the rest of the detectives, having a similar blonde (at his first introduction in the anime) hair like that of Vermouth's 'husband'. He knew of Shuu's fake death plan, supports Conan's judgement and involvement. Conan linked his name to James Moriarty, and his last name is Black. But the emphasizing points that James is NOT Anokata, is the fact that he is known as a boss of a certain company (Gosho-sama said that if you would know the real name of the BO you would know it's boss ID). therefore everyone would know his ID, He was kidnapped in his first introduction into the series, Shuu spends his time with the FBI therefore he would have deduced Jame's ID, also story-wise it would be weak if the FBI is lead by a BO and they are hunting the BO so if the leader is revealed as a member of the BO it would leave the FBI struggling with no active leader to make it strong enough to face the BO unless Shuu steps as a leader. But Shuu seems more like a lone-wolf preferring to abide things and secrets to himself, so it is very contradictory that James is a member, not to mention the BOSS.

There's an anime based on the story, as well as a live action movie..

Although I might disagree on Shuuichi pretending as Shuukichi.. I agree on Shuuichi's awareness as of now... -
I didn't say we take the theory seriously.. I said myself that I don't support it, but it quite interesting the similarities..maybe like vermouth he plays on his behalf and is not loyal but not a traitor.. Still it is not like I am supporting that Camel is Rum..so there is no point in talking about it..
-
I'd think that since she is Gosho's favorite being the voice of his thoughts and all.. Will live.. But as to what happens, I guess she will redeem herself from the thoughts of being a traitor after some encouraging words from Akai.. And would choose to get her life back as Shiho do she won't give up and run away as Haibara..therefore leading her to either stay with Agasa as Shiho while helping him on inventions that would help humanity after the last chapters, or starting a project of her own and hitting off to travel back to America and start it off..I think she would find a love interest Furuya or new character (all the rest are taken XD) after getting over the crush on Shinichi..

That's the thing..if Shuukichi is Mycroft and Shuu is Sherlock.. What is the position of Shinichi.. (Lol all of them have the Sh and Ichi in their names)..we know Shinichi is a lonely child, but we know nothing of the Kudo's family members besides the ones we already know (going off topic).. Shuukichi would probably know about his brother's life but may choose to not engage since he knows that Shuu knows Shin hi therefore being in a safe hands he relies on them to help each other..leaving him unnecessary, yet for a character that is as smart as Shin and Shuu but with no engagement of hunting the BO (as of yet) is kind of frustration and lousy.. But now that I think about it..Kudo Yuusaku who is supposedly the smartest character does not engage that much on the hunt except maybe for disguising as Okiya.. -
I just rewatched the episodes of Shuu's fake death, his return and when he was waiting for Gin meet up. Although I myself don't support this theory of mine that I just composed, but it is interesting. What of Andre Camel is RUM..just think about it.. He did uncover Shuu's ID to the BO.. as if he purposely did so to warn them from having trouble with the FBI, he has long feminine hair and a strong body.. Shuu doesn't confront him immediately after his cover is blown..though I don't support this theory myself.. Not to mention there are many contradictions regarding it..it is interesting nonetheless..
-
He might to you, but notice how he have a square shaped hair with seemingly a ponytail.. Although it is still arguably a weak theory..
-
It may have been not about ending but a hint to continue the series to upcoming seasons but nevertheless with an ending that should follow..

True to that, and you are right when it comes to Sera and her judgments. But she is in contact with her 2nd brother if we guess right. And to be able to say thinks on par like Shinichi and Shuu, but also being described as having photographic memory something neither Shinichi nor Shuu has been described as but implied as gives us an edge over the more honed abilities of the 2nd brother..But he might be a key character that his memory bill bring clues to light...we will live and see.. -
Also forgot to mention that it was done early in the anime. Still kind of weak, but the staff may allowed this add on to be a hint for the then planned short series ending...
