  1. THIS THREAD is used to discuss about SPOILERS. In other words, if you only read the English version and wish to wait for the full release instead of getting spoiled, this is NOT the right place for you! RULES OF THE SPOILER-ONLY DISCUSSION THREAD: 1. Any kind of spoiler involving the case (pictures, texts, information, full scans...) of any language that is released before the English version must be posted HERE. The English translations of the spoilers must also be posted here. 2. Any kind of discussion involving the spoilers must be posted HERE. 3. Despite being a spoiler-only thread, EVERY spoiler and discussion involving events that have not happened in the English releases STILL has to be put inside Spoiler boxes. When the file in question is fully released in English, this is not necessary anymore. 4. NO DIRECT LINK to any Japanese scans (RAWs) or English scans (Japanese spoiler pictures are allowed as long as the amount and quality of which are very far away from a full scan, like the ones we usually have). HOW TO USE A SPOILER BOX? Just simply type the following: Or more manually: Step 1: Click the "Special BBCode" icon at the upper-left side of the edit toolbar. Step 2: In BBCode, select "Spoiler". Step 3: Enter the text that you want to put inside Spoiler boxes, then click OK.
  2. Saw this coming. (This gif's for the guy with the glasses and the glass... the others don't look too pleased, maybe except for the guy on the far right)
  3. But there was never an alternative to Shuichi and Masumi being brother and sister—from the start, it was clear that was what Gosho had in mind. Plus, there's Masumi's attitude towards Shuichi after Mystery Train—she may not have appeared to be devastated before, but now? Look at her blushing and smiling every time he comes up—she doesn't even have a moment of sadness, after the initial joy. She may have a good poker face, but you'd think there'd be cracks. It just seems like she thinks he's not dead (I know seeing Vermouth as Scar Akai and not being aware of what was really going on is a possible cause for this, but it really doesn't seem likely—Shuichi took her hat, while Scar Akai never lost "his." It was her hat that she wondered about). Gosho may very well be going for a double reveal, here.
  4. Looks pretty good! Doesn't the trailer drop today, by the way?
  5. Who's the most likely character to turn out to be the middle brother? Shukichi, of course. Thus, he's also the most likely character to turn out to have been in contact with Masumi. Shuichi is the only other person she could be in contact with—that's why I think it's him. I know Gosho went through with the Bourbon and Subaru reveals, and most people saw them coming, but this? Even back when it was happening, the Bourbon and Subaru reveals were crucial to the plot... the middle brother? Not so much (though he can eventually become relevant, once things get going, again). I just felt that, with what we were shown in 929, Gosho was trying to pull a fast one. Have Shukichi put Yumi on hold and then put her back on, and in the time between, Masumi calls her second brother, gets told he's talking with someone important, and then is hung up on. And what else? Shukichi isn't shown during the period Masumi calls her second brother. Shukichi could have easily put Yumi on hold to turn down an interview request, while Masumi called Shuichi, was told by him that he was talking with someone important (Jodie, James or Andre, perhaps) and then was hung up on.
  6. Except with the BO, of course. Looks like this woman is the spy.
  7. Yeah, that's what I was getting at—he wouldn't refer to Shinichi/Conan as Shinichi/Conan for the whole text, then refer to him as the wizard, all of a sudden.
  8. But those were completely and utterly relevant to the main plot, at the time. Masumi and Shuichi/Subaru were important characters to the main plot long before those reveals. The middle brother question, on the other hand? Shukichi will only become relevant once he's confirmed to be the middle brother. No. That is NOT what I meant. Where did I say that? Point out where so I can edit my post and remove it, because that is the last thing I wanted to convey. Shukichi is Masumi's and Shuichi's brother, but Shuichi was the one in contact with Masumi via phone in Steamy Relations, The Suspect is Makoto Kyogoku, and The Curious Customers of Ogura's Ramen, and, because he's supposed to be dead, Masumi tells everyone that she's in contact with Shukichi. Could be—if he gave a straight-forward explanation and then suddenly went all cryptic, that'd be weird.
  9. Except we haven't seen those outfits. The lining of the sleeve doesn't matter—both Shuichi's/Subaru's and Shukichi's outfits have a white one. It's the color of the sleeve that matters. If Gosho wanted to show us it was Shukichi, then he'd use the same color as Shukichi's outfit in File 899–File 902. In fact, actually, I think the volume release of File 860 was just a recoloring. The original scan just appeared to be a black sleeve. As for the Ramen Restaurant, again, it's a Jodie=Vermouth/Subaru=Bourbon like hint, to me. Yes, Gosho's been dragging things since September 2007 (or April 2003, if you want to take it even further), but having something like what happened in File 929 shown in the way it was, to me, a clear misdirect. Why not show Shukichi putting Yumi on hold and confirming that he is not only the middle brother, but the one in contact with Masumi, if you're going to show such a scene that screams he is the middle brother but keep the question unanswered? It's so blatantly, "Hey, look! He's definitely the one!... but we're going to leave things open..." Yes, Shukichi is the middle brother, but Shuichi/Subaru is the one advising Masumi over the phone. Honestly, Shukichi and MG may as well not have been introduced until after Scarlet Showdown, since they played no role in it, but that's the way things went. By the way, at what point should this be moved to the middle brother thread? Did we already hit it?
  10. Shuichi knows that Conan is Shinichi. That, and Masumi telling him about what happened (probably ten years ago, give or take) on a certain beach, would be enough for him to put things together, and refer to Shinichi/Conan in his text to Masumi as "the wizard/magician." Yes, only Shukichi could've seen Shinichi as a seven-year-old (again, give or take), but, actually Shuichi/Subaru turning out to be the one in contact with Masumi wouldn't contradict Shukichi being at that beach and seeing Shinichi.
  11. EDIT: Literally at the same time (very close, actually). Update on the way MG is drawn:
  12. But these hints strike me as quite similar to the Jodie=Vermouth and Subaru=Bourbon "hints." The one in contact with Masumi knows about what happened on that beach. Shuichi and/or Shukichi could've heard about it from Masumi. Also, both Shuichi and Shukichi met Shinichi/Conan before the Bowling Alley Murder, and both know he is a brilliant detective. If Shuichi/Subaru is in contact with Masumi, she would tell everyone she's in contact with her other brother—Shuichi's supposed to be dead, after all. Since he's undercover, he wouldn't tell her what he's up to—he wouldn't tell her he's Subaru Okiya—she wouldn't know he's working with Shinichi/Conan, and, thus, would wonder how he knows Shinichi/Conan. As for clues of this twist, the sleeve of the middle brother (File 860) was redrawn for Volume 81—it looks more like Shuichi's/Subaru's shirt sleeve from Silent Clash (700–704/578–581) than the sleeve of Shukichi's shogi outfit. File 860 (Volume 81) File 702 File 899 The key, here, is the color—Shukichi's sleeve is too dark, while Shuichi's/Subaru's is more in line with the color of the middle brother's sleeve. Actually, Shukichi could've been there, at the beach, and recognized Shinichi's/Conan's face as Shinichi's—my point is that the one who contacted Masumi is bringing this up, over the phone, because it seems to me that Shuichi/Subaru is the one contacting Masumi.
  13. She was most certainly there. Shukichi? I'm not so sure.
  14. This is because new loyal BO agents haven't been introduced to compensate, right? We need a clear picture that spies are in the minority. When we got Kir, we got Chianti and Korn to compensate. Bourbon? Not really. It's a pattern inferred by we, the fans. He may never have made any official statements about it, but take things like Kir (cocktail) being a spy and all the whiskeys being spies (Scotch, Bourbon, Rye), and perhaps Gosho has a way of doing things, when it comes to the codenames.
  15. As far as I know, YOU doesn't appear in any anime episodes, any OVAS, or any other movies.
