Well, it's not really stated that RUM has a "special connection" with the boss. Akai says that RUM seems to be close to the Boss and Haibara says that RUM is the Number 2 of the Organization. I don't think "being close" has the same implications as the "special connection", that Vermouth has, has.

Why? She didn't have a problem with two silver bullets between Full Moon Double Mystery and Clash of Red and Black and when Amuro tells her that Akai is still alive and she realizes that he is right, she tries to argue against it and protect Shuichi.

No, I think he's talking about this character: http://www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/Detective_Kobayashi#Detective_Kobayashi He's one of the unimportant backround filler characters that actually got a name. Utmost unimportant overall, which is why he was used by RB as a comparison to Yonehara's importance.

On the other hand, most of the ShinRan haters seem to be CoAi fans, so it all evens out in the end.

First of all, DC is primarily a detective fiction manga, Gosho said in one of his detective libraries that DC is only romantic on the side and wasn't really intended by him in this form (paraphrasing a bit here, but that's the gist of it). So, romance is just a bonus. Gosho is not a very good romance writer, true, but Shinichi's confession is one of his better moments in the series in regards to romance. Understanding what's in her heart, is more than just knowing that she loves him, you know? Other than that, yeah. Gosho doesn't put much effort into it, because it's not the focus of the series.

Not before the end of the series and since Gosho said in an interview he can imagine the series running longer than 100 Volumes, I doubt it'll be soon.

Because Vermouth wants to see the BO fall and protecting Akai helps with that. And Vermouth knows that Kir is CIA, so by not telling the other BO members, she is protecting Kir. Why does the info Camel gave her have to be forwarded to the higher-ups? Vermouth isn't really the communicative type as we see plenty of times and she has no reason to share that info with anybody but Bourbon, who asked her to retrieve it. And Bourbon surely won't share it, considering he is Secret Police and stuff. Also, I don't know what translation you are reading, but in the one I'm reading reading, she says "You'll stop doing this sort of thing now, won't you?" referring to his recent solo actions. Is there any reason to believe that the info that Camel spilled was shared to anybody else than Bourbon? I don't think so.

Why would Vermouth report the info and Bourbon's theory to Rum? As soon as she realizes that Bourbon is right, she tries to argue against it and get him away from his theory, because she wants to protect Conan, Akai and Kir. Thus, she has no reason to report it to Rum. Neither does Bourbon, since he was planning to capture Akai for the Secret Police and not for the BO, so reporting his theory before he has a hold of him, makes no sense either.

Conan just said that he doesn't have enough leads to get Heiji involved, not that he won't involve him at all.

Would you call Komei "strongly built"? I thought he was rather slender, especially compared to Yamato. Also, Komei wasn't standing besides Kuroda when Haibara met Kuroda. If Haibara said she didn't feel the BO aura, then she didn't. If she "might still have felt a BO aura in the space" she would've said that she felt BO presence, because we've been shown before, that Haibara can feel the BO, regardless of their position from her, as long as they are close; she even felt Bourbon driving in a car behind her. Haibara can distinct between normal fear and BO fear, so if she said, she didn't feel any BO presence when she met Kuroda, then she says the truth.

Well, many thought that the cliffhanger of 920 would be followed by a Conan, Haibara and Kuroda case, but that didn't happen either. What gave you the idea btw? The files had nothing that indicated that imo.

Besides, we have seen them have many proper conversations in every flashback case so far (except maybe the preschool one, but eh, they were 4 and didn't know each other yet).

Iirc, the Shonen Sunday website said something about a case at an Italian restaurant.

1. No, Gosho said in a postcard, that Date is not Scotch. 2. From his subordinates in Nagano, maybe even from Kansuke directly. Kansuke and Yui both more or less directly say in the Red Wall Case, that they think that Conan is the brain behind Sleeping Kogoro. Note, that this doesn't mean that they know about the method Conan uses to make the Sleeping Kogoro happen nor do they know or think about Conan being Shinichi.

If you're not in an asia county, it probably won't be shown in a cinema for you, so you'll have to wait for Japanese Blu-Ray/DVD this fall and import it or wait until someone localizes it for your market. For other viewing methods than that (especially in link form), I'll refer you to the forum rules:

Funny, for me it's the exact opposite. I don't mind Ai usually, but when I read excessive CoAi posts/fanfics I really get annoyed at her existence, although that isn't even her fault. I know it's each to their own, but I just can't help it >.>
