  5. man I forgot how much I missed those gifs Thank you! (and a squish is essentially just a platonic/friend crush)
  6. Yep! It's out in the middle of nowhere and the college is the main thing here and really the only thing worth taking note of unless you're an unusually big fan of parks. The campus and surrounding buildings are very old, but it's a cute little town to say the least. The international students had.. I don't know what they're technically called but the sash-thing that drapes over the graduate's shoulder displayed their home country's flag. Had the international students not had those I would've never been able to tell who was American and who wasn't either haha (well except for those whose name was called and had very obvious foreign names.) And thank you!
  7. Happy birthday!

  9. I went to my sister's graduation today at Miami University (not in Florida, the Miami in Ohio). I thought it wasn't going to be really hard to sit through since it was in the university's football stadium, the forecast called for rain and wind, and there wasn't any cell reception in the stadium but I actually really liked it. Bonnie St John was there and her speech was really good imo. I liked all the other speeches for the most part too. I was also surprised with just how many international students were there and how many of their families were there. (I saw a couple Chinese families, a Swiss one, and a few from some different African countries) The worst part was the rain, about 40 minutes in the rain picked up and everyone had started throwing on those really crappy, thin, plastic ponchos. A couple people officially entered the military during the ceremony too which I thought was interesting to watch. The only names they ran through were the people who were getting degrees other than bachelor's degrees which I was really glad about because going through all the names takes forever. (My sister got her master's so fortunately she got her name called and was able to go up on stage) my favorite part was either the people who were taking selfies with the professors or the collective groan that swept through the crowd at the beginning when the university president thanked those watching the ceremony at home from over the internet
  10. I got that feeling too but I thought it was just the right mix between pop and their usual sound. X&Y's great though. A bunch of my favorite Coldplay songs are off that album. I just barely prefer the Viva la Vida album as a whole over X&Y though. And I never really got into U2 so I haven't heard their latest album so I can't really comment on that
  11. I wonder just how many old films have been lost. To think so much time, effort, and money went into making them only to have so many of them be lost to the ages. Some of them probably never got the chance to be shown on screen at all. I wonder how many more classic films we'd have (if any at all) if even half of those had survived.
  12. I'm watching a few things from this season! The series I'm watching all seem average except for 2 but I'm really biased towards those ones. this spring season's line up's definitely better than last year's imo (just a heads up that there might be minor spoilers ahead) Hibike! Euphonium is a surprisingly nice slice of life anime. I'm kinda past my slice of life phase but this show isn't hard to sit through at all and it's one of the ones I look forward to. I have soft spot for music anime so that's probably why. I keep seeing it compared to K-on but I haven't seen K-on (nor intend to) so I can't really comment on that. I was really pleased with the fact that it didn't seem like this series would have a romantic subplot or anything but then I got to the last maybe like 5 minutes of episode 6... .....this doesn't need to happen it's not going to add anything--and to think I was happy with how the male childhood friend was solely sticking to the childhood friend role Diamond no Ace Season 2.. not really sure why they needed a second season since the first season stopped airing literally 8 days before the second season started. Aside from the first few episodes being recap ep's I'm happy this show is back and I didn't realize how I attached I'd gotten to the characters over the course of watching new episodes week after week until I had to go 3 weeks without any new content. And it's nice to see Eijun back on the mound so early in this season! ...I just wish my two favorite characters got more screen time the one's even a pitcher but he's ignored almost completely and says maybe 1 line per episode Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken 2 Sure-me is pretty much just like the first season. The first season was pretty enjoyable though and even comedic occasionally. I really like that it has short episodes too. I thought Kaori got pregnant towards the end of the first season but whatever There's also Punchline which is... unique to say the least. I honestly don't really know what this one's about or even where it's going since it kinda did a 180°. I do know that it's like over the top ecchi though to the point where it's almost annoying (maybe that was intentional though since this one's very... flashy (no pun intended)). It's almost kinda used as a plot point though and this one... this one's kinda a mess but it's an entertaining mess that might possibly be kinda going somewhere. The art style used is nice though, kinda reminds me of Kill la Kill's art style. The comedy's kinda raunchy at times too but you can't really expect any other kind of humor with this type of anime. Shokugeki no Soma's another ecchi one. I don't have any particular interest in this one but I heard the manga's pretty good so I just decided to pick it up on a whim. The food made in the show makes me a lil sad about the lack of fancy food in my life though. and the foodgasms holy crap *shrugs* it's alright but then again it's not really my taste (pun possibly intended) Nisekoi: is another second season that's pretty similar to the first season. It's only 12 episodes which is kinda disappointing though. It's just your standard romcom that's executed well and animated nicely. None of the characters are particularly annoying either so that's a plus. Ore Monogatari is probably the cutest thing I'm watching at the moment. They're both just so pure. I've kinda steered clear of the shoujo and romance genres so I'm not tired of the sickeningly sweet, gentle first love type of shows as I haven't seen that many of them. I'm actually pretty surprised I like this one as much as I do. And it's nice to see that the male protag has very visible emotions for the main love interest since, from what I've seen, it's usually the female characters that are really vocal, and obvious about their feelings and not so much the male characters. In short, this one's just really cute. And last but not least is my favorite anime of the season, Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo. I didn't go into this one expecting anything at all and it ended up being the one I look forward to the most week after week. I'm not really one for harem anime but this one's surprisingly good. The only other body switching anime I've seen is Kokoro Connect which I really liked so I'm glad there's something somewhat similar that's also really good. The characters are all pretty likable (at least all of them are thus far), the opening theme is visually very nice and also has a great song, the ending song's not bad either, and the comedy's actually good imo. And there's same sex kisses every once in a while in this anime which while they're mainly for fanservice or comedy or just because it makes me happy that there's not a stigma surrounding them. It's only going to be 12 episodes long but I'm hoping it'll get a second season later on. I'm just hoping the point of there being 7 witches with 7 different powers and the protag being able to temporarily obtain and use those powers will be more important later on than it is in the show currently. I've been meaning to look into this series but I haven't quite gotten around to it yet!

  16. Dear anonymous, I'm really sorry. . .. . . . I'm not punctual at all and knowing I can't be more than 20 minutes late just makes it really easy in my head to jump over the obstacle of "oh missing one day won't get me too far behind" and then before I know it I'm like an entire week and a half behind. I. . . .. I'm sorry... sleeping in's just a really good feeling especially when one doesn't really deserve to sleep in please don't dislike me too much and am I still going to move ahead one class too btw.... .. . I'd like to know soon since the next class after your's seems... I'd rather not take it if I don't have to --signed, a good student with a bad sleep schedule
