The Amplifetes - Blinded By The Moonlight -
I found out tent caterpillar nests are very common where I live now all the trees in the area look like they've been teepeed but in actuality there's just hundreds of little moth nests everywhere

...And I thought dealing with the occasional centipede and wolf spider was bad

I wonder if chrome does run better depending on your processor. I think my old laptop was also an i3 and it used to crash at least twice a day but my current laptop's an i5 and it rarely crashes. As for going between all of them, it's a matter of just never moving tabs, kinda sorting them by type (like all my webcomic tabs are next to each other), and remembering their approximate locations haha. Having less tabs open does make it feel less hectic but I prefer only having one window open

It really was! I liked that they really focused on the benefits of transitioning trans kids early on too! And I came across this video from The Daily Show which made me laugh a couple times. Oh! Today, May 8th, is Ace Visisbility Day on tumblr (and maybe on a couple other lgbt sites too...? Not quite sure but the post on tumblr has almost 65k notes so I'm sure it's spread some other places as well) where people in the ace community are going to be posting images or just pictures of playing card suits that correlate to their orientation. This was set up by theasexualityblog which specified that for the event the ace of hearts will be for alloromantic asexuals aka asexuals that regularly feel romantic attraction, the ace of spades will be for aromantic asexuals, the ace of diamonds will stand for demiromantic/demisexual and gray-aromantics/gray-asexuals, and the ace of clubs will be for individuals who know they fall on the aro/ace spectrum but aren't quite fully sure where. All the participating posts will be tagged with #AceDay Today, May 17th, is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia! The event's been going on since 2004 and originally started out as a day against only homophobia. However, in 2009 transphobia was included and this year biphobia was added. Their website shows that a couple little festivals and rallies happened worldwide which is really exciting since it's raising LGBT+ awareness in other countries, especially in countries like South Korea where deviating from "the norm" is very taboo. Though the day is mainly focused on homo- bi- and trans- phobia, it also raises awareness for gender and sexual minorities which is always great.

it's been about 85F all week and everyday I've been wearing long pants and a hoodie to school and still end up being really cold ;--;

That's really cool! I can't imagine what kind of feeling comes along with working on something that gets launched into deep space. And if/when you go over the interview you did, I'd be interested in hearing the details as well c:

I'd really appreciate it if the seasonal allergy season was over already orz

In my defense I haven't had biology yet and I've said so much stupid stuff in the past that I just double check everything now and when I think of lizards I think of geckos usually and not chameleons and their little claw hands and weird looking eyes

wherever you live sounds terrifying

are chameleons lizards

It's not too bad to be honest. A lot are just kept open because they're things I don't want to forget, to keep my place, or to read later. The main ones I use are just a couple social media, forum, and/or things I'm watching tabs c:

From what I can tell a lot of NASA's projects have twitter accounts. The Hubble, Spirit and Opportunity, Dawn, New Horizons, Juno, and the Mars Curiosity all have one (and those are just the ones I was able to find). Whoever runs the Mars Curiosity's twitter really gave that one a personality though. The Curiosity's profile pic's a selfie and it seems to take seflies every once in a while too haha. And it even jokes around with some of the people that respond to it's tweets. (these ones being my favorites: 1 2 3 4 5) In comparison to how exclusively educational/informative the other missions's accounts are handled it's nice seeing a less serious one c:

article: x NASA's Messenger probe which had been orbiting Mercury since 2011, but launched in 2004, and sending back thousands of pictures and videos, crashed into Mercury's surface sometime within the past 24 hours as it was out of fuel. It ran out of fuel a couple weeks ago but despite all efforts, it could not be saved. It hit Mercury's surface at about 8,750mph/14,082kph. Unfortunately, it impacted on the side not facing the Earth so we didn't get to see it fall out of orbit nor the crater it created. Messenger is currently the only probe that's orbited Mercury (and the only man-made object to crash there as well). It's mission was overall a success though and it accomplished a lot of things. It also sent out this tweet yesterday the feels And this is the last picture it sent back to Earth before it crashed
