Hiya! I'm Napshot64. I'm somewhat of a member now, but I've never gotten around to doing this until I'd made a few posts, and hoped people don't hate me (I can be a little annoying a times). I was devastated when the watch section went down, because once you go DC world, you NEVER go back! Anyways, I got into DC about three years ago. I saw an ad, thinking it looked stupid. But when my local bookstore ran out of my favorite manga, I decided to give it a chance. Now, I own all books currently in the US,Seasons 1-3, and movies 1-6. DC has also done something for me. Now I read Conan Doyle's masterpieces! I have the entire Holmes collection! I also read Agatha Christie. My favorite books from the two are "The Sign of Four" and"Murder in Mesopotamia" My favorite Conan cases are "The Kaitou Kid Game" and "Deja Vu in Chinatown Rain". My grades and eye for detail have gone up since. I'm proud to be an addict!

Oh, and I hope vids will be back up soon! If you use youtube embedding, make sure they say they don't own DC in their description so they won't be deleted! And a question: why is it that we're banned with vids, but not youtube! I know it's something to do with it being compiled in a database, but what if DC world had a youtube account, and had a favorites list full with all the episodes?

I wish I could do more to help DC world. I can't donate (With my job, I get paid peanuts [And I can't even eat them!]), and I can only but DC merchandise with Bn gift cards from my family... And buying the merchandise won't do with the few numbers of people compared to the rest of the world. If only the world could realize how awesome DC is, it'd be a top-selling thingy! (No one bothers to read it, it's either 'Over Rated', 'Not popular' (NOT true), or 'it LOOKS stupid'. I used to think that last one until the bookstore ran out of Ranma 1/2 volumes. I bought it (I saw an ad and thought i'd try it), and I LOVED IT! Yeah, anyways, we need to bring DC/CC publicity past just the fan sites, but on blogs on every last site, on news (I could commit a murder and say 'DC inspired me!' lol, you get the idea), tell friends (If you are a true DC fan, you won't care what they say [i lost a few friends ]. "If I were assured of your eventual destruction I would, in the interests of the public, cheerfully accept my own". Meaning, if saving DC/CC means going out of my way to kill myself (Emotionally, I'm not suicidal [Not anymore, thanks to DC {Seriously, lol}]), then so be it. Well, anyways, If I can do anything to help the site (Again, can't donate crap... ), like idea pitching, or designing (If I'm told which program to use), then I'd be glad to help!

Yeah, I've heard of keychains (In the US), but I've never been able to find any, even online! Maybe DC world can be the first!

,,, 0_o... I am not joking; I actually cried when you mentioned my post. I hardly had any replies, so I thought it didn't get out very far. This is the first time my name has been used in a post (Or at least one that wasn't offending me [People are mean]). I've already bought all the movies, All the manga (It's going a lil downhill too), and seasons 1-3. I'm gonna buy the rest the next time I get a good amount of cash. But anyways, whether or not I affected this, I feel proud. The whole "Anyone can make a difference" thing may be true! *sniff Anyways, yea yea, I love DC. I can't wait till the vids are back up (I'll continue to buy after they are). I can't go to another site, cuz once you've gone DC world, you NEVER go back!

It was either volume 30 or 33, but there were a bunch of detectives gathered in a mansion, cut off from the world. There was a spoof of Humfree Bogart (Spelled wrong), I think one was jane Marple and Poirot, there was Hakuba from "Private Eyes Requiem" and more, I think. The chapter was called "The Kaitou Kid Game". IT is my fav.

Well, the manga is suffering slightly (They used to release it every two months, and the span between them is increasing every time). If you buy the manga, it can also pull you into the anime, which also helps. So there are two different things suffering; Anime and Manga. I don't like reading online, so I've bought volumes 1-33, as they've been released, and I'm waiting for the next one on the 17th or so...

It depends for me. Some puns are more American in the english dub, like smaller puns I may not understad (Becase I'm just that stupid) I like being able to hear the dialouge. If they somehow managed to dub it word-for-word, then I'd prefer english.

Well, I doubt Kid will kiss Ran... without being disguised as Kudo or something. That picture could be the image through Conan's eyes, seeing as he'd know if KID disguised as him. I think that's more believable.

I hate to play the lamest card avaliable, but what if we've seen the boss HUNDEREDS OF TIMES!? Like in the background of crowds or something, and maybe even once a suspect in a homicide case! Or maybe; Yoko's manager? Who knows? A few other possibilities; Ai. Pretending to have been betrayed (Perhaps her sister WAS killed, but still) One of Heiji's parents; They don't know about Ai, and Conan is just any other kid to them. Some short, fat dude (Not Chiba, though it would be a hoot) Short, fat guy with a high-pitched voice, wearing a rainbow jumpsuit, and Richard Simon's Headband. It's just a thought.

"It all started when I bought the first volume of "MAR Heaven" from Barnes an Noble, since I was into fighting back then, and they were fresh out of new books of "Ranma 1/2". I was going to complete the series, but I never got around to buying volume 2 (Though I did a few weeks ago). I kept re-reading the volume 1, until I eventually read the ads section. I saw an ad for "Case Closed" in the back. All it said was that a weird chemical shrunk a guy named Jimmy Kudo, and he was chasing some guys (I didn't like English names, and I didn't like his art back then), so I thought it looked like the lamest story in existence (Sorry, folks. That was THEN). However, I went to B & N a few months later, to find they were again, out of Ranma 1/2. I saw volumes 1-20 or so, and I picked up volume one and skimmed through it, trying to see just how lame it was. But I actually laughed aloud when Ran/Rachel punched the pole next to Jimmy/Shinichi, and when Rachel hugged Conan, and when Richard darted out of his office... I decided to buy the book and read through it. I instantly fell in love with the series, and bout books 3 or 4 at a time after vol. 1, and eventually ended up waiting for VIZ to release the next book. I now have volumes 1-33, and I'm waiting for 34. I'm also finally catching up on "Mar" and soon, I might try "Yu Yu Hakusho", since my friends seem to love it so much. Anyways, I then found out they sold season box sets. I didn't wanna buy em, until my GF got me season 2.1 (Which was missing the episode "Jack Attacks!" but I still loved it), and I soon started buying every season box set and movie, and the rest is history. I have seasons 1-3, and movies 1-6, and I intend to buy every last product so that FuniMation won't close the "Case Closed" franchise (By the way, I made a forum about how to help save it in the Anime Section. Check it out!)." "Wait!" said some guy in the corner or the rehabilitation room. "I thought we were here so we can stop our addiction, but your pretty enthusiastic! Maybe DC isn't a bad thing..." ATTENTION ALL CITIZENS OF DETECTIVE CONAN WORLD! THE US FRANCHISE OF DETECTIVE CONAN (A.K.A, Case Closed) IS GOING TO BE DISCONTINUED AFTER SEASON FIVE!!! Sorry for the explosive voice, but this is a crisis in my eyes. I have bought All manga, all of the movies and seasons 1-3, number one being the Viridian collection. I will buy 4 & 5, FYI... For those of you who don't know, the Movies were a test, set up by Funimation, to see if they still had a chance with Case Closed. They don't know that they do, and they are getting ready to close the door on it! In order to save Case Closed, we must buy ALL merchandise (And moderately soon) or no more will be released! To be honest, I prefer the Japanese version, but the English version is interesting and easier on the mind as well. Plus, they come with Jap audio, so you can watch it on your fancy wide screen plasma TV or whatever not. If you have a dvd player in your car, or a portable one, you can play DC on-the-go! They have trailers, extras, and a lotta cool stuff. So go out and help save "Case Closed"!

I know you are working very hard to bring the vids back, but PLEASE DO IT SOON! Please don't tell me to go to another site to watch It; I know a few, but once you go DC World, you never wanna go back! :'(

I've gotten many other friends into the series as well, and we would like to know, because we would love to see at least season 6, which introduces Vye Graythorne/Anita Hailey. If you are by any chance going to dub it, could you give an estimate on what time period it should hit the market? Thank you, and please reply soon!" The following is a reply: "Thank you for your email and interest in FUNimation. Unfortunately, there are no current plans to continue dubbing the episodes of Case Closed past season 5. The good news is you can keep up with Detective Conan through our releases of the Case Closed movies. Movies 1-5 are in stores now. Look for movie 6 later this winter. If we join together and buy as much of the Case Closed Franchise as possible, they will continue dubbing at least one more season. Buy Buy Buy! TIme is of the essence! But movies 1-6! Seasons 1-5! (Normal and Viridian if you're an extreme addict. If I am forgetting something with it, buy it too! Get friends into the series! Get family into it! Neighbors! Classmates! Colleagues! People! Hobos! Hobos with Televisions! Come on! Let's join together and save the Case Closed Anime! (P.S.- The books are fine for now, but they're release dates are stretching out. I buy every book possible for this reason (And I enjoy them a loy) and I reccommend you do this too. However, worry more about the Anime, not the Manga.) Hey, if it's not too much... Once the watch section is back up, could we have the same chatroom on the same pages as the videos so we can talk about more with DC while watching our favorite episodes?

I couldn't agree more, but in some, like the second movie, there were a few puns, that frankly, I didn't understand in the japanese version. As for wat they were, I don't remember... hahaha

I have my own idea too. What if, like you said, the Black Organization finds out his identity BUT instead of trying to kill him, they make him work for them, because no one suspects a child. So now, Conan has to defeat the organization while inside it! Obviously, he's at gunpoint, so they spot any funny business...

I'm buying ALL OF THE DVDs to support Funimation, and I even put up a post about the movies, telling everyone to do so. Though I've only been a DC fan for three years, I've grown so attached, people around me (In real life, not thru computer) are noticing my observation skills improving, and my mannerisms are actually acting like those of Shinichi's. I even bought the entire Holmes collection! Anyways, yeah, I'm buyin all movies and box sets of seasons as they are released. I can't wait for Movie Six!

it was SUPPOSED to be released TODAY! The release was 2009, and today is the LAST DAY OF THAT! I HAVE MONEY< AND I WANNA SPEND IT< SO WHY NOT?!?!?

Movie Three Has Already Been Released as of December 15th, 2009 Movie Four Has Been Released as of December 28th, 2009 Movie Five will be released January 19th, 2010 Movie Six will be released February 16t, 2010 Many of you have already heard of this, but consider the following: Funimation is going downhill. Yes, it is horrible. They may discontinue the release in the US (I think it's nice to be able to compare the Jap and Eng versions of DC) unless the purchase of Case Closed spikes dramatically. I am Buying all Season Box Sets, All of the Movies, and even the upcoming game for the Wii (It has Been Delayed as of December 31st). So Support our country! Let's try to keep Detective Conan/Case Closed in the US! (I understand those who hate the english names and such; I do too. But if you really love Detective Conan, you will respect it, for it was also Aoyama's idea to English-ify the names.)

Oh, and I'm surprised that Kudo has never once had Kaitou Kid help him. Like in movie 11, he helped save their lifes from Genta's bomb (Yeah, it's far different from smaller favors), but the time Kudo came back to Ran's school play, I assumed he had convinced kaitou kid to come their and act as him. I was wrong, obviously, but it would be a neat idea... (I'm sorry if I posted this on the wrong board; I'm a Newbie...)

I agree with the whole "Spaceship" thing. And to be honest, I think movies 1-11 were the good ones (Private Eye's Requeim was a favorite of mine), and I WAS disappointed with movies 12 and 13. The reason that the movies are loosing their thrill that they once had is because Aoyama plans to end the series soon, in case of overkill, such as this movie issue. He claims to have an ending already written since he finished manga volume one, but as far as we know, it's under lock and key, and iwll not be revealed until Aoyama has nothing left to offer.
