Yes I am quite sure that's true, as Chek pointed out it should definitely be at least a year(probably much more) until Rum gets to speak in the anime, so it's far too early to choose someone... I believe Gosho would take his time instead. I honestly think there isn't any reason for that really... I just believe it was to create hype, and sure as a fan I found that it was a much better choice than having a mail by Rum shown. Besides it's really not any kind of a clue, the voice is well masked and probably by a random voice actor, not even necessarily of the same gender as Rum so I find nothing wrong with it.

Wait I don't get it, when did the say that they made a contract with a VA for Rum's role? The obvious reason they masked his voice was to not let us know of his gender (I say his just to not keep typing his/her). Therefore, this was in no way a confirmation that Rum has already appeared. However, I do believe that this confirmed that the boss is someone who is a recurring character and also present in the movie, OR there is someone among the recurring characters(non-BO) who knows who the boss is and perhaps is an important member of the BO him/herself. My guess is that the person would be the boss him/herself, not just related to the boss. The fact that Gosho revealed the boss' identity confirms this I believe.

Yeah yesterday in the spoiler chat I considered that possibility too, but that would mean next file something very drastic will happen out of nowhere, so I don't really think it will be Shinichi. My bet is on Heiji, though I miss Kaito too

Yeah he was also the main antagonist in FMAB, great voice actor for such serious roles I think. Yes I believe it is a declaration that the boss is someone who has appeared in person and someone we know, not just a "full name" that could have appeared in books, logs, etc. I really think it is a recurring character and not someone who has not yet been introduced. After all, mystery is at its best when the culprit is someone we might have known for over 20 years but still didn't figure out who it is.

I don't expect Gosho to go any further with Ran and Vermouth, but then again why did he bring it up anyway? I am more interested in Bourbon and Okiya, he realized right away that Okiya took off the mask with his right hand. I am really curious about what Bourbon said at the very end of the last file, I don't think it was something important though because it was not translated. And well the main focus for the next file has gotta be Amuro/Okiya... I won't be surprised if Gosho goes as far as revealing Akai to Bourbon, would be interesting imo.

Maybe try google searching in English/Japanese/Chinese (depends on how many languages you can read). Btw what are these special volumes? In the Wiki I thought I only saw a couple of anime cases from special volumes(very early anime cases) I had no idea there are 40 volumes Also do they release new ones every few months or it has stopped already?

I think she might be the boss' daughter as the boss seems protective of her... and she probably isn't a lover/wife. By the way if she id the daughter the boss must be really old, then it might be true why Vermouth doesn't want information regarding the age reducing effects of silver bult let/APTX 4869 to be leaked as only she and the boss use it, maybe to even gain immortality.

Oh very interesting! When you say third character, I suppose the first and second are Akai and Bourbon right? What does that mean? Does it mean the third character would not be related to Akai/Amuro? By sneak peek do you mean certain scenes of the movie were leaked or something like that? Also can you please mention which character is mentioned in the spoilers? Oh thanks a lot! Wow that's a surprise, I did not expect Gosho to make her openly say it out yet... I guess Gosho has noticed a lot of his fans are catching up with the fact that Mary is probably Sera's mother. Is there a possibility that this is a red herring? I mean surely after a few seconds Sera would have realized she called Mary mama in front of Conan, but I don't think her reaction changed much, so she might be planning on discussing about Mary with Conan soon anyway. Also does mama have any other meaning in Japanese? Like a common nickname or something? If not I guess it's a clear declaration by Gosho then.

Yes I agree, it doesn't make sense if Gosho creates the questions he is supposed to answer live. Yes the picture of the woman does seem somewhat detailed, but not THAT detailed imo... like if you had to make a woman's silhouette it's hard to make it less detailed than that, hairline, dress, etc. should be the first things that come to mind anyway. Besides, the one who made the question might have simply included that woman because he/she, just like a lot of other DC fans knows about this Mary=MI6 theory and was kind of playing with Gosho by bringing up something Gosho hasn't revealed yet right in front of his face Btw what are you talking about in your last paragraph?

Yeah even I think as Chek pointed out this case might show another side of rum, i.e. old or strong. I doubt there is gonna be another BO case after this soon, as I think we won't get any BO case for a while after movie 20, on a side note really really glad that we get some BO characters in! Btw this has obviously been pointed out, but the shopping mall case was a foreshadowing on RUM's true description right? I think figuring out why people look at RUM in three forms(three completely different forms) is gonna be harder than the mall case but very interesting!

Yes I noticed it too, I don't think it has anything to do with what you say, it's just because now she looks more middle-school aged as Conan claimed her to look like. Earlier on I did point out she looks no different in age compared to the DB.

Wow this is turning out to be more interesting than I expected I feel a little uncomfortable about the cab driver, any opinions on that? I know it is true that it is very unlikely he would be related in any way, but just seems strange, like why show him in the first place? And those shiny glasses seem like something might be up with him, or maybe they were just too lazy to draw a full face. Btw this is like the fourth time a person related to BO that Conan might have got some info from is killed by someone completely unrelated? First one was Tequila, second one was the guy in Haibara's intro case, and third was the computer programmer guy. Hopefully Gin will actually appear in person soon, I have a feeling we are getting deeper into the RUM and Silver Bullet plot, MG probably has some info on both of them.

Depends on how much Gosho wants to focus on the plot and how much on the case for this one I believe. This part we can't be completely sure yet, there is always the possibility that Mary is not with her. Besides is this even the same hotel in which Sera lives? I suppose it's not been specified yet. I believe if Gosho trolls us and Mary isn't actually there, then the case would probably have more suspects and not be too obvious, and if Mary is indeed there and comes out with a fake identity, then maybe Gosho might consider Sera and Conan to have the talk they were supposed to have in the swimming pool case. I doubt if Mary is revealed Sera would be able to make up excuses to not talk about her anyway, so in this case the murder case itself probably won't be all that important and as you pointed out it might have just one obvious suspect. However, just how the computer programmer left some clues, I think even this guy might have left some clues about Houji's murder case as well that Conan and Sera might discover at the end of the case. And yes indeed has been a while for Conan and Kogoro alone When was the last time anyway? Though I think even Sera would assist Conan on this one.

Well at least those are my initial reactions to the spoilers I hope it turns out to be less obvious than that.

Yeah let's hope for more BO cases! Btw I doubt Rum's identity would be revealed any soon, because that girl in the movie trailer must be an obvious fake.
