Yeah agreed I find it interesting too. Though I don't mind Akai much. Still I guess Akai alone would have been better than having so much detail about his past and family Gosho made up later on. Also why isn't the FBI coming into any contact with that CIA spy(Hidemi?) for so long? Btw side question: Does all of the BO(including Bourbon, and of course Gin) think that Shiho is dead? They haven't mentioned her in SO long, therefore it didn't make sense when Akai left Camel to make sure she is safe, after all she stays alone quite often, and not that Agasa, or even Camel could do much if the BO found out where she is. The reason I am asking this is because obviously unlike Akai's fake death no body would have been found after the mystery train arc, so why isn't Gin questioning Vermouth and trying to get Shiho? Gosho completely side-stepped that part of the plot. I mean Yukiko did have this little conversation with Vermouth that if she doesn't get Ai this time she won't go after her anymore, but still why isn't Gin curious anymore? He tried so hard to get her for hundreds of episodes and now he just doesn't care?

Finally I'm caught up! Awesome! Wow I love it when Okiya and Conan work together, I like Okiya even more than Akai(even though they are the same lol)... guess because Okiya has always had this mystery factor to him. Nice last panel, looked very cool And as usual Gosho trolled us He made them realize the code and hurry back to their homes so that they don't discuss what they said they would after the case ends, keep it up Gosho! My opinion: I don't think Asaka is Rum, I highly doubt the #2 of BO would work as a body guard. Also as is obvious I also have suspicions about why the crime scenes were so messy since we suppose the BO did it. And of course there is this suspicious guy uploading information without the BO raising an eyebrow. Assuming the guy is close to Koji, who could he/she be then? Oh and not to forget Akai's mention of his dad, so his dad wasn't in the FBI, so what on earth? I have a kind of semi-theory, what do you think about the Akai parents being ex-BO members, and maybe even Koji being one of them? Obviously we know even celebrities like Koji could be members since Vermouth is also a celebrity. It would also make sense since Akai's supposed aunt was Elena, though I admit this theory is highly unlikely. PS: Could Asaka still be alive and be the one who uploads info? She could have been framed after all. I think a reason to that could be that we "remove" ASACA from the code to get RUM, the apparent reason is that Asaka is rum, but another way to look at it is that the message says "Asaka was framed, it was RUM". I really hope Conan and Akai talk more about this stuff soon

Omg so much has happened in the past few weeks! Let's hope movie 20 sheds more light on the subject Though 99% it will be completely non-canon. Could anyone please tell me which file did these developments start? 947? I wish I catch up by end of this week

I wonder if his reference to volume 18 is really about Haneda...he says somebody might show up and his/her name would surprise us, if it is really the Haneda in the list he/she won't show up because that person was confirmed dead. Gosho seemed somewhat annoyed didn't he? I don't think the guy who was questioning was well prepared, and asking questions like who is mg, or is vermouth an ally just seemed to be wasting time, obviously Gosho can't answer such questions. Yeah so it seems really interesting now It's going to be a three-way clash among Bourbon, Akai and the BO. The one representing BO would mainly be Gin I guess, but might even be Rum because Gosho said the movie will mainly deal with the "rats" conversation between Vermouth and Bourbon. Though now I think we might get quite a bit of plot in the next few cases, and really looking forward to the volume 18 secret!

I think he probably doesn't care. It is because in the Ramen case when Yumi and Sera were calling someone and their calls had a weird synchronicity Conan had that face which means he noticed it surely was odd. Whether or not he is 100% sure if Shuukichi is the middle brother from that, he would have surely pushed Sera, or maybe even Akai if he had any interest at all. However since Conan believes the middle brother is not related to police, FBI, etc. in any way he doesn't really have a reason to be interested in him.

Does anyone think Conan will try to confront Shuukichi in the current case? Probably not though.

Yeah, and that is exactly what bothers me. Obviously if they keep on using that drug several people should ideally shrink... so if we suppose the chance to shrink is 1/100 and they used it on about 300 people so far it is natural to assume 3 would shrink. Also, since ideally it's not even been a year since they used it on Shinichi, they wouldn't have had time to use it on thousands of people, few hundreds at most. Now let's suppose only 3 have shrunk so far, what is the chance of ALL of them being relevant and not just a random victim? By relevant I mean someone like Shinichi or Shiho or Mrs. Akai of course... the chance of all 3 of them being shrunk and not even one of them being killed is way too low... and more importantly not a single other person out of the hundreds of others has shrunk yet... again what are even the chances? I think maybe, just a possibility is that certain people are just immune to dying from it and shrink instead... if we suppose Shiho, or her parents made it in a way that anybody related to them(which would include Mrs. Akai) if consumes it, they would not die and instead shrink... but then of course Shinichi shouldn't have shrunk. Don't get me wrong though, I'm just suggesting that it would be sooo lucky for these guys to shrink from it and not die unless there is a logic behind it, such as immunity from it for certain people like I mentioned above. Also to add even I believe in the MG = Mrs. Akai theory, it seems the most logical one as of now.

It might simply be English alphabets and numbers, but very often your password must have both upper and lower cases or special characters, so it seems a quite complicated. Oh and for a side question, does anyone know when the 2nd trailer for movie 20 is expected? The first one simply seemed like a picture slideshow with voice actors speaking random stuff lol. Kawanakajima : Very interesting, I always like cases with Kan-chan so this was probably my most favourite case from last year(Kamaitachi was also great imo, so two great cases in a row!) Blog : I never understood how Conan knew right away that the culprit was involved in a hit and run just because of those manga, not a bad db case though. Shinichi boy Ran girl: Quite a unique case, Conan might have been a bit too sharp for his age though, was it 4? Also the motive was insane, kidnapping a girl just so you can adopt her... lol. Yoko & Higo: Didn't read it yet Maybe soon, just saw the first file though, seemed quite interesting and it surely had the best Haibara faces in dc xD Ramen Revisited: I somewhat like this, not over-complicated and also quite logical, also it didn't have a crazy motive or a trick that you can't make up in moments unless you have IQ 200 like many of the other cases in dc Zombie Movie Murder Case: Yeah not as good as Kamaitachi or Vampire when it comes to mystery but it definitely was a success when it came to horror! I guess Gosho was practicing drawing horror manga and he did a great job imo, the case was also fairly decent of course, can't wait for its animation! Though I never understood why Gosho made Kogoro ill, maybe just to make him look more zombie-like Girl Band: Only read the first file yet because it was very hard to follow in Japanese, now that we have it in English should I give it a shot? Department Store Stabbing: Quite simple yet logical, just like the Ramen case Also both this and the ramen one had a bit of plot so not bad. This was also somewhat of a copy-paste from the metropolitan case and also had Takagi, so it was quite nostalgic! xD UFO case: Can't buy the idea of that girl mistaking a balloon for a UFO lol, but I learned something new, that is how to make a flying balloon using normal air instead of helium so it was cool Imo would have been better if we had one or two more suspects. Lots of good cases in DC this yet Happy 20th Anniversary for its anime too! ^^

Yeah, Bourbon shouldn't really have a reason to investigate much on Conan, just knowing that he is on par with his intelligence and that he is on the FBI's side and against the BO should be enough info for Bourbon. Gosho would solely focus on Bourbon vs. Akai for now, and maybe someday they will team up and go against the BO.

Could there have been another Akemi sister? The main problem with that obviously is that MG is about 3 years younger than Shiho and Shiho's parents died soon after she was born. Also as mentioned before MG is way too mature and intelligent when compared to other middle-schoolers in dc. So we are still left with the MG = Mrs. Akai theory. My concern is that even though that is what Gosho has been implying to us mainly, for example even recently when Conan thought MG resembles Haibara quite a bit, I am quite confused as to how she turned into a kid. I mean aptx 4869's first victim was Conan(from what Gin said) unless Mrs. Akai consumed it before that either mistakenly or as a test, but that would have only been possible if Shiho and Mrs. Akai had been in close contact, which is almost out of question since Ai hasn't said anything about it and also since Mrs. Akai supposedly was living in USA during that time. If she consumed it after Shinichi then why or how? The only ones with it must have been the BO, so why would they make her consume it? Could it be because she was a spy or something? A big hole in any theory that says Mrs. Akai consumed aptx 4869 is that the odds that she didn't die from it is SO low! I mean BO must have used it on hundreds, if not thousands of other victims, that means none except Conan and Haibara shrunk so far out of the hundreds or thousands. So the chance of neither Conan nor Haibara not dying from it is extremely low in itself, but that should not be taken seriously because Gosho probably didn't think too much about it since the manga was still in its early stages back then, but another person taking it and shrinking without even being noticed by the BO is way too much. Again there are theories saying she consumed a prototype form of aptx 4869 called silver bullet, but I believe that is also quite unlikely because we haven't been hinted on anything like that by Gosho, and besides even the name "silver bullet" that the organisation gives to people who they think can destroy the entire BO doesn't seem to have any similarities with a drug made for shrinking, since it would be natural to assume they must have some connection if they were to be named the same. Maybe I am thinking too much about it, it might be a simple explanation that I am completely overlooking, but so far it seems MG's mystery isn't going to be revealed any soon.

Um just a random post, does anyone think what Sera said in ep. 651 about her mother was of any significance? Like she said "My mama is also skinny but has large breasts, no Ran-chan?" To which Ran thought to herself "I have never met her though". At that time it clearly seemed like a joke but just maybe it might be of some use now, has anyone pointed this out yet? Btw I'm posting this here because many believe MG is probably the Akai mother. Oh and this also confirms Ran and Sera's mother met before, so that's why Ran thought she saw MG before... what do you all think of this?

Well I mean I'm not saying Rum will necessarily appear in the movie, just that those eyes are clearly meant to be his... and yes of course that might just be to create a hype and especially since Gosho didn't mention much about Rum being in this movie. However, again, I think they are Rum's eyes... why? Well because I think it's almost time for us to know more about him... and those eyes may remove some suspects from our suspect lists if they are confirmed to be Rum's, but I'm not convinced with any of the suspects yet so I don't think that it's a very big deal that a movie can't have seeing even Akai=Subaru was revealed in a movie. I would also rather have another Kid disguised as Shinichi movie than another movie with non-canon BO members to be honest

Those are totally Rum's eyes What interests me is that they resemble... a lot to the Akai family's eyes. This might however be a total coincidence because even Scotch kinda resembled the Akai's but let's hope there is something more to it.

Is there any way Scotch could be Wataru Date? I mean of course that would be way too obvious then, but any solid proof to make it impossible? I forgot but could somebody please remind me when Date died? If he died over 4 years ago he would have an "alibi". Besides, if that is not the case I really don't understand what role Date plays in the plot, he clearly had very strong ties with Bourbon which would be unnecessary unless Gosho has something in mind. If he is indeed Scotch, his existence in the manga would make far more sense. Even if not Scotch, he might be related to him in some way. I think this is worth a thought.
