  1. I'm too tired to think of anything witty, but at least I'm winning.
  2. Sure, just think of how you would feel in their situation. Is it possible for me to find someone to help me program a video game without having to pay them a fortune?
  3. I would rather die than be forced to do the thing I despise most, so I would just tell them to kill me. What would you do if you you won $10 million?
  4. Not often, but when I do, I am quite good at losing! Plays RPGs?
  5. Okay, I kind of addressed this a little on the anime board topic about the episode one special, but I wanted to dive into it a bit deeper, which would be off topic for that thread. So, with the announcement of "Chiba's Difficult UFO Case" as episodes 847 and 848 of the anime, that brings the anime adaptation almost to the end of manga volume 89. With one exception. The flashback case from volume 87 which showed us how Ran and Shinichi first met STILL has not made it to the anime (unless you want to count the manga scenes included in the opening of the episode one special). I find this odd and a bit annoying considering the fact that ALL cases before it as well as at least half a dozen after it have been adapted in some form for the anime series. This was a very good case in the manga, giving some good insight into Ran and Shinichi's history, so why would the animators have skipped over it? Are they EVER going to adapt it? And, if they're not, why would they tease us with those images in the opening of the special? But, if they are, why are they waiting so long to do so, meanwhile adapting later cases (some with little or no plot significance) not to mention the slew of AOs that have aired since the point when that case SHOULD have been adapted? Does the fact that they included manga scenes from that case in the opening of the special have any significance, maybe a hint that the adaptation will be coming soon, or is it just a coincidence? Has anyone seen anything about the status of this case with regards to the anime? I really want to know what's up with it.
  6. Thanks for letting me know where to find it! So, about the opening of the special; I thought it was cool that they used the original opening theme. But what about the manga pictures it featured? I noticed quite a few from the flashback case about how Shinichi and Ran first met. A case that, as of yet, has not made the manga to anime transition, even though there all cases before it and a number of cases following it have already been adapted. So, what do you guys think the inclusion of those manga scenes means? Do you think it the animators' way of saying, "we haven't forgotten this one," and hinting it will be forthcoming soon? Do you think they included those scenes so the anime audience can get a feel for how Ran and Shinichi met without that case being adapted? Or do you think that it has nothing to do with whether or not that case will ever be adapted and was included by coincidence only because it fit the themes of backstory and beginnings? Just curious.
  7. It's only stretching if the way it is done or explained is contrived or implausible. As I said, with enough imagination, a believable way could be found for Kogoro to be the boss. It's not called stretching or reaching, it's called creativity. However, now that I am aware of Kogoro having internal monologues in which he is oblivious to what is going on (which I did not know at the time I first suggested it), I have acknowledged that he is not Anokata. In other words, I said, "You're right, it's not him," and you still have to argue. Just wow. Okay, so who are you suggesting this hint points to, then?
  8. If you knew it didn't have that, why did you post that link as a response to my comment about wishing to read the interview to which you had previously referred in which Aoyama-sensei confirmed what you mentioned? And the only mention of Akemi and Akai I had in my post was saying that I found no mention of them in the interview for which you had posted a link. How are their names spoilers? Or is the fact that they weren't mentioned in the interview the spoiler? The fact that the first interview does not have any questions or answers about Akai and Akemi reveals nothing about the anime or manga of Detective Conan, so there is no reason to put it in a spoiler box. The only time I did have anything that was a spoiler was several posts ago with the quote from you, in which the spoiler was in a box just as in your post I quoted. Okay, that interview had the question and answer I was looking for. Thank you.
  9. I agree with d7o. I've been looking for the sub ever since the special aired in Japan. Don't need a direct link to the page with the video. Just tell me what the hosting site is and I can navigate it myself. That way, I can see the special, you don't break forum rules, and everyone is happy!
  10. Forgot to number my last one, and it seems to have thrown off the numbering since. So, picking up where it should be . . . #58. You know you're a Detective Conan fan when the new anime episode and manga chapter are the only things you look forward to each week.
  11. I accept that. DCW's Naruto maniac
  12. Lace onee of Conan's knockout darts with poison and trick him into shooting you with it. Toenail clippings (lol, good luck with that one).
  13. Try swimming across the Pacific Ocean. You'll definitely drown before you get there, or possibly get eaten by something.
