  1. All I'm saying that there's a possibility of Haneda's murder being necessary for smoothly murdering Amanda. If we look at the things Amanda was wary that someone is after her, that's why she got a Bodyguard. Amanda was staying in a Hotel in USA, so it's highly unlikely that someone just comes in and murders her. If anyone wanted to murder her, they would have to pose as her visitor. But Amanda was wary and she won't let anyone in, without proper scrutiny. Suddenly her old acquaintance Haneda Koji comes up and stayed in the same Hotel. She trusted Haneda Kojhi. It's fairly easy for someone to pose as Haneda and then hand her the poisoned stuff. As she trusted Haneda , the culprit didn't even need to force it. But if the real Koji comes up then the whole plan is going to fail. That's why Koji was murdered so that whole thing remain underneath. This also explains that why the BG, wasn't able to stop the killer.
  2. That can be very well an error by Gosho. There are panels where he forgets to add the mask on a the lady in the 3 different silhouette suspect case. Also we can use this chart for reference
  3. Fine, all I said was that he's ignoring such possibilities. It's nothing of an attack, though he called my theory baseless, despite it being just a theory. Fine I'll relent. Though I never dis-acknowledged theory, but the fact remains it's still theory, I only want to get my theory which is also consistent with the source material. Now asking direct questions like "How Rum is a sure shot disguiser ?" is also the same issue which you have pointed out. But why the interpretation that Haneda's murder was a last minute decision and a collateral damage is consistent with the story but Haneda's murder being a part of the bigger plan(Amanda's murder) is not? Can you elaborate on that?
  4. Where does the evidence come from? 1) Why despite having a bodyguard Amanda's assassination was smooth while Haneda's being messy? 2)Your theory fails to answer it, you just clung on to the posthoc fallacy plus the illogical association fallacy, "That Haneda's room was messy, he left a dying message. So He was the last to be killed, because the cleanup wasn't done." 3)Here you miserably ignore the point that Haneda's room being messy doesn't mean Haneda was murdered in later point of time than Amanda's murder. It means something more, Rum was able to circumvent the Amanda's bodyguard but wasn't able to kill Haneda without making a mess. 4) So how could Rum was able to easily dodge Asaka but wasn't so lucky with Haneda's murder? 5) Only option is Rum posed as someone very close to Amanda to get the access to her and circumventing Asaka. 6) Haneda had a prior acquaintance with Amanda, it was there to be exploited by Rum. 7) When we were introduced to the case we're being primed by Conan to think that Haneda's case was just a collateral issue not the real deal. 8) You just being another primed person is trying desperately to think Haneda murder as collateral damage you don't consider that it could have been the part of the plan. 9) Rumi showed a triggering response when someone mentioned about being hurt enough to use a prosthetic. 10) Rumi also thinks that there would be people interested in her and they won't be the one who had learnt recently about her from the news. 11) Rumi also showed considerable fighting skills, so for me the person who clashed with Rum was Rumi and Akai senior clashed with somebody else, like probably when he was investigating Rum while being in the CIA.
  5. Not baseless if you look closely. Do you have any proof to suggest that which was the first murder to take place? Do You have any reason to back up why Amanda was killed effortlessly in her room despite having a BG but Haneda was killed and and his room was a terrible mess? Amanda and Haneda knew each other so Rum disguised as Haneda had better chance to knock off Amanda despite the presence of the Body Guard. If You care to take a look you're delving into a fallacy which indicates that Event A was more likely than Event B, so event A must have preceded Event B, like how Kohji's murder was done after Amanda's. Where is the implication that Rum isn't a disguiser? Here I see, you're missing a key point, that despite the presence of the Bodyguard Rum disposed off Amanda without making a fuss but got his ass handed in Kohji's case who didn't have a bodyguard? Now ASACA==Rum is nullified by the dying message analysis, so the only thing remains that Rum was able to circumvent the bodyguard and killed Amanda. To do that Rum needs access to Amanda without any suspicion, now Haneda was a trusted acquaintance of Amanda. Now it's impossible for Haneda Kohji to be Rum himself, so despite looking odd, the possible solution is that Rum decided to kill Haneda, take his place then kill Amanda, in this way Rum doesn't need to ruffle his feathers with the bodyguard. Haneda wasn't a trained fighter so killing him would have been an easy thing for Rum. Maybe Rum even thought of leaving hoim alive just to be framed for the murder, because after the death of Amanda the BG might have raised a hue and cry and testified that before her death Amanda was with Kohji, so Kohji would have been seriously gotten stuck and Rum goes out scot free. It's no more baseless than any theory prevailing in this forum, Like How Mary is Asaca, or How Rumi is Vermouth despite tonnes of evidence suggesting otherwise.
  6. If you're to hear my theory then it's like this. Muga was Asaca the bodyguard of Amanda. Rum killed Amanda by circumventing the bodyguard. We know that Haneda and Amanda were on good terms. So Rum disguised as Haneda to kill Amanda. He entered into Haneda's room by impersonating someone close to Haneda.(Probably Wakasa Rumi) Kills Haneda and takes his place and then waits for Amanda to visit his room. Poisons the cake, using SB/prototype of APTX. Amanda eats it and leaves and dies in her room. Probably Rum might have used some delayed release mechanism. Muga(Asaka) is unaware of this stuff. Muga escorts Amanda to her room, meanwhile Rum is cleaning up. The real Rumi enters and sees the whole mess, instantly attacks Rum. Rumi and Rum fight tooth and nail, but Rumi gets better off Rum and injures one of his eyes. Rum retreats. Rumi sees the whole mess and retreats as probably the authorities would suspect her. As the dying message was her name, cause Rum disguised as Rumi. Meanwhile Amanda dies and Muga figures the stuff out rushes to Haneda's room to confront him. Meanwhile Akai senior(The CIA element of the case) goes to check on Haneda as Haneda was somehow related to the Akai's. Sees Muga lurking around suspiciously, confronts him but Muga escapes. That's how I think the whole case transpired.
  7. I'll, because there's none to back up his claim, just like Subaru.
  8. That's the most important point to ponder over. Despite the letters "A,S,A,C,A,R,U,M" being present in a plethora of Japanese names Kuroda thinks it's a part of Wakasa Rumi. Why he needs to think like that? To me it appeared that her name triggered something only when Kuroda saw her picture. I agree to that. That person is probably Rum in disguise. I think it was Rumi who clashed with the culprit. Probably she is the reason for Rum's prosthetic eye. Kuroda blurted out the elementary school teacher part to deflect the suspicion of him spying Rumi. It never disproves that he hasn't seen her before.
  9. His age is fake. I think Asaka is around late 30's to early forties. But his appearance as Iori makes him 30.
  10. You can conclude that Kuroda was talking about the culprit but let's ponder over this point, Why did Kuroda interpreted the dying message as "Wakasa RUM"? The only possible reason is that he saw the same woman lurking around the crime scene 17 years ago, but had no idea about her name. So now her name gave Kuroda a great lead to implicate her as the killer but Kuroda can't use his own testimony as then it'll blow up his cover. That's why he is only observing Rumi and trying to catch her red-handed. But the person whom he saw back then was probably someone in disguise. Rumi also tried to know that how Kuroda knew her name, but Kuroda never knew her, Kuroda saw Rum cosplaying Rumi.
  11. For me it's Iori. Iori fits the body-guard profile. BTW I've researched the name Iori Muga for reference. It seems that Iori= To become softer/meeker and Muga= Self renunciation. It's not like any pointing fact but his name suggests that he's become softer due to self renunciation. Wakasa Rumi, becomes Rumi=refugee, Wakasa= Youth. Someone who's a refugee since her youth. Wakita Kanenori becomes, Wakita=to ferment, Kane=golden, Nori=starch. Now we have a variety of golden molasses used in fermentaion to obtain Rum. Huye Kuroda becomes, Huye= a label, Kuroda= black diamond. Someone under the guise and really is as tough as a black diamond.
  12. Well, this is the Asaka poll, Rum poll will follow suit.
  13. But then being suspicious of Waksa Rumi, won't make any sense. There can be a plethora of Wakasa Rumis or people who had all the characters of the dying message in their name, but when the person Wakasa Rumi appears, Kuroda was quick to take notice of her name. So just because her name involves the characters Kuroda won't suspect her unless she was also present around the crime scene 17 years ago. Now it can be argued that whether the Wakasa Rumi, whom Kuroda had met was the real deal or not? Kuroda being unsure of Wakasa Rumi's true identity used the gender neutral term.
  14. First let's glance over the facts/data of their conversation in the Burning tent case. No sooner Kuroda had appeared than Rumi shot a death-glare at him. Rumi was desperately suggesting that Kuroda was there to keep a tab on someone. Kuroda deflected her charges and said that he didn't have the habit to associate bad things with an elementary school teacher. Let's also use the information that was presented in the first chapter of the said case. Kuroda was surfing through websites which showed Rumi's heroics and He was pondering on her name "Wakasa Rumi, huh." He also pondered about the Kohji case and the dying message.(The background) He also mentioned that the said person hadn't been like this.(Said person was referred to Rumi) Conclusions Kuroda interpreted the dying message as a fraction of "Wakasa Rumi." Even if the name appeared in the dying message, how Kuroda can be so sure that this Wakasa Rumi was mentioned, it can only be possible that Kuroda saw Rumi during the Kohji case but hadn't known her name back then. So he was missing a piece in the puzzle, which he got after the newspaper article. The second conclusion also supports the fact that Kuroda knew Rumi enough to make a comment about her preferences, but didn't know her name. Which implies that despite their meeting they didn't exchange their names. Even if Rumi thought that Kuroda was suspicious and spying on her, there was no reason for her to glare at him. If he really was spying then this act would only strengthen his doubt. So this means Kuroda's appearance was met with disdain by Rumi and she didn't hide the fact.
  15. Highly unlikely. Prototype of SB is a sure-shot killer, else Rum wouldn't have used it. BTW even if that suggestion is true it isn't emotional enough to make her wear her heart on her sleeves in-front of random people, because the enmity is professional not personal. It killed Haneda and it wasn't APTX. Also it's highly likely that ASACA's disappearance wasn't the cause of Silver-bullet. There's no evidence that a fight broke into Amanda's room, the most likely place of the clash between Asaca and Rum. Two cases concerning Asaca popped up in the recent past. In none we see Rumi. We saw Vermouth and Bourbon in one, but Bourbon was following orders and Vermouth was keeping a tab on Bourbon so that he won't be breaking the promise. Now in the second case there's no mention of anyone from BO around the scene. Now we see Gin thinking of investigating Kogoro for his supposed involvement in the case and says the Koji case is Rum's headache. Now Gin's statement makes way for Rum to enter the playing field, Rum is jittered by the mention of the "ASACA stuffs and online uploads." It's highly likely that Rum is already prowling around Beika, investigating possible links and Rumi wants to settle the score with him for once and for all. [A little reconstruction]On the contrary a fight broke out in Haneda's room. It might be the result of the fight between Rum and Haneda in which Rum prevailed and made him take the poison. Somehow Haneda left a dying message. Haneda knew the name of the person being impersonated by Rum. Now someone else comes into the room and starts clashing with Rum, Rum gets the better of that person, but the person somehow lands some blows on Rum. Another one probably comes in Rum withdraws. So Rum wasn't able to clean up the mess. Real Asaca finds Amanda lying dead, gets paranoid as Asaca is the prime suspect of the Amanda murder case because it's been done under her/his watch, goes under ground for self preservation and probably still investigating the murder. Rumi= The person clashed directly with Rum and forced him to withdraw. Akai senior= The firstone to take on Rum. Asaca= Bishonen Iori. Rum= Wakita( currently sets his one eye on Kogoro.)
  16. During the burning tent case Rumi got really triggered after a guy mentioned about prosthetic but there are some inconsistencies which I've noticed. The popular theory is that Rumi hates the guts of someone with a prosthetic eye,(Rum). So this means Rumi must know that Rum has a Prosthetic eye. But Rumi isn't from BO, else she would have wrecked Rum from within. She wouldn't slugging it out in the public realm but the conversation wasn't entirely about the Prosthetic eye. The man said that he was injured to such an extent that he almost had to opt for a Prosthetic eye. And Rumi got triggered after hearing that statement. So it can be interpreted as that statement triggered a very hated memory of her's and it involves a fierce fight with someone , where either her adversary hurt her enough that she needs to wear a Prosthetic eye or She hurt her adversary enough that the adversary needs a Prosthetic eye. So it's very much probable that Rumi fought with Rum in Haneda's room, while Haneda was already dead.
  17. How about this little game? Gin and Vodka are lying dead, there's water everywhere along with glass shards. There's also a soccerball lying around. What had happened?
  18. But then the Police would have known that there were two people living in that room. Amanda can't just flout the Hotel's norms. Also there's the possibility of a fourth party, other than Rum, Akai senior and Asaca. Btw liked my puzzle?
  19. Then why she/he did even mention that there's a lack of pictures regarding Asaca? Why the only possible picture shows a person obstructing the camera, if Asaca wasn't Photophobic why did Asaca obstructed the camera? Why Asaca would even mention that the hiring was murkier if it makes Asaca more suspicious? She/he could have just ignored it. Use Bayesian reasoning here, given the fact that up-loader has described Asaca as someone absconding, photophobic and mysteriously hired, what is the probability of the Up-loader being Asaca? I can give you the example of Monty-Hall problem with a little tweak. Here you have three doors and behind one of the door Vermouth is waiting to give you a bottle of wine. Behind the other two doors there's Rum and Gin respectively, with their guns. Your objective is to choose the door behind which there's Vermouth. If You choose one of the doors behind which Gin or Rum is standing, they will shoot you. Now the game show host Mouri Kogoro suggests you a door. You can choose it or you can choose any other door. One of the two doors which you haven't chosen would be opened. Now if the opened door displays Vermouth with the wine bottle you're dead. Kogoro will kill you. If the opened door displays either Gin or Rum you get to live and you can even change your choice? What would you do? What would be your strategy? Employ the same reasoning here, btw Kogoro is drunk so his suggestions are purely random.
  20. That's a printing mistake ,mate. I meant that if ASaca was a girl then she would have shared the room with Amanda and the Hotel authorities would have found it out. The Police, CIA and FBI everyone would have known the fact as Hotel registers won't have lied. BTW if ASACA was the uploader then he/she would have also eased out the suspicious descriptions about him/herself, like how Asaka was photophobic and her hiring process is under mystery. But if the Uploader is a third party then it fits.
  21. Because Subaru-san chose FBI over CIA. Despite his father was in CIA he chose FBI, this means being in FBI provided him a better playing field. Now Amanda was closer to both CIA and FBI, despite the involvement of CIA(through Akai-senior) we don't see a trace of FBI in the investigation. This means FBI was already in the mix (as both organizations are independent authorities). Now ASACA the body guard didn't like to be photographed and virtually nothing is known about the how she/he was hired in the first place. Any ordinary bodyguard won't be this secretive, so it's highly likely that ASACA was a designated FBI guy/girl. (Guy in my opinion else would have shared the room with Amanda. If room sharing was the case then it would have mentioned in the blog, it's a key point. I can't imagine a cautious uploader missing it out.) That's another way to phrase it, prosthetic triggers the anger towards someone and emotional attachment towards that thing. We know it Jolly well. During the cafe poirot stabbing case, Iori rushed towards the exit to make sure that the culprit couldn't escape. In a dark environment Iori is confident enough to take on an assailant(probably armed). That's some self confidence. http://circuit-magazine.com/what-are-the-characteristics-of-a-good-bodyguard/ I guess this link will help a lot. As you must have read my lengthy gripe in Reddit about different fallacies used by Gosho. In Iori's case I think he primed us to think his qualities as that of an Assasin's not of a bodyguard's. Again Gosho's fallacy is at work. It's pretty evident that Wakita lacks femininity but who ensures that Wakita's true appearance is that? Maybe he's a Vermouth level cosplayer. Also we're missing a key point in Gin's conversation with Vodka. He says, "That was a job which Rum screwed up, it doesn't concern me. But I'm interested in Kogoro's involvement." Now anybody would be thinking that Gin is the one to make a move not Rum as his point of interest is already gone. But wait a second, we are assuming two things beforehand. Rum has lost interest and Gin's interest is piqued. But Kogoro-ojisan was invited by the soul detective, not the other way round. BO has already Bourbon to look around Kogoro as he just works beneath his agency, so Gin's idea would be about employing Bourbon. But the real Rum would become very nervous due to this Online leaks and Hotta Gaito case, so Rum has a motive to get closer to Kogoro and figure out that whether he knows anything about the Case or not. He doesn't want to become Kogoro's disciple he wants to accompany him to scene of murder not Kogoro's next case. This proves wakita isn't intending to learn Kogoro's methods he just wants to accompany him to a murder case. Now Rum killed Haneda Kohji without even verifying that whether Haneda was really needed to be killed or not, I think the thinking matches here. Nip it in the bud. If a detective gets killed while investigating a crime scene isn't that much suspicion arising. I previously was blind towards these facts now I see them in a newer light. Thanks to the last case I know how devious Gosho can be with his fallacies.
  22. I've also attached the following diagram. I've discovered something in Kohji case which I previously missed out. The Dying message of Haneda Kohji were these Roman letters, "A,S,A,C,A,R,U,M". We can safely assume it was directed towards the murderer and the murderer's name was known by Kohji. It a fact that RUM was the perpetrator of the dual murders. So it must have been directed towards RUM, but Haneda was an unrelated person to the BO, he had no chance to know the code name of RUM. The mysterious bodyguard of Amanda(the other victim) did go missing after the case and is yet to surface, Asaca is the prime accused. Even if Rum was Asaca, the the dying message would have just been ASACA, the extra R,M,U make no sense, why a dying person would try to waste his last ounce of strength on something irrelevant, even if we can argue that R,M was the part of Mascara, even then why did he cut out the U separately, this means all the letters would be required in the dying message and it means neither ASACA nor RUM. So this clears that Asaca wasn't Rum. Now in the current timeline during the glass-cutting case Subaru-san mentioned that his father's involvement in the a fore mentioned case was his reason to join FBI but his father never worked for FBI. Probably if we go by the hint, he was in CIA. Then why Akai/Subaru-san didn't join CIA, instead of FBI? This means FBI had more information about this case than CIA and it's to be noted that Amanda was closer to both CIA and FBI. Now we know from past records that ASACA was photo-phobic and the circumstances of her employment was also murky. Any common bodyguard won't be that sort of secretive, the reluctance of being photographed can be explained as heightened security measure but why the circumstances about the employment is so murky. It forced me to conclude that ASACA was the designated bodyguard from the FBI. Also Sera's Mama terms the inputs of the soul detective, "Asaca was a woman and she was seen with the mirror found in the crime scene." which forces me to think that are these really true claims? If Amanda was at such a risk and Asaca was a woman, why didn't they share the room. It would have been fool-proof , but that wasn't the case, which forces me to think Asaca wasn't a woman and there was another woman with the mirror, who the soul detective mistook as Asaca. The woman with the mirror might have been a close contact of Haneda/or Rum disguised as the woman to get access to Haneda. Because Haneda's murder was unplanned and Rum only intended to kill Amanda, but Haneda got involved due to Amanda's visit and Rum killed Haneda to erase the traces. So the dying message was directed towards the woman as whom Rum disguised himself. There's also an persevering uploader of the case, whose blog despite being taken down at regular intervals, still manages to upload the key stuff about the Kohji case. The uploader has exclusive photos of the crime scene and knows about the bodyguard ASACA and the mysterious hiring process of Asaca. So the uploader had access to such sensitive information as if the up-loader was visibly present during the whole case. It also makes me think that the uploader is the woman, the same woman who was impersonated by RUM to kill those two. Now in the current RUM arc suspicious characters we are getting people fitting the descriptions, Chief Kuroda : Is very much interested in the case. Is interpreting the dying message as Wakasa Rumi. Probably Akai senior. Wakasa Rumi : Testing Conan's mettle by throwing unsolved mysteries at him. Shows more than enough to think she's something else than a Elementary school teacher, had a verbal spat with Kuroda, well versed in reverse psychology(burning tent case), has a hatred towards the word prosthetic, has some emotional attachment with something in her patch pocket, hates one eyed men. Probably The Uploader. Iori Muga : A devilishly charming Bishonen Butler, in the cafe case just after hearing the scream runs to guard the door so that the assilant can't escape. Has confidence in hand to hand combat and thinks that screams equal life threatening attacks. Perfect Asaca candidate. Wakita : The most intriguing one of the lot. Dspite being a sucshi chef wants to accompany Kogoro in only murder cases. Gin mentioned that Soul detective was Rum's headache and Kogoro's involvement in it was his. But Kogoro was invited by the soul detective, not the other way around. Now soul detective is dead and Rum's very anxious about recent stuff which involves him and surfacing at definite intervals. Perfect Rum candidate.

  24. Now that you mention it, the discrepancy of the "Haneda's code" gets addressed properly. Haneda by no chance would have known the code-name "RUM". So his dying message was probably towards someone else. In the last case file Gosho used Post-hoc fallacy, so it would be illogical to think that a person is cos-playing as Wakasa Rumi which resembles Haneda's dying message, to grab someone's attention. On the other hand if the message itself pointed towards Wakasa Rumi then the whole thing makes sense. Maybe Rum cosplayed Asaka to kill Amanda and Kohji, which makes it more believable and Asaka was Wakasa Rumi's alias. BTW what're your thought about Wakita?
