Ran Mouri and Shinichi

I agree with everyone that says Ran and Shinichi make a REALLY good couple, but the ConAi fans have a good point too. Shinichi could feasibly go with either of them, but I'm still leaning towards the ShinRan fans. Haibara is too solitary and aloof for him, and Ran is Shinichi's best friend, who's been with him since childhood and helped him a lot (plus, they live together). However, if Conan never turns back into Shinichi (which would totally ruin the story for me) then I can seriously imagine him with Haibara.

I think that he had one cellphone up until Episode 400 and then started using 2 because Ran was getting suspicious. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I saw him with two cellphones several times but I don't know which episodes or manga files they were in.

There is less proof for Ai not liking Mitsuhiko than for Conan not liking Ai. When Ai sprained her ankle in the woods in the ep. Mushrooms, Bears, and the Detective Boys, Mitsuhiko helped her walk and bandaged her ankle. She complimented him sincerely, even calling him her "outstanding rescuer". It might have been to make him feel better, but Ai has never complimented a little kid like that before. On the other hand, Conan is too busy thinking about Ran to like Haibara more than a very good friend. I guess it depends on whether or not Haibara decides to take APTX4869. If she doesn't, then 10-20 years later, Mitsuhiko will be more mature and they would be almost compatible.

You can't read it for free on the internet anymore because it got licensed. In fact, onemanga.com removed all of its scanlations recently, so you can't read anything on it anymore. I also tried mangafox.com, but you can't read DC there either.

I want Detective Conan to end and have them defeat the B.O. so that we all know what happens, but for the series to continue as Detective Shinichi, so that we can keep watching him solve cases.

I don't think that they would be able to employ Conan. He would escape the moment their backs were turned, and then they would have to look for him all over again. No offense, I agree that if Conan was forced to work for them, they would gain a huge advantage, but I just can't imagine Conan helping the B.O.

I agree that the art isn't very good in the second one, and the first game kept freezing when I played it, too. However, I couldn't find any mention of online Conan games on this site, so I added this post. I'm going to remove the links from my post. It's better to be safe than sorry.

In the detective conan TV special, Lupin 3 vs. Conan, it shows that Lupin 3 and his accomplices learned Conan's identity. Kaitou Kid has known Conan's identity since the end of movie 3, The Last Wizard of the Century, because he shows up disguised as Shinichi at the moment Conan was about to reveal his identity. Later, he asks Conan why he (kid) would help his enemy with his (conan) own problem, implying that he knew his identity.

I think that there are two online detective conan games, in addition to the ones for video game consoles. The first one is a game where you enter the Cluedo House and search for clues related to the case five years ago, and the second one is a case where you try to solve the mystery behind a girl searching for a man who she met six months ago. I tried both of them online. The first game had some glitches and began freezing in the middle of the game, but the second game was fine.

I want someone to figure out that Conan is Shinichi. Possibly Ran, one of the Detective Boys, Inspector Meguire, or someone else close to him. That would really change the plot. However, I wouldn't want them to tell everyone about it. I'm hoping that the B.O. will figure out that Conan is Shinichi by themselves. Also, I hope that Akai Shuichi is still alive. I don't have any idea if the guy with a burn scar is really him, but I think that if he was still alive, he would go into hiding. Akai's too smart to go walking around on the streets when the B.O. belives that he's dead. I wonder what the CIA agent meant when she said that she was "glad it had worked out so well" right before killing Akai. I'm hoping that it referred to a plan between her and Akai to fake his death.

That's a nice ending, too, although it's kinda sad. Your ending gave me another idea. Maybe Conan/Shinichi will appear to die and take the boss of the organization with him, then somehow return unscathed days/weeks later at another case. After all, Holmes had a near-death experience while trying to deafeat a villain, too.

Nobody ever seems to age! They have solved over 500 cases, yet Conan is still in grade one. Unless they fit multiple cases into one day, which I don't think they did, it's impossible for all that to take place in one year. I guess that it's better this way though, with Conan and the others staying the same age. If Conan became as old as or older than Shinichi was originally (like OVA 9 but for real) and they still haven't found a cure, then the story would get complicated. If the characters aged with the anime, then Conan would be about 20 by now, even older than Shinichi was.

I think that Conan and murder cases attract each other. I wouldn't want to hang out around him, but as the audience, it's fun to watch him unravel the murderer's scheme.

This was my favorite OVA. It was really sad when Ran told Conan/Shinichi that she could wait for another ten years, and when Conan tried to tell her that he was Shinichi. That was a horrible nightmare, but it could also actually come true. Maybe it motivated Conan a bit more because he didn't want that to happen. However, I think that Ran would notice how Conan looks just like Shinichi, wouldn't she?

I agree with everyone who thinks that Haibara will stay a child. There was this one episode where she told Conan that she wished she could lose her memory of working with the Black Organization and become a normal child with a normal life. Haibara will probably try to re-live her life as a normal kid. I also agree that the Detective Boys will become the modern-day Baker Street Irregulars along with Shinichi, the modern-day Sherlock Holmes. They'll still hang out with him, helping solve cases after he becomes Shinichi, but they'll miss Conan, their playmate. Maybe Shinichi will continue to play with them occasionally, though. He was good at pretending to be a kid and once even acted like a kid without having to pretend (he threw a tantrum on Proffesor Agasa's table when his favorite soccer team lost a match).

What do you think will happen to the Black Organization in the end? I believe that Conan, Ai, and the police force will finally defeat it and Ai will use the information contained in the computers to make a permanent antidote for the drug to turn Conan into Shinichi again. However, I also believe that not every member will be caught. Everyone will be identified using the information stored inside the computers, but a few (I'm guessing Gin and Vodka) will go into hiding. Shinichi will go after them and capture them weeks later, when they make an attempt on his life. This is just what I think will happen. What do you think will happen to the Black Organization?

I know for sure that Kid had figured out who Conan was by the end of the third movie because he appeared as Shinichi right when Conan was about to tell Ran his true identity. A few minutes later, when Ran was out of earshot, he asked Conan why he would come help his enemy with his own problem, indirectly stating that he knew Conan was Shinichi.

I've never considered that! However, I really don't think that Agasa is involved in the B.O. All of his inventions have helped Conan, and a lot of them caused him to get clos(er) to penetrating the secrets of the organization. He's also known Shinichi for years. Being such a good detective, Shinichi would've realized that something was wrong as some point or another. Conan usually figures out disguises in a few hours. He discovered Irish and Vermouth's disguises in the 13th movie, as well as finding Keito Kid's disguises coutless times. I have a hard time believing that anyone could fool him for a few weeks, let alone years. Also, Ai Habara lives in Agasa's home. With all those chances to finish her off, why doesn't he do it? Since he knows Conan's true identity, why wouldn't he tell the B.O.? Sorry, but I think that Professor Agasa has helped Conan too much to be involved in the organization. There is one piece of evidence that points to Agasa as the boss, though. Vermouth is said to be the bosses' favorite. She also knows Conan's true identity. Perhaps he only told her because she was his favorite, and she's keeping it a secret from everyone else on his orders. I still don't know why he wouldn't inform everyone, though. However, I do believe that the boss could be involved in the police force, under disguise. He might not trust his subordinates, probably having being betrayed before, so he would want to find out the truth for himself.

I find it very surprising that Ran hasn't figured it out yet. She's suspected that he was Shinichi many times. I guess that Ran's not a detective, so she's not picking up on the clues. There have been several times when something happened to confirm that they were not the same person, though. For instance, Keito Kid appeared as Shinichi twice with Conan present. However, he was acting strange one of those times because he wanted to get caught. I believe that when Conan turns back into Shinichi forever, he will tell Ran exacly who he was. Whether she will believe him or not, I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure that she won't belive him if he tells her his true identity in Conan form, though.

I think that Kaitou Kid is a bit arrogant at times, but he cares about human life. When Conan fell off the building, he dove to save him. Even when he was shooting at Conan, he wasn't using real bullets (playing cards came out of the gun). There were several other times when he saved lives, including when he took Genta's Miracle land VIP pass, which was about to explode, and when he used the lights of police cars as runway lights for the plane they were trying to land. He also helped Conan keep his secret from Ran by disguising as Shinichi. Even though Kid's a theif, he steals stuff mostly to challenge Conan and the police, since they can't catch him. A lot of times he returns the items he stole.

I don't think that movie 14 will be the last one. A while ago, I saw online that someone said movie 13 would be the last one, but they made another movie. I think that it's going to be a good movie. I've seen all of the others and most of them are really good, too. I don't think that they will stop making movies until they end the series. Haibara Ai is close to making a permanent antidote, though....

Happy anniversary! Detective Conan World is now one year old!

Thank you for adding the video section! It would be really nice if you could allow us to watch episodes here too. And please add English subtitles. I'm having trouble watching videos online because a lot of episodes are hard to find, and when you find them, they don't have subtitles so I can't understand them. Will the new movie (#14) be added? There are also several new episodes that aren't on the list yet. Once again, thank you!

My favorite characters are Shinichi/Conan (they're pretty much the same person) and Ran, though Haibara Ai is a close third. It's so cool how Shinichi can solve the cases so easily and remains calm. He's also a quick thinker and a great soccer player. He loses some of his athletic ability when he becomes Conan, but his mind is still sharp. Ran often comes to Conan's rescue when he's overpowered by an enemy. She is really good at karate! Most of the time she isn't that much of a help with the cases, but she's gotten Conan out of a lot of tight spots. Haibara Ai is a close friend of Conan's. I thought that their friendship was kind of ironic, since she developed the drug that shrank Shinichi. However, she changed sides and created a lot of temporary antidotes for his condition, and will probably someday create the drug that permanently turn him back into Shinichi. She's also intelligent, probably the only smart one in the detective boys, besides Conan. Heiji is my fourth favorite character. He's one of Shinichi's best friends and they solved a lot of cases together. They're equal in intellect and physical ability too. I like everyone else equally, and for different things. Proffesor Agasa for his inventions, Ayumi for her cuteness, ect.
