Akemi was killed because she was a liability because 1) She was trying to pull Shiho away from the Organization 2) She was the key Akai used to break into the Organization and thus a contact for him. Gosho answered a question recently in an interview saying Elena was smarter than Jodie or Vermouth. Q: "Who's the smartest of them? Sister outside the domain, Jodie, Miyano Elena, Vermouth" --> Miyano Elena A: "Miyano Elena is the smartest. Since she's creating an incredible drug." Also it would be a huge gamble to assume that Shiho would be smarter as a tiny child (which would be when Elena and Atsushi were killed), and get rid of the two of them expecting Shiho to be able to take their place. Will you elaborate further on these two ideas?

Well, like I said, there was never a case in DC where the corpse was drained of blood to make it lighter, in cases or AOs. The only somewhat similar case, the vampire mansion one, happened years after that real life murder... The reporter messed up somewhere, which is pretty typical.

There was never a case involving that trick in Detective Conan. It sounds like something Kindaichi would do.

Why do you all think the Black Organization focuses on getting people into entertainment (Kir, Vermouth) when science and computer stuff is more of their end goal? Why have we not encountered any canon science/tech BO who are infiltrating clean companies? Why do you think the Black Organization members are confused about Rum's obvious appearance, like whether he is masculine or feminine, old or young, yet everyone knows and agrees about his fake eye? Why would the parents drug themselves? They wanted to observe Conan's reactions, so it would make much more sense for them to pretend to be asleep.

It was never stated what they really were. Since everything was faked, the pills we saw Yuusaku holding were probably some over-the-counter drug like ibuprofin.

I was impressed he actually acted like a kid. Most of Gosho's 1st graders behave more like 5-6th graders, so expected more of the same in this case. I know Gosho has his children act way older because he needs them to be mature enough to keep on task and be useful to cases, but 5-6th graders aren't as cute as grade oners. (Besides a highschooler getting shrunken back to late elementary/early middle school isn't as catchy of an idea.)

The last disk Haibara accidentally mailed Akemi (which was erased by the Night baron virus) had real names, addresses, and codenames of agents, and the name of the person/people who invested money for the research that were in with the drug data. I think it is likely the disk Haibara is lying about probably also contains this information.

The pacing was really good. This one has a solid start.

What should it be changed to?

I said this on the talk:anime page, the layout is great, but I think the current orange is a bit bright. Maybe a lighter shade would be good. I like the grey orange #efead7 because it sort of visually signifies the remasters are filler.

There appears to be a continuation of the attack, although not as large as the previous. http://www.reddit.com/r/China/comments/346a5e/warning_new_firewall_dns_spoof_redirecting_to/ Get a javascript blocker (noscript for FF), download something to enforce https protocol on as many sites as possible like https everywhere, and switch your DNS to something like OpenDNS if you were affected before. It's pretty awful that a whole country's internet got hijacked like this. I hope all of the affected don't get something nasty on their computers. Whatever thing is replacing javascript with custom script could definitely serve up malware instead of just redirecting.
