  3. From this moment on, Discussion Threads of the weekly released Manga cases will be separated into two types: One for readers who read and discuss any kind of spoiler (including the Chinese scan) before the English version gets released; the other one is for readers who decide to stick up with the English files only. And THIS THREAD will be used to discuss the ENGLISH ONLY VERSION. In other words, if you only read early spoilers or the Chinese scanlation and wish to discuss them, this is NOT the right place for you ! RULES OF THE ENGLISH ONLY NO SPOILER DISCUSSION THREAD: 1. DO NOT POST any kind of spoiler involving the case (Pictures, Texts, Information, Full Scans...) if any language. Even posting spoilers in spoiler boxes is not allowed. 2. Please DO NOT reveal, give hints or talk about any information or event that has not yet happened in the English releases in this thread. Q&A: 1. Why is this whole thing necessary ? A: Click here. 2. Can I join the discussion in the other thread as well ? A: Of course you can. HOWEVER, as mentioned in the rules above, you MUST NOT reveal, give hints or talk about ANYTHING that spoils in this thread if you do.
  4. I think the problem is on your end. That was deleted on April 8, about 2 hours after it first appeared. I don't know why it would show up after that.
  5. Every now and then somebody paid to put spam on random wikis targets this one, often the Black Org page. Usually it gets reverted quickly. The reason I am asking is because the last time someone spammed the page was April 8. which is about two and a half weeks ago. It might be a problem on your end with page caching. What exactly do mean by "summary" and what did the webpage look like when you saw the summary? Did it look like this?
  6. Forked your post into a separate topic. Can you explain what happened in a bit more detail?
  7. I do think Bourbon has a good chance of being the "loyalty-may-be-questionable" type like Vermouth. Gin commented that Bourbon was secretive like Vermouth, but Amuro seems to be like her in other ways. If we look at Amuro's attachments, he still cares about people in his civilian life (Date Wataru) which means he is not completely ruthless and could sympathize with a story (true or not) Vermouth might tell him about why Conan and Ran are important to her. Regarding the risk Vermouth was taking mentioning Conan and Ran, I think he forced her hand. Amuro was probably suspicious of Kogoro from the start because of the Ding Dong Dash case. (Scar Akai had Kogoro's number well before Amuro appeared) When Amuro was researching targets and trying to convince the boss/Vermouth of his plan to find the not-dead Akai, she heard about his intent concerning the Mouri family and made him make the promise in exchange for her help and support because it was better than her doing nothing and hoping Amuro didn't destroy the Mouris. I agree with this.
  8. Akai has met Shiho in person because 1) His mission was to get close to Shiho using Akemi in order to gain entry and status to move up the Organization. This would be hard to do without some face to face time. 2) Akai said at the end of the Vermouth showdown he was not ready to face to Shiho. (V42-10 pg 13) Considering Shiho was lying unconscious on the ground when Akai left he meant it both figuratively and literally. 3) Conan explicitly says that Shiho most likely knows Akai's face. (File 605 pg 9) 4) In recent chapters Haibara remembers Akai (as Dai) with Akemi in pictures rather than just text suggesting that she has seen them together.
  9. Your twitter is still spamming btw...

  10. I'd love to see you show some evidence of this. Also, Akai was curious. When he was watching Conan call Rena's boss's he asked Jodie about who Conan was, but like I said before, he is busy, and doesn't have much to start from. Because he is undercover. If Akai thought the rest of the FBI would be able to do a good job of hiding their real reactions and acting well, he would have told them about his plan with Rena and Camel to return her to the Org. But he didn't think so, so he kept it a secret. If he thought the FBI would be able to ask realistically and maintain the secret when he faked his death with Kir and Conan's help he would have told the FBI about it. But he didn't think so, so he kept it a secret. The Black Org is watching the FBI.http://forum.dctp.ws/index.php?topic=402.msg37837#msg37837
  11. The way stuff is going in the manga now, I wonder if we are only a few cases from the start of the conclusion?

My thoughts exactly! It would be sad though, as he has ignored a lot of development I had hoped would happen. :\

  12. Basically you are saying that because Akai was curious and really wanted to know Conan's identity, he therefore does know it. Your logic doesn't makes sense because Akai doesn't just magically learn something because he wants to know the truth. You are overlooking that Conan's secret isn't easy to figure out and Akai has to do a lot of investigation to get there. 1) Akai had known and met Shiho before, so when he finally got a good look at Haibara, he could easily connect the two. Akai doesn't know Shinichi and had been out of the country when Shinichi disappeared and thus had missed all of Shinichi's cases in the news and stuff because he was in America. 2) Furthermore, in the middle of all of the stuff going on in the Vermouth arc, we have Shinichi doing things that make him and Conan look like different people to trick Ran, including recruiting Haibara and taking an antidote so that Conan and Shinichi would be in the same place at the same time. Jodie took pictures of this as part of her snooping, so even if Akai had suspicions, they would be dampened by some impossibility he would have to explain. 3) Akai is really busy. He is trying to keep an eye on Haibara, tracking Vermouth, then tracking the Black Org and doing whatever he can to interfere. When Red vs. Black finally rolls around and Akai really gets to meet Conan up close and personal, he's so busy he barely sleeps. Even if he is curious, his research time is going to sapped by his life and job. Now as Okiya, he has free time.... (Copied from here) Conan doesn't want Okiya to learn much about Shinichi - because Conan is paranoid even around friendlies. Conan hid all his pictures and family albums and told Ran not to talk about Shinichi around Okiya. As stated before, Conan is a paranoid person even when he is pretty sure the people he is cooperating with are friendlies. He didn't trust Jodie right up until Vermouth revealed herself ("The Truth Behind the Mask" 42-9 (433)). Limiting the number of people who know information that could get everyone around you killed is a good idea in general. The syndicate has gotten the better of the FBI in past cases and the org probably spies on the FBI heavily. Thus if it isn’t necessary, Conan would probably prefer the FBI doesn’t know his true identity.
  13. Akai had not heard of Shinichi before he became Okiya. Unlike the case with Haibara who he had met as Shiho, even if he strongly suspected Conan was like her, he had no hints as to who Conan was before. Akai's first hint to who Conan might be came came when Conan lended him the keys to Shinichi's house which he then searched, and then got more later when Ran and Sonoko came over to clean. Also, even though Akai knew about the voice changer, he was confirming Conan was using it to make Shinichi's voice thus proving he was Shinichi.
  14. I lean this way too because of what he said, but I refuse to get off the fence because not trying to stop her seems reckless.

  20. There is no html is involved because wikimarkup is its own thing for the most part. You can create a nice page simply by looking at a pre-existing page with elements you like using the edit button and copying the formatting text. It takes maybe about 10-15 minutes to figure out the basics by trial and error, and we have a sandbox to try things out in. You can use this reference for the really basic stuff and this reference for anything more complicated. The hardest things are the templates, infoboxes, and charts but all you have to so make a list of what you want in there and someone may make one.If I knew your user page name, I could copy your stuff into it and get you started.
  21. Maybe the policy will change come a new arc. The anime section is supposed to be anime spoiler free, and manga spoilers should always be covered regardless of location.

  22. DCW has never had a clear policy about anime spoilers in general discussion. Far more often than not anime spoilers are uncovered because a lot of plot sensitive threads are on the general board. It seems to be status quo at this point. The boards were initially set up with little separation as far as I can tell and then there is the wiki which is a spoilerific free-for-all.

  23. I think it's a good idea. Why don't you make a test page for one of the chemicals you have done so far, like cyanide? That way you could establish the standards for the pages in a way you think would be most sane and useful, and people would have something to critique. As far as linking goes, all of the crime infoboxes try to specify the chemical cause of death so that would be a natural place to link.
  24. Conan is relatively reckless. He does better in more normal settings, but he can't control himself around cases at all which leaves a trail of witnesses and strange scenarios. He's tried to get better about it when he knows there is overt danger, but still screws up when cases are involved. Also he has been handed an idiot ball in the latest chapters, especially 812-814, for the sake of plot. Okiya knew Conan was Shinichi back in the paper plane case, but didn't have the absolute proof. If Okiya had bad intentions he wouldn't have teased Conan about it so openly, instead hiding that he knew to use against Conan later. Also Okiya doing it with Sera nearby may suggest Okiya doesn't view her as an enemy.
