  1. You're right, I'm sure. I was just hopeful~ If they didn't make much for profit from it before, its unlikely anything will be different now.
  2. Shuu! I knew all along you were still alive!
  3. Shinichi and Ran all of the way. There has been far too much emphasis on their relationship to not be the most plausible outcome come time for the series to finally end. All of those hundreds upon hundreds of episodes that build their relationship up from "childhood friend" to "best friend" to "crush" and now its more of in the area where they have both, more or less, confessed to each other. I hear wedding bells! From what I've seen, Haibara has more of a respect for Shinichi than actual crush. She is an adult, she is capable of differentiating between those two feelings of admiration. Besides, she has also come to respect Ran in a way, especially since Ran resembles her late older sister. In a sense, if she were to wedge between Shinichi and Ran's relationship, it may feel like she would be hurting her sister as well. Just my two cents.
  4. One of the ways to do this that comes to my mind is initiating a petition. A hand-written petition completed through hard work, blood, sweat and tears — none of that silly internet petitioning! With all those signatures of Detective Conan/Case Closed fans, it seems like one of the best ways to at least get the proposal noticed by Funimation.
  5. Tough to say — I've watched so many episodes I'm having trouble remembering for sure. Although, I do remember loving the TV original "Two Days with the Culprit" (547-548). Funny and cute.
  6. Oh boy, only a few of my close friends know I'm into Detective Conan, or any other manga/anime for that matter. I look at it like my guilty pleasure that should not be shared with classmates. It's a shame, really! Maybe I should be more open about it and I'll meet the other people at the college who are just as much an otaku as I often am. I know I mustn't be the only one here!
  7. Very interesting and courageous of you! Creating a game (a detective one, no less) is quite a challenge for you to consider! One thing I would certainly encourage is to have a single whole plot line along with number other smaller plots that tie in to help process the overall picture. For example, maybe add in a flashback somewhere within the main plot that involved something important to the character that was taken away by the antagonist, and revealing their time/re-obtaining what is important to them being the center focus of the game. Meanwhile, as you begin your adventure into the detective field, you're side-tracked with various cases that eventually (once solved) leave you with a small clue that involves the overall goal of the detective — even if he or she doesn't initially realize it. The others above me have posted excellent suggestions as well! I especially agree with the "adventure" suggestion. Lets see out hero roam! Tying in a moral could help add depth as well and inspire various events during the timeline of the adventure. "There is only one truth", for example. On a final note, as any mystery-lover may be interested in, how about a 1900s London timeframe? Sherlock would be proud. Edit: And I just realized this was an older topic bumped up! Pardon me, haha!
  8. The good old days when Cartoon Network wasn't trying to weed out anime. If I remember right, they never even aired a good amount of the English dubbed episodes from Funimation due to some low ratings. Too bad the show hadn't made it far here in the U.S. Well, at least I'm under the assumption they aren't doing much work with "Case Closed" anymore!
  9. Oh, we all know Shinichi would have certainly figured out Light was Kira on day one! They're both very similar detectives, however the way they handle cases are much different. I would argue that Shinichi is much more aggressive — or at least, he's put into far more dangerous situations that make him appear to be. Shinichi will hop into the fray regardless of the dangers, driven to find that one single truth by all means necessary. L would just as well have send someone else as his investigator to gather whatever information he needed. Therefore, I believe L is more likely to play it safe. Shinichi is more impulsive, though he has his wits to keep him safe. L, on the other hand, is more manipulative, almost like a "mind detective". Instead of solely physical evidence, he pays more attention to the demeanor of his suspect and their tone. At least in the Kira Case. Quite frankly, I bet they would make a great team. L, with all of his resources and influence, would easily be able to pinpoint the location(s) of the Black Organization hideout(s) and where Kira is located. Meanwhile, Shinichi could fill in the gaps of detaining them. Undoubtedly with all of the sophisticated and complex ways to murder individuals he has deciphered, laying some sort of trap or acquiring the physical evidence of their crimes would be plausible for him. Besides, Kira couldn't kill Shinichi. After all, his persona of "Conan Edogawa" doesn't really exist! In conclusion, I'll end my rambling with this — Shinichi is more of a "field operative", whereas L has more resource information to rely on and therefore more of a "behind the scenes" guy.
  10. That's a tough call! But, I would have to say my absolute favorite Detective Conan movie thus far is movie 8: Magician of the Silver Sky. Not just because of some hilarious scenes and that our favorite phantom thief plays a major role, but.. the action! Thrown onto a plane with only ill pilots and no outside guides is one of the most intense situations I've seen concerning Detective Conan! Not to mention a domino-effect of everything that could go wrong does! I remember the first time I watched it I was awe-stuck and sitting on the edge of my seat. Of all the films, this one impacted me the most. (Besides, I mean come now, there is an intense scene between Shinichi and Ran, too!)
  11. Jodie Starling happens to be my favorite member of the F.B.I., so it just happened. Though actually, I saw that we were allowed spaces in the names after I noticed Shuuichi Akai up there above me earlier when I joined the community. I realized "oh wow, I can be anonymous and use a character's name!", and decided to follow suit and do so!
  12. Oh how, that's very impressive! I absolutely love those crisp, clear lines. Good job!
  13. Yet another new-comer to your Detective Conan World! I began watching Detective Conan, or rather "Case Closed" at the time, on Adult Swim during its atrocious 3:00am (or so) time slot. I remember setting my alarm clock for 3am just to make sure I was up to watch the latest case! Now I've rediscovered my old passion for this anime/manga, and have become even more indulged in it than before! I'm sure I'll be quite comfortable here.
