    Ranma 1/2

A boy who transforms as a girl when he is wet with cold water and who transforms back as a boy when he is wet with... very hot water. And his father transforms as a panda (I love it ! lol !). He is set to marry the beautiful Akane after their parents, two friends, arrange their mariage. But the perverted master Happosai (the evil incarnate), which their fathers thought to have killed years ago, comes back and their lives become a nightmare. Other than that, the female seiyus formed a band called Ranma Doco back then and they performed several songs for the series (several openings, but once in the series itself), sometimes with Kappei Yamaguchi as a guest ("The Ballad of Ranma and Akane"). Doco Forever ! Ranma Doco Opening Ranma Doco Song
  2. That's exactly what I said, Masumi talks to Ran like she knows her mother, but Ran doesn't know that this person is Masumi's mom.
  3. From what we've seen so far, I think we could say that she acts like Bourbon, which is too direct to say she is. Sera seems like she spies on Bourbon's most likely targets for some reason, like Jodie did before her during Vermouth's case. That could also explain why she seems somewhat satisfied when she saw that someone lives in Kudo's house. Someone who acts the same way she does could be Bourbon... except that Subaru may have his own good reason which may be totally different. But the strangest thing is how she talks to Ran like she knows her mother (and Aoyama insists a lot on it, that's an important clue) and the fact that even Conan/Shinichi finds her familiar. But, apart from Kazumi Tsukamoto, Ran's senpai in the karate club (who looks a lot like Sera but who is far too young to be her mother), I don't see any other character who looks like Sera.

    Ranma 1/2

I love that series, very funny ! Yes, there were several seiyus of DC in this series: Minami Takayama (Nabiki/Conan), Kappei Yamaguchi (Ranma boy/Shinichi/Kaito), Megumi Hayashibara (Ranma girl/Ai) and Kenichi Ogata (Genma/Agasa). Maybe even more. LOL !
  5. I've just coming back from X-Men: First Class. Excellent movie, the best of the saga, even better than X2.

  6. She is a detective. Shinichi is also able to deduce a lot of infos about persons he meets for the first time. Other than that, the three high-school detectives are finally reunited. True. This is very suspicious to see how often she appears since her first appearance. And her true goal remains completely unknown, the only thing we know being that she has some kind of interest in Haibara.
  7. For the time being, the only character which had been explicitly referenced to Moriarty was James Black, suggesting that he could be a villain, but it was a trap.
  8. Two movies I want to see (like many people): X-Men First Class and Green Lantern. Trailer X-Men First Class Trailer Green Lantern And a first look at one of the two villains of The Dark Knight Rises: Bane. http://media.comicbookmovie.com/images/uploads/forhashtagunaltered.jpg Now, I want to see Catwoman !
  9. She probably knows because she was his wife. Maybe she even helped him to find ideas for his stories. But, if Anokata was amoung the main cast member, do you think Aoyama would have tell him/her ? Because, if no other cast member knows his identity... Unless Minami Takayama herself is Anokata ? lol !

    Bourbon

That Vermouth helped Sera disguise into Scar Akai. But Bourbon could be a loner and he could want to figure everything out by himself (his detective pride). Being a detective, I don't think Bourbon would do anything against them before he has all collected all the proofs he needs to demonstrate who Conan and Haibara really are. Well, I'm not so sure about that. In the crisis, they could be allies, but I don't think they would really work together. Rena would mention that the FBI find out, but she has taken the decision to include them in her spying work herself. I don't know if the CIA would just say "okay", especially since they haven't manifest yet.
  11. Yes, sorry ! That's because Shaolan is the french transcription of the name of the main character. I didn't know about the english transcription (I thought it was the same).

    Bourbon

So, nobody wants to react to that theory ? If someone sees some mistakes in it, don't hesitate to point it out, I'd like to know where I'm wrong with my theories (that's part of the game). Well, at least there is one thing I am absolutely sure: both Subaru Okiya and Masumi Sera know that Shinichi Kudo is still alive (as far as the Black Organization knows, he's supposed to be dead) and they could have easily understand who Conan and Haibara truly are. If one of them is Bourbon, the end of the arc could be deadly for Conan and Ai. But for the time being, Bourbon can't act until he/she has every proofs he needs to demonstrate to the boss and his/her fellow Black Organization members that Conan and Haibara are in fact Shinichi Kudo and Sherry (to add to the mystery, both Subaru and Masumi tries to approach Conan and to spy on the professor house. Masumi also joins Ran's school: if she becomes her friend, she would also have the perfect opportunity to spy on the Mouri's agency).

    Bourbon

Well, another theory: Masumi Sera is Bourbon. First, let's talk about Scar Akai. What really disturbs me about this character is the fact that he doesn't appear much. At least not enough to be a "suspect" in a detective story, but he's still strange. The second fact that is strange about this case is Vermouth's sudden appearance, and Gin suggesting Scar Akai is Bourbon. It would simply be way too easy. At the contrary, there are two persons in Conan's surroundings which seem to be connected to the Bourbon's case and which are far more prominent in the series: Subaru Okiya and Masumi Sera. Maybe Gosho Aoyama is tricking us and makes us believe there are three suspects where there are only two. Except if he's a weirdo, why would Bourbon disguise as Akai ? I think the "I take the face of the person I hate most" was purposely introduced by Aoyama in a major case to trick us. I think it's more like "mind's play" with Bourbon trying to confuse or to make contact with someone by using Akai's appearance. And this someone is likely to be Subaru Okiya. After having seen the bank footage, Subaru, who obviously knew Akai, would try to know if this Scar Akai is the real one (the reason for the scar being that it wouldn't be credible otherwise). An important element is that Gin was also confused when he saw Scar Akai, until Vermouth reveals the truth to him. Vermouth's abilities to disguise people were very likely used. And the result was confusing. But, by inspecting Scar Akai using the cell phone, Subaru would have noticed he is right-handed: he's a fake. Thinking Scar Akai is likely a BO agent, Subaru would think the Black Organization is trying to trap him and take a look outside, seemingly confirming his suspicions. During the case, Scar Akai hasn't noticed Subaru but he would have very likely noticed Conan Edogawa when he resolves the case instead of Kogoro Mouri, especially since he used deductions which weren't in his SMS. Someone suggested Masumi Sera could be Akai's sister and that they have some physical similarities (I have some difficulties with that because a lot of Conan's characters bear ressemblance because of Aoyama's style). We also know that Masumi can pretend to be either a boy or a girl (maybe she's not even really a girl, who knows ?) Thanks to Vermouth's abilities and her own similarities to Akai, Masumi could have played the part. That's when Conan would attract her attention at first and that she discovers that he is a detective. Also, the video with Ai. I really don't think no one in the organization would have seen that, but they would investigate it discretely rather than attacking the professor. The appearance of the video could coincide with Masumi's appearance (even if we didn't know about it until recently). Now, let's think if Masumi is the black organization member Bourbon. Then, Conan would have done a MAJOR mistake: by two times, he uses the alias of Shinichi Kudo in front of her, the same Shinichi who was supposedly assassinated by Gin and whose disappearance was investigated by the Black Organization. Masumi places a very suspicious comment: "And I thought someone has settled in without permission !". Whose permission ? Shinichi is supposedly deceased and his parents are in America. If Masumi is Bourbon, she knows now that Shinichi Kudo is still alive and she has very likely deduced that he is that boy, Conan Edogawa. Now, she knows about the professor and where he lives but doesn't seem to remember his name. Strangely, she knows about him but she's not an acquaintance of him. If she has seen the video with Haibara, it is very likely that she tries in fact to investigate the whereabouts this girl who looks like a lot like Sherry (if she knows Akai, it is also possible that she knew the Miyano sisters). It is simple to put 2 and 2 together: a little boy who is likely Shinichi Kudo and a little girl which looks like a younger version of an important scientist of the organization. Even without knowing about the Apotoxine itself, she could be very suspectful that they have found a way to rejuvenate to hide themselves. But until she has solid proof, she can't do anything. That's why all she has to do is to wait. On the other hand, Subaru's attitude is very strange since her appearance in front of the professor's house. Subaru has already show some care for Haibara (in the Ikkaku rocks case for example) and, after he sees Masumi, he follows the Detective Boys group (Haibara included). He is very likely someone who tries to protect her. For Subaru's true nature, he would be part of the CIA. After both Conan and Shuichi Akai discovered the truth about Rena Mizunashi's connection to the CIA, how would the CIA reacts to some people knowing such information ? Shuichi Akai could have played the part of his assassination to escape both from the Organization and the CIA but already planning his return for later, but Conan Edogawa would still know secret informations. Subaru Okiya would be an agent send by the CIA to spy and protect Conan Edogawa and his allies. To know everything about this young boy who entered the chessboard and to protect him if the organization tries to capture and torture him (he could compromise Rena's secret affiliance if the latter happen). He would spy on the professor's house even before his meeting with Conan (he lived near), and maybe he even knew some details from Yusaku Kudo (who has solid connections). I think Subaru Okiya would have been acquainted with Shuichi Akai for two reasons. Firstly, it would make him a suspicious character and a major suspect in the Bourbon case for the readers. Secondly, Shuichi Akai being dead, the CIA wouldn't have to care about spying and protecting him (which would arrange Akai, had he survived). If they discover that he could have survived indeed, it would only be logical that they investigate his sudden reappearance. But still, they couldn't know him well. Subaru Okiya, if he is a CIA agent and if he had a common past with Akai, would naturally be the one tasked to investigate Scar Akai's appearance. And the fact that he knew Akai would also explain how he could discover the masquerade on the simple fact that Scar Akai is right-handed. And now, the most confusing element: Masumi Sera is seen to be left-handed, so she can't be Scar Akai because she couldn't have used her right hand on instinct during the hostage crisis. In truth, the left-handed part is an act because, in the same condition of hostage crisis, Masumi Sera instinctively uses her right hand to hold Ran's phone (without having to compose the number): the lady is ambidextrous. And now, for the conclusion, if this theory is right and Masumi is Bourbon, the end of the Bourbon arc could be deadly for Conan: as Ai noted, he was too careless in front of her and now Bourbon would know that Shinichi Kudo is alive. Until he/she has solid proof that about the way they rejuvenate, both Conan and Haibara have a delay. But if Bourbon completes his investigation, the Black Organization could know about their true identites (I don't think Aoyama would do the Vermouth's "I keep it to myself" twice) and it can become very dangerous for both of them.
  14. It's not that it's hard to believe. The theory in itself is good and quite solid. But it's always best to think about all possibilities rather than to decide "this one is likely the good one". The "Subaru is Akai" theory is the best I've read for now, but still I'm not entirely convinced in the idea itself (to have a case with disguises again, which is Vermouth's specialty). I think more of a detective game where there is some rather strange characters and where the goal is to deduce which role each of them play, one being maybe a potential ally, another one being Bourbon, and the last one I don't know, something like that where the detective (Conan) must deduce which one of them is worthy of his trust in order to beat the bad guy.
  15. The Main Theme of Detective Conan, Quarter version: Main Theme - Quarter
  16. Yes, I've heard and I'm waiting to see this. I've watched the preview and, while it's not exactly a faithful adaptation, it seems interesting. But I don't think it will be better that the manga/anime which is already a masterpiece. 10 Minutes preview Unfortunately, I fear that the funny attitude of Ryo Saeba would disappear in the process. The live-action series seems to rely more on the romance than on the humor of the original manga/anime. Anime extract of City Hunter Still, whatever happens, the new series can't be worse than the other movie crap with Jackie Chan.
  17. For an important organization, it is very likely that they have several policemen (including some high-ranking to put pressions on some investigations) and some judges and attorneys in their hands. It is a very strong possibility. But I don't think the boss is a policeman himself. And I'm pretty sure that Eri Kisaki will have an important role at one point or another of the story. Such a competent attorney, either she is part of it, either she will become a menace for them. And there is the fact that Aoyama seems to try to prevent Haibara and Kisaki's meeting which is also strange, so she could be part of the Black Organization.
  18. For me, it's either Detective Conan or City Hunter. Both are great.
  19. Let's look at it this way: who are the members of the organization in their social covers ? Pisco: A business man, chairman of a car company. Vermouth: An Hollywood legend. Kir: A TV news reporter. The organization has the means to place its members on the highest level of society. And they have the best scientists and computer engineers of the world. They have also the best professional killers. I'm also pretty sure they have also agents in the highest level of police and justice, especially if things went wrong. And they have a great detective in their ranks that they can use if things become suspectful (like in the Kogoro Mouri's case). Who would be powerful and wealthy enough to have such an organization and to keep it such a secret ? Knowing that he could have a cover more modest and a different personality for Aoyama to play with us. One person I would rule out instantly is Jirokichi Suzuki because he would be too evident (but the fact that Ran has a very wealthy girl has her best friend is kinda suspectful though). Every children/teenagers of the series can also be ruled out instantly, I think. The same goes for Kogoro Mouri and Agasa.
  20. An awesome 10 minutes preview of the new City Hunter live action series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03AmNKsMEnY&feature=player_embedded
  21. Subaru Okiya might be a journalist of investigation. He is able to deduce things about a person from little elements thanks to his sharp observation and his deductive skills (his attitude is that of someone who spies on Conan and friends and who tries to approach them to learn more and collect informations), he has some strange statistical knowledge (the 0,12% thing), and he does an investigation work (the Teito area). He could be working to expose the Black Organization. "I was hoping to run into them." He is also not necessarily a man of action (even if he does fight sometimes), he prefers to observe others act. And the strange attitude of Conan: he looks like he wants to help him by letting him stay in his house, but he doesn't want him to learn about Shinichi Kudo. I think he feels that Subaru could be a potential ally, but that it's better for him if he doesn't know too much also.
  22. I've just thought of something, which would make Subaru Okiya even more suspicious. One of the few remaining minor mysteries of the series is what Kaito meant when he wrote "I have to talk about this with Kuroshi when I get up tomorrow." We are led to assume that he was talking about Conan, whom he calls Kuroshiro. Like said at the end of the chapters, Kaito certainly compared Conan to a police car (important element: Conan didn't say anything, he let them think that). But it is left ambiguous because the characters weren't easy to read, and it could have meant Kurayoshi (one character would have been erased and replaced with Edogawa. And maybe not erased by Kaito), the city which Conan and Haibara suppose to be linked to the boss of the organization. Kaito's father might be linked to the organization and what Kaito would have wrote would be what his father said during the conversation: "I have to talk with Kuroyashi (meaning the boss) when I get up tomorrow." I don't think Subaru Okiya is the boss (far too young and his actions would be too dangerous for someone so careful), but the strange thing is that he was definitely on the scene and that he is definitely linked in some way to the Black Organization. Another important element: Conan is remembered of something when he heard Subaru's address. It didn't seem so unknown to him. He could have learned something about it during his investigations on the boss, even if he can't point out exactly to what it refers. Subaru even confesses himself that he tries to hide his connections with the Black Organization (with the "I like black because it hides things inside me that I don't want known, but I also hate it for the same reason"). And the "New Neighboor" chapter's cover implies he has some kind of dual identity (I don't say schizophrenic, just a dual identity), with the mask half-white half-black. This dual identity could explain the whole "evanescent black aura" Haibara feels at time.
  23. When Masumi looked at the window, it didn't give me the impression of someone who is looking for her brother. Even if Subaru is Shuichi (which I'm not really convinced), maybe she mistakes him for someone else (Bourbon). One thing for sure: Masumi's appearance is not good news. Since seeing her, Subaru anticipated the fact that some strange people would try to capture Haibara, but he didn't thought they would mistake Ayumi for her.
