Cat's Eye is a manga by author Tsukasa Hojo (City Hunter, Angel Heart, Family Compo) which runs from 1981 to 1985. http://sochamphea.bloxode.com/images/121658325641.jpeg Recently, the Inunari police force is confronted to a mysterious thief, Cat's Eye, who is only interested by paintings of some great names. Failing to catch Cat's Eye, the young inspector Toshio Utsumi is constantly yelled at by his chief and goes usually to the café Cat's Eye to calm down with the company of Hitomi Kisugi, his girlfriend since high school, and her sisters Rui and Aï (the latter still being an highschooler) who own the business. Despite the name of the café (which gives him headaches), Toshio doesn't know that the thief he's chasing around the night is non other than the Kisugi sisters. The three young women, secret daughters of a world-known lost painter, Michael Heinz, steal his works to attract his attention, or at least the attention of people who would know what happened to their father after World War II. They don't know that their father's disappearance is linked to a vast plot of art contrefactors and that their activities place them in danger of death. Despite their rivalry, the three sisters know that the clumsy Toshio could help them, consciously or not, to attain their goal. But Hitomi is troubled by the fact that the dedicated inspector and boyfriend of hers is unknowingly their main source of informations about police activities. Could their love survive to all those lies ? And what will happen once Toshio will finally get an hold on Cat's Eye's face ? The arrival of new police officers and of a professional rival, the famous thief known as the Rat (in fact a journalist and a sexual pervert), will bring more fun and surprise at this game of hide and seek. This manga, first long-run series of the famous author Tsukasa Hojo, was adapted in two animated series, the first loosely based on some plots of the manga with the removal of some important characters, the second creating his own plots. http://japon-mangas-fans.allmyblog.com/images/japon-mangas-fans/3_20080510_153727.jpg A telefilm and a movie were also created with very little success. A manga remake (Cat's Eye or Cat's Ai) by author Asai Shin is set to begin at the end of October 2010. http://nekoden.com/files/2010/09/cats-eyes.jpg "We'll get you, Mysterious Girls !"

Angel Heart is an on-going manga by author Tsukasa Hojo (City Hunter, Cat's Eye, Family Compo) which runs since 2001. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_RNSSa0aexEM/Sr_cH7jWj2I/AAAAAAAAAdM/WZnFSbkusQE/s400/AngelHeart.JPG Tired of a life of murders, a young chinese assassin named Glass Heart kills herself. The criminal organisation she's involved with can't let her die and gives her a stolen heart from a recent deceased person. It turns out that the original owner of the heart, Kaori Makimura, was the wife and partner of the legendary City Hunter Ryo Saeba, the most feared sweeper of the world and protector of Shinjuku district. Saeba, devastated and now in his 40's, has since ceased his activities and tries to act as if nothing has happened, acting like the same old pervert, silently destroying himself deep down. Still in coma, Glass Heart sees Kaori and her memories of happiness with Saeba in her dreams. Haunted by these memories and suffocating because of the strong emotions when neither are truly hers, Glass Heart awakes, evades from the organisation and go to Japan to meet this Ryo Saeba and to give him back the stolen heart. Soon, Glass Heart enters in contact with some friends of Ryo who recognize her as Kaori, troubling her and also troubling the poor Ryo-chan who has no clue on what's happening. At the same time, the boss of the organisation is murdered and the suspect is Glass Heart who becomes the main target. Finally, Glass Heart meet the man of his dreams, Ryo Saeba, who vows to protect her and to inspire her the will of love again. Will the return of the angel Kaori save those two killers in a desperate need of love in a cruel world ? Will Saeba and Glass Heart be able to rebuild themselves as a normal family in a father-daughter relationship ? And will Ryo finally be able to realise his long-lasting dream to make mokkori with all the women of the world now that Kaori is no longer here ? (Not a chance ! lol !) This excellent manga is some kind of sequel of City Hunter but doesn't follow his predecessor's storyline, taking place in a parallel universe more dark, more serious and more social-oriented. The pasts of the characters are different but the major events still have happened (just differently from City Hunter). The manga gave birth to a 50 episodes animated series adapting most of the plots of volumes 1 to 18. Unlike Cat's Eye and City Hunter, this series follows very closely the stories of the manga, making it the most faithful adaptation of a Tsukasa Hojo's work and clearly the most violent of all. http://www.watchanimeon.com/images/188.jpg

I have it and finished it. The game is good (not great, good) but it's only entertaining the first time we play it. The plot involves the opening ceremony of a resort park called Mirapolis. Kogoro Mouri is invited and brings along all the group. Of course, soon, a series of murders begins to occur. Conan and Heiji investigate the case. This game has one huge quality: the story. The story is really good, one of the best Conan stories I think, with a lot of surprises, but the investigation can only follow one direction so the game won't surprise anymore after being completed once. As someone said before, two dubs: English and Japanese, both very good. The gameplay involves the use of a Wiimote but, sometimes, it's almost stupid (for example, when we must completely turn the Wiimote to turn a bag for finding a clue). The system of deduction is much more interesting but, in fact, the testimony almost only implies the important characters of the game (no random eyewitness). There is some mini-games and a gallery of illustrations to unlock to try to boost the game time beyond the first part, but that's probably the worst idea the game has. But only for the "one hell of a story", I don't regret to have buying it.

English (correct level) and French. I have also studied spanish a little in school but it didn't turn out well, and unfortunately all I can only understand it (approximatively) when I read it.

City Hunter is a manga by author Tsukasa Hojo (Cat's Eye, Angel Heart, Family Compo) which runs from 1985 to 1991. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/sq/c/c6/City-hunter-1.jpg Shinjuku District, Tokyo. An urban legend says that if people who have problems write an XYZ on the message board of the Shinjuku station, they will enter into contact with a sweeper, the City Hunter, which will listen to your request. In fact the so-called City Hunter is the alias of two persons: Hideyuki Makimura, former cop, and Ryo Saeba, a professional sweeper who is also a pervert, only listen the requests of beautiful women (Miss Mokkori) and ask to be paid with sexual business (which almost never happen). When Hideyuki Makimura is killed, his younger sister Kaori takes his place as Ryo's partner. But, unlike his brother, Kaori isn't as tolerant with Ryo the mokkori pervert and often physically abuse of him in order to protect the women customers (especially from Ryo's night visits). Happily to Kaori, Ryo doesn't see her as a woman, mistaking her for a man the first time he met her and calling her a travestie. With time, the gallery of characters expands with the appearance of several other sweepers (the most prominent of them being Umibozu) and other recurring characters such as policewoman Saeko Nogami which exploits her charms to make Ryo doing the dirty work for the police. A very fun manga, with a lot of action and humor (but also some very dark plots from time to time) and a great favorite of mine. Its anime adaptation consists of four series (City Hunter, City Hunter 2, City Hunter 3 and City Hunter 91), a movie ("A Magnum of Love's Destination"), two OVAs ("Bay City War" and "Million Dollar Conspiracy") and three TV Specials ("Secret Services", "Goodbye My Sweetheart" and "Live on Stage"). http://www.animeland.com/files/calculated/right/animebase/City_HUnter_livestage.jpg http://www.animeclick.it/prove/serie/CityHunter/CityHunter17.jpg http://www.animeclick.it/prove/serie/CityHunterSpecial4/CityHunterSpecial414.jpg Two live action movie adaptations of City Hunter also exist: an official parody with actor Jackie Chan which has almost nothing in common with the manga but is still funny (if you like second degree), and a more faithful unofficial adaptation called Mister Mumble with actor Michael Chow as Mumble. A TV series is also in project in South Korean with actor Lee Min-Ho taking the lead role of Ryo Saeba. A manga spin-off, Angel Heart, also exists, the more serious and very dark sequel of City Hunter in a parallel world where Kaori is deceased and where Ryo adopts a young chinese assassin, Glass Heart, which becomes his new partner in the City Hunter business.

Why not ? After all, he has some affinity with wine, possessing a huge cave. It could be interesting if the boss of the organisation is someone close to Shinichi. And I think Gosho Aoyama could have half-hinted it when Ran asked Shinichi if he would also confront someone close to him if this person turns out to have committed a crime (if I remember well, it was during the Night Baron case, when Ran suspected the Night Baron to be someone she admired).

Hi everyone ! Let me introduce myself. I'm Glass Heart and I'm a newcomer in this forum. I read Detective Conan for some years now (but I haven't read the whole run to be honest) and I am an avid fan of the movies (I've seen all of them, many of them I really like, some I was okay with, and only the last one I truly disliked). I'm also a very huge fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tsukasa Hojo's works (City Hunter, Angel Heart, Cat's Eye, Family Compo), Clamp's X and Saint Seiya (especially the original manga, the excellent spin-off The Lost Canvas, and even Next Dimension which is both the prequel and sequel of the original Saint Seiya manga). I also like Dragon Ball, Galaxy Express 999, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. Favorite manga: City Hunter. Favorite anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion (masterpiece). Favorite Detective Conan movie: Captured in Her Eyes. I also love The Magician of the End of the Century and The Raven Chaser. Other interests: Cinema (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman...) and video games (mainly adventure games and RPG such as The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Persona...). Also, to complete the introduction, I am french, I live in France and it's been quite some time I thought of joining an english-speaking forum to progress my english and to discover, I hope, a different point of view of the manga universe. I hope we'll get along well !
